  • Micro-machining, one of the non-traditional machining techniques, can achieve a wanted shape of the surface using metal dissolution with electrochemical reaction and can be applied to the metal such as high tension, heat resistance and hardened steel. The workpiece dissolves when it is positioned close to the tool electrode in electrolyte and the current is applied. Traditional machining has been used in the industries such as cutting, deburring, drilling and shaping. The aim of this work is to develop Micro-machining techniques for micro shape by establishing appropriate machining parameters of micro-machining

  • Milk pasteurization is used to destroy harmful bacteria present in the raw milk for improvement of the keeping quality of dairy products. It is generally carried out in dairy industries as the heating process of raw milk in properly designed and operated equipment to a specific temperature for a specified a specified period. However, thermal processing may cause quality changes in milk as well as significant nutritional losses. Hence, many researchers have started work to design alternative strategies to produce safer foods with minimal thermal treatments for pasteurization. Therefore, the present paper shows the current status of commercial pasteurization system of dairy products in korean industry and the research efforts carried out by researchers on novel milk pasteurization system that could be an alternative to traditional thermal processes for maintaining the freshness of dairy products.

  • The operation of the traditional pull Kanban system in Domestic is limited because the production circumstance of the Domestic industries have the characteristics of dynamic production circumstance such as high variability of demand, frequent machine breakdown or defect, high absence or separation rates of the employees. The purpose of this study is to find the optimal Kanban system for the production circumstance of the Domestic industry. By using the computer simulation, selected models are tested for the susceptibility to the production factors and with the analysis of the data from the simulations.

  • This study surveyed features of weddings in the main family by selecting 10 families in which the grandnephew and grandnephew's wife dwell in the head house, have a shrine, and hold a memorial service for Bulcheonwi (不遷位). A case survey through in-depth interview was carried out from April 9, to October 8, 2011. It surveyed the contents and the wedding artifacts in Uihon (議婚), Napchae (納采), Nappye (納幣), Daerye (大禮), Hyeongugorye (見舅姑禮), which are the procedures of traditional wedding that have been kept in the wedding ceremony of the main family. As a result, in deciding on marriage, the marriage was formed on the basis of similar Gagyeok (家格) and on ancestor's common scholastic mantle or origin. As for wedding furnishings, wedding presents, and wedding gifts, 9 out of 10 families were indicated to give and take weakly. Also, 6 out of 10 families held a traditional wedding ceremony in the yard of the bride's house. Hyeongugorye (見舅姑禮) was indicated to be held by all of the 10 families. A continuous effort in academic circles and industries is demanded for preserving the living culture of the main family, which proceeds with following the traditional elements even amid a rapidly-changing historical flow as today.

  • The purpose of this paper is to compare and analyze the national brand strategies between Korea and Italy and the ragional brand strategies between Jinju in Korea and Como in Italy. The study is conducted via periodicals and publication of related institutions, reports of various newspapers and academic journals, and interviews of Jinju Silk Research Institution and Tessile di Como. This study then examines the implication of the success of Italian national and regional brands to the Korean textile products and the adoptability of Italian brand strategies for Korean textile brand. Our findings suggest that the Italian brands have been successfully developed in terms of product quality and brand marketing based on their traditional products. The findings also indicate that the Korean traditional textile products have the potential to be the world wide products but lack the consist and brand strategies supported by the central government as well as the regional government. This paper further suggests that it is necessary to study the development of brand strategy based on the traditional textile products and its implimentation.

  • The objective of this study is to suggest development methods of marine tour complexes by specializing and modernizing the renowned Jagalchi Fish Market. This study tries to suggest the ways of overcoming limitations of the traditional market place and making a unique tourism destination with affluent attractive culture elements. To preserve its position as the most famous fish market in Korea, Jagalchi market needs to more differentiate its position over competitors. To do that, it needs to avoid over-lapping of product categories among different sectors and specializing each zone according to the assigned theme. Improving tourism environments by expanding entertaining aspects, building landmark facilities and a seaside park, and tourism infrastructures. In addition, the development scheme needs to be planned unified with other city development plans to create a unified image, and a connection program with other tourism resources surrounding the target area needs to be created in order to pursue synergy effects. In the aspect of food, a large seafood center which offers various seafood from all around the world, a traditional night market street, various theme restaurants can be suggested. Successful development of the Jagalchi marine tour complexes not only has ripple effects on the region's culture, society, and other related industries but directly influences related regional tourism and commercial industry.
