욕실과 인접한 아파트 드레스룸의 결로 원인 분석 (An Experimental and Simulation Analysis of Condensation in the Walk-in Closet Attached to Apartment Bathroom)

  • Purpose: Condensation in walk-in closets attached to apartment bathroom has been known as an emerging issue that may threat occupants' comfort and health. Despite a number of design guidelines and enforcements to prevent condensation, condensation issues may still occur depending on various cases and scenarios. We aim to identify what condensation scenarios may lead to walk-in closet condensation and/or worse the existing condensation issues. Method: First we choose an actual walk-in closet of an apartment that suffers from sporadic condensation and resulting mold and mildew. Then we observe its relative humidity and temperature after the bathroom is used, in which excessive vapor is thought to be transported to the walk-in closet. We analyze Temperature Difference Ratio - a domestic indicator of condensation occurrence, and dew point temperature to compare it with surface temperature using 2D heat transfer simulation upon various condensation scenarios. Result: TDR of the test walk-in closet turns out be OK despite mold and mildew actually occurring. Hot water pipe installed in the floor would greatly reduce condensation. If hot water pipe in the upper floor, however, is not used, or hot water pipe of the closet is turned off during swing seasons, it is expected that condensations may still occur.

마그네슘 합금제 휠 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study of Manufacturing AZ91D Mg Alley Wheel)

  • 마그네슘은 20여년간 자동차 산업에서 휠소재로 사용되어 왔다. 마그네슘 휠은 무게가 알루미늄 휠보다 25% 가벼워서 주행성이 우수하다. 이 연구의 목적은 사형주조 및 영구금형주조 공정에 의한 AZ91D 합금제 췰을 개발하는 것이다 보호개스$(SF_6+CO_2)$를 사용하는 비플럭스 용해기술을 적용하여 용탕의 산화와 불순물의 유입을 배제하였다 마그네슘 용탕은 가압식 펌프시스템을 사용하여 가열된 파이프를 통하여 모울드에 자동으로 공급된다. 열처리 및 인고트의 조성에 따른 AZ91B 합금제 휠의 기계적 특성을 조사하였다.

  • Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) is applied as structural material. CFRP is excellent in plane strength / stiffness and don't haves rust. Lightweight, rigid and robust at the same time as transportation material. Aluminum alloy and reinforcement material The application is increasing rapidly. In this study, the prototype of a semi - Monocoque structure frame, Longeron, Stringer, Skin of the aircraft, restraining the rigidity Clips of the aircraft was designated as the target product and the experiment was conducted. ln the experiment, (1) For CFRTP 3 points, data on heating, transfer, and cooling were measured using Thermo Couple, and optimum temperature required for flexible state was obtained. Heating was performed at a temperature 15% higher than the provided temperature. (2) By using a pneumatic press during molding, by dividing LH, center and RH according to the cooling time, thickness parameter of the target product due to the load is measured, and thickness control and time-deviations were analyzed and cross sections were observed with a low magnification microscope.

열가소성 직물탄소복합소재 사출 성형품의 표면 함침 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on the improvement of impregnation on the surface of injection-molded thermoplastic woven carbon fabric composite)

  • In molding of continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites, it is very difficult to impregnate between the reinforcements and the matrix since the matrix has a high melting temperature and high viscosity. Therefore, most of composite molding processes are divided in the manufacturing processes of intermediate materials called prepreg and the forming of products from intermediate materials. The divided process requires additional facilities and thermoforming, and they increase the cycle time and cost of composite products. These problems can be resolved by combining the continuous fiber-reinforced composite molding process with injection molding. However, when a composite material is manufactured by inserting woven fabric into the injection mold, poor impregnation occurs on the surface of the molded product. It affects the properties of the composites. In this paper, through an impregnation experiment using cores with different heat transfer rates and pore densities, the reason for the poor impregnation was confirmed, and molding experiments were conducted to produce composite with improved surface impregnation by inserting the mesh. And also, the surface impregnation and deformation of composites molded using different types of mesh were compared with each other.

용탕유동과 응고를 고려한 주조공정의 유한요소해석 (Finite element analysis of casting processes considering molten-metal flow and solidification)

  • Finite element analysis tool was developed to analyze the casting process. Generally, casting process consists of mold filling and solidification. Both filling and solidication process were simulated simultaneously to investigate the effects of process variables and to predict the defect. At filling process, thermal coupling was especially considered to investigate thermal history of material during the filling stage. And thermal condition at the final stage of filling is used as the initial conditions in a solidification process for the exact simullation of the actual casting processes. At mold filling process, Lagragian-type finite element method with automatic remeshing scheme was used to find the material flow. A perturbation method with artificial viscosity is adopted to avoid numerical instability in low viscous fluid. At solidification process, enthalpy-based finite element method was used to solove the heat transfer problem with phase change. And elastic stress analysis has been performed to predict the thermal residual stress. Through the FE analysis, solidification time, position of solidus line, liquidus line and thermal residual stress are found. Through the study, the importance of combined analysis has been emphasized. Finite element tools developed in this study will be used process design of casting process and may be basic structure for total CAE system of castings which will be constructed afterward.

