이원 배치법을 이용한 브레이크 디스크의 온도에 관한 연구 (A Study Temperature of Break Disc using Two-way Layout)

  • Due to economic growth, the number of cars has grown rapidly and consequently traffic accidents have grown in direct ratio. This reminds us that braking device of a vehicle is an important factor to prevent traffic accidents. Aim these researches to speed and lighten the braking system of vehicles, to lengthen its durability and to shorten the stopping distance. However, it is still difficult to analyze quantitatively and clearly the reason and solution for abnormal wear of disc and pad or judder in flywheel mode. Therefore this study was carried out to presume for mutual relation of analysis condition to get the optimum temperature by two-way layout. The results shown that coefficient of determination has a fine reliability over 92.57% and temperature is made by two-way layout.

소방차량의 안전벨트 설계 및 정책제안 (Design and Policy of Seat Belt for fire Engines)

  • According to the National Fire Agency, there were 61 traffic accidents of Fire engines in 2021. That is an increase of about 80% compared to the previous year. And the number of injuries and deaths increased by more than 300%. According to the survey of this study, less than 25% of firefighters wore seat belts of Fire engines during dispatch, contrary to the rapid increase in injuries and deaths. About the reasons for why firefighters do not wear seat belts, It can be found in aspects that are related to personal consciousness, organizational culture, and firefighting dispatch. The number of dispatches will increase in the future, this is considered to be a serious problem for the stability of the firefighting organization. In this study, a seat belt should be designed newly and proposed to improve the seat belt wearing policy.

A Study on Fatigue Crack Propagation of Rail Steel under Constant and Mixed Mode Variable Amplitude Loadings

  • Recently, axle load, operating speed and traffic density on railroads have had a tendency to increase and thereby cause additional pressure applied on used track. These operating conditions frequently result in service failure due to wear caused by wheel-rail contact and fatigue damage under cyclic loading. Among rail defects, the transverse crack, which has been the most dangerous type of fatigue damages, is developed from the subsurface crack near the rail running face and grows perpendicular to the rail surface. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate systematically the growth behavior of transverse crack for rail steel under mixed mode. In this study, the fatigue crack growth behavior of the transverse crack in rail steel was experimentally investigated under mixed-mode variable amplitude loadings.

노약자의 안전을 위한 스마트 시스템 구현 - 에너지 하베스트를 중심으로 - (Implementing the Smart System for the Safety of the Elderly and the Weak - Focus on Energy Harvest -)

  • Recently, as the proportion of the elderly population in Korea has increased rapidly, it has entered an aging society. As the scope of social activities of the elderly increases, the risk of safety accidents is also increasing. The traffic accident rate of elderly pedestrians is higher than ordinary people. Although various smart devices for the elderly are researched and developed, electronic components are often used. Electronic devices may not be able to be used if charging is not regularly. In this paper, a smart hat, a smart system for the elderly and the weak, was implemented using solar panels. The system uses solar energy to provide reliable use of smart devices. It is believed to be helpful not only for the elderly but also for the weak people by easy to wear the hat.

답압조건의 크리핑 벤트그라스 훼어웨이에서 여러 가지 잔디관리방법이 엽조직 및 토양 질소함유량에 미치는 상호작용효과 (Traffic and Cultural Practice Interactions on the Leaf and Soil Nitrogen Contents of 'Pennccross' Creeping Bentgrass (Agrostis palustris Huds.) Fairway Turf)