  • 사출금형은 일반적으로 다수개의 부품을 조립하여 제작되며, 특히 성형부(Core/Cavity)가 금형 형판 내부에 조립되는 구조를 갖는다. 이러한 구조로 인해 금형 조립부 경계면에서는 열접촉 저항이 발생하여 금형 내부의 열전달 특성에 영향을 미치게 된다. 최근 금형의 열접촉 저항이 성형부의 온도분포에 미치는 영향을 수치적으로 예측하기 위한 선행연구가 수행되었으며, 본 연구에서는 이에 기반하여 열-유동 연계해석을 적용함으로써 금형 내부의 열접촉 저항이 사출성형시 유동특성에 미치는 영향을 분석 하였다. 상기 해석결과와 실험결과와의 비교분석을 통해 금형의 열접촉 저항을 고려한 열-유동 연계해석이 기존의 해석방법과 비교할 때 사출성형 유동특성을 보다 향상된 신뢰성으로 예측할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

가압장치를 이용한 오토클레이브 대체 복합재료 성형공정 개발 및 분석 (Development and Analysis of the Autoclave Alternative Composite Material Molding Process Using a Pressure Device)

  • 고품질의 복합재료를 생산할 수 있는 Autoclave 공정의 단점인 긴 성형공정과 높은 생산비용을 보완하여 본 연구에서는 Autoclave 공정을 대체할 수 있는 Pressure press 공정과 장치를 개발하였다. Autoclave 공정의 가장 큰 특징이라고 할 수 있는 진공, 가압 공정을 금형 내부에 공간 설계를 통해 가능하게 하였고, 금형 내부 공기압이 소실되지 않도록 유압 press를 이용하여 가압장치를 설계하고 금형을 밀폐하였다. 가압장치에서는 가열과 냉각이 가능하게 하여 금형에 직접 온도를 전달할 수 있게 하였다. Autoclave 공정에 비해 내부 공간이 축소되어 가열 시간과 공기압 충전시간이 단축되었고 설비규모가 축소되어 초기설치비가 절감되었다. 가열방식에 따른 공정의 분석을 위해 V 자 형태의 금형을 제작하여 spring-back 현상 발생여부와 정도를 측정하고 Autoclave 공정과 비교하였으며, 복합재료 성형 시 금형의 온도를 측정하여 소재에 전달되는 각 부분의 온도를 관찰하였다. 그리고 같은 조건에서 Autoclave 공정과 Pressure press 공정으로 성형된 복합재료의 섬유 체적율을 비교하여 기계적 특성을 예측하였다.

VARTM 공정에서의 금형 충전 및 기공 형성에 관한 3차원 수치해석 (Three-Dimensional Numerical Simulation of Mold-Filing and Void Formation During Vacuum-Assisted Resin Transfer Molding)

  • 최근 대형 복합재료 구조물 성형에 적합한 공정으로 주목받는 vacuum assisted RTM (VARTM) 공정에 있어, 보강섬유의 조직 내부에 잔류하는 공기를 제거하여 기공함유율을 낮추는 기술의 중요성이 인식되고 있다. 거대기공 혹은 불완전 함침영역은 부적절한 주입구 및 공기배출구의 위치, 혹은 금형의 형상에 의해 발생한다. 미세기공은 불균일한 수지 유동선단의 속도로 인해 유동선단 부분에서 집중적으로 형성되며, 금형충전 공정 도중 수지와 함께 이동한다. 성형이 완료된 제품내의 잔류 기공들은 완성품의 물리적 성질을 저하 및 제품의 파손을 초래할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 VARTM 공정에서의 기공의 형성 및 이동을 해석할 수 있는 통합된 거시적/미시적 해석 방법을 개발하였다. 수치해석 프로그램을 개발하여 VARTM 공정에서의 3차원 수지 유동을 해석하였으며, 그에 따른 거대기공 및 미세기공의 분포를 예측하였다.

대형주강품에 대한 CAE 시스템 개발 연구 (Development of a Simultaneous CAE System for the Application to Large Steel Castings)

  • An integrated computer program consisting of a pre-processor, main solver, and post-processor was developed for the design of large steel castings. The pre-processor, based on the AutoCAD, enables the user to produce approval drawings, casting design drawings and mesh diagrams in sequence using a personal computer. In the main solver, two numerical models were employed; one models the fluid flow during mold filling, and the other models the heat transfer and solidification. The post-processor can be used to present simulation results such as flow pattern, mold filling sequences, solidification times, temperature gradients and location of shrinkage defects by color graphics. In order to validate the applicability of the present integrated program, a series of experiments on simple-shaped steel castings were carried out. After the validation of the present model, it was applied to the casting design of the large steel anchor of an SC42 alloy. Various solidification parameters such as a temperature distribution and a solidification time in the casting and the mold were compared with those obtained experimentally. Simulated results predicting shrinkage defects were in good agreement with those obtained experimentally. It was found that the present method can be successfully applied to the quantitative casting design for complex-shaped large steel castings.

양면 마이크로 패턴 차량용 후육 라이트 가이드의 사출성형 패턴 전사성에 관한 연구 (Study of injection molded pattern transferability of double-sided micro-patterned automotive thick light guides)

  • In this study, we investigated the injection molding technology of thick-walled light guides, which are parts that control the light source of automotive lamps. Through injection molding analysis, the gate position that can minimize product shrinkage and deformation was selected, and a mold reflecting the analysis results was manufactured to evaluate the effect of injection speed and holding pressure on transferability during micro-pattern molding through experiments. When designing an injection mold for products with varying thicknesses, it was found that installing the gate on the side of the thicker part was advantageous for reducing volume shrinkage and deformation. It was found that the effect of shrinkage due to thickness may be greater than the position of the gate on pattern transferability. The pattern transfer error decreased as the injection speed and holding pressure increased, and it was found that increasing the injection speed was relatively effective.