  • Wear simulator로 답압이 가해진 크리핑 벤트그라스 (Agrostis palustris Huds.) 훼어웨이에서 관수방법·예지물 순환 및 질소시비수준의 여러 가지 잔디관리 요인이 엽조직 및 토양질소 함유량에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 본 연구를 수행하였다. 연구포장은 'Penncross'크리핑 벤트그라스 반디밭으로 1988년에 sharpsburg silty-clay loam (Typic Argiudoll) 토양에 조성하였으며, 실험은 1989년부터 1991년까지 3년간 수행하였다. Split-split-plot 실험디자인을 사용하여 주구에 daily or biweekly irrigation, 세구에 clipping return or removal, 세세구에 low-N (5g), moderate-N (15g), high-N (25g N m-2 yr-1)처리를 난괴법 3 반복으로 배치하였다. 생육기간중 잔디예초는 12mm 예고로 일주일에 4번 실시하였고, 기타 잔디관리는 high maintenance 수준으로 유지되는 한지형 양잔디 훼어웨이 기준으로 실시하였다. 엽조직 및 토양샘플은 1989년 2회, 1990년과 1991년에는 3회씩 채취하여, 네브라스카 주립대 토양식물분석실에서 분석하였다. 답압이 가해진 크리핑 벤트그라스 훼어웨이 잔디에서 엽조직 질소함유량은 여러 가지 잔디관리 방법간 상호작용 효과가 관찰되었다. 1989년 나타난 질소시비수준과 관수방법간의 상호작용에서 daily irrigation 지역의 엽질소 함유량은 질소시비량이 low-N 수준에서 high-N 수준으로 증가함에 따라 3.51%에서 3.94%로 quadratic pattern으로 증가하였다. High-N 처리지역에서 엽질소 함유량은 daily irrigation 관수방법이 biweekly irrigation 관수방법보다 약 4% 정도 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 엽질소 함유량은 특히 질소시비 수준에 따라 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 1990년 질소시비량이 low-N 수준에서 high-N 수준으로 증가함에 따라 3.50%에서 4.25%로 quadratic pattern으로 증가하였고, 1991년에는 4.20%에서 4.60%까지 linear pattern으로 증가하였다. High-N 처리구의 엽조직 질소함유량은 low-N 처리구와 비교시 1990년에는 21%, 1991년에는 10% 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 잔디조성후 시간이 경과함에 따라 엽조직의 질소함유량도 증가하였다. Low-N 수준에서 1991년 엽질소 함유량은 1990년에 비해 20% 증가하였으며, high-N 수준에서는 1991년의 엽조직 질소함유량이 1990년 보다 8% 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 잔디조성후 경과기간에 따라 연간 시비량을 조절할 필요가 있으며, 특히 새로 조성된 잔디밭과 조성된 지 어느 정도 지난 기존 잔디밭간에 차별화된 관리프로그램이 필요한 것으로 판단되었다. 잔디관리에서 답압이 가중되는 정도에 따라 지역별로 장기간 차별화된 관리 접근을 해야하고, 정기적으로 토양 및 엽분석을 실시해서 시비프로그램에 활용하는 것이 필요하다 하겠다. 본 연구결과 나타난 잔디관리 요인간 상호작용효과는 잔디관리시 여러 가지 관리방법에 따른 효과를 입체적으로 분석해서 해당 골프장 현실에 적합한 통합적인 잔디관리(integrated turfgrass management)의 필요성을 제시한다고 할 수 있겠으며, 또한 답압가중 정도에 따른 잔디관리요인간의 반응효과차이는 향후 무답압 지역에서 실시된 연구결과를 답압을 받고 있는 경기장 및 골프장 등의 잔디밭에 적용할 경우에는 주의깊게 데이터 활용을 해야 되리라고 사료되었다.

Effect of Functionalized BR Content on the Wear Particulate Matters and Physical Properties in TBR Tire Tread Compounds

  • As air pollution continues to increase owing to increasing traffic centered in urban areas, the tire industry is researching methods to reduce particulate matter. In this study, functionalized lithium butadiene rubber (F-LiBR) was applied to a natural rubber (NR)/butadiene rubber (BR) blend compound often used in truck bus radial (TBR) tire treads. The effect of the functional group that can react with carbon black (CB) in BR was investigated in terms of the dispersion of CB and the compound performance, including the generation of particulate matter. Compounds that were substituted with F-LiBR exhibited enhanced interaction with CB, resulting in excellent filler dispersion. Although F-LiBR exhibited lower crosslinking density and inferior abrasion resistance due to its high vinyl content, the compound with 30 phr of F-LiBR was advantageous in terms of its rolling resistance due to the excellent filler dispersion, which was also effective in reducing the amount of generated particulate matter (up to 56% reduction for PM2.5, and 67% reduction for PM10). The results confirmed the benefits of the introduction of functional groups into TBR tire tread compounds, which can aid in improving the fuel efficiency and reducing particulate matter generation.

차선재료의 내구성 향상을 위한 내마모성 시험 적용 연구 (Abrasion-Resistant Road Markings for Improved Durability Lane to Wear Simulators Test)

  • 도로표지용 도료의 품질기준은 KS M 6080의 품질기준을 만족하는 제품들의 경우에도 시공 후 일정기간이 경과한 후에는 도료 자체의 부착력 문제로 교통량 증가에 따른 자동차 차륜에 의한 도료 자체의 마모 손실에 의하여 재귀반사 기능을 부여하는 유리알의 마모 및 탈리로 시인성이 급격히 저하되고 있다. 이에 따른 야간 교통 사고율 증가와 동시에 추가 교통 안전을 위한 부가 보완시공으로 안전시설 제비용이 직접비용으로 유발되고 있으며, 직접비용보다 추가공사로 인한 교통체증으로 사회간접 비용이 증가되고 있다. 특히, 차선의 품질 규격이 KS M 6080 제품에 만족한다 하더라도 빗물의 수막(水膜)에 의한 유리알의 굴절율 차로 재귀반사기능을 하는 차선 도료용 유리알의 기능을 발휘하지 못하여 운전자의 시인성은 열악함을 알 수 있다. 따라서, 국외에서 많이 사용되고 있는 마모성이 우수한 수용성 차선도료, 고성능 융착식 도료, 상온경화형 도료를 도입하여 성능을 비교 검토하였다. 본 연구에서는 차선재료의 내구성 향상을 위해 EN 1436규격에 의한 내마모성 시험을 수용성, 융착식, 상온경화형 도료에 실시하여, 재귀반사도 성능이 우수한 차선재료의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.

F.R.P 재료 보강에 의한 신개념 중량충격음 저감대책 (Heavy-weight Impact Noise Reduction of Concrete Slab Reinforcement Using F.R.P)

  • Low frequency heavy-weight impact noise is the most irritating noise in Korean high-rise reinforced concrete apartment buildings. This low frequency noise is generated by foot traffic due to the fact that Koreans do not wear shoes at home. The transmission of the noise is facilitated by a load bearing wall structural system without beams and columns which is used in these buildings. In order to control low frequency heavy-weight impact noise, floating floors using isolation materials such as glass-wool mat and poly-urethane mat are used. However, it was difficult to control low frequency heavy-weight impact sound using isolation material. In this study, reinforcement of concrete slab using beams and plate was conducted. Using the FEM analysis, the effect of concrete slab reinforcement using FRP(fiber-glass reinforced plastic) on the bang machine impact vibration acceleration level and sound were conducted at the standard floor impact sound test building. The $3{\sim}4dB$ floor impact vibration acceleration level and impact sound pressure level were reduced and the natural frequency of slabs were changed.

비휘발성 메모리 기반 캐시의 쓰기 작업 최적화를 위한 캐시 시뮬레이터 설계 (Cache Simulator Design for Optimizing Write Operations of Nonvolatile Memory Based Caches)

  • Nonvolatile memory (NVM) is being considered as an alternative of traditional memory devices such as SRAM and DRAM, which suffer from various limitations due to the technology scaling of modern integrated circuits. Although NVMs have advantages including nonvolatility, low leakage current, and high density, their inferior write performance in terms of energy and endurance becomes a major challenge to the successful design of NVM-based memory systems. In order to overcome the aforementioned drawback of the NVM, extensive research is required to develop energy- and endurance-aware optimization techniques for NVM-based memory systems. However, researchers have experienced difficulty in finding a suitable simulation tool to prototype and evaluate new NVM optimization schemes because existing simulation tools do not consider the feature of NVM devices. In this article, we introduce a NVM-based cache simulator to support rapid prototyping and evaluation of NVM-based caches, as well as energy- and endurance-aware NVM cache optimization schemes. We demonstrate that the proposed NVM cache simulator can easily prototype PRAM cache and PRAM+STT-RAM hybrid cache as well as evaluate various write traffic reduction schemes and wear leveling schemes.

일개대학 대학생들이 인지하는 전동킥보드 이용 환경과 안전 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on university students perception of electric kickboard usage environment and safety improvement)

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine how college students perceive the usage environment of electric kickboards, recognize safety issues, and seek ways to improve them. Methods: A descriptive survey was conducted on 180 college students from November 1 to November 8, 2023, to analyze the environment and risks associated with using electric kickboards. Results: College students perceived electric kickboards as extremely dangerous. However, they did not receive safety education and 76.4% of the subjects did not wear safety helmets when driving electric kickboards. Women suggested lowering the speed of electric kickboards, including in certain sections, and emphasized that the more accidents they experienced, the more necessary it was to improve regulations. Conclusion: This study comprehensively illustrates the perception of risk and speed improvement among electric kickboard users, and emphasizes the need to prepare detailed guidelines for implementing and operating safety education.
