Fashion style and user response to interactive online dressing games - Analysis of Korean traditional attire - (온라인 스타일링 게임 컨텐츠의 패션과 사용자 반응 - 한국전통복식 분석 -)

  • This study analyzed the expression of hanbok in online fashion styling games, and examined the main themes of and user reactions to hanbok fashion styling games through semantic network analysis and sentiment analysis. KrKwic, Textom, and NodeXL were used for data collection and analysis. The findings of the study are as follows: First, depending on the designer's expressive method, hanbok fashion styling games provide typical traditional hanbok, modern hanbok, and dress-like fusion hanbok, demonstrating contents with various themes for different sexes, classes, and situations. Second, as a result of analyzing the themes of hanbok-related styling game contents, it turned out that the main themes are tradition, color, historical drama, fusion hanbok, holiday, and love. Most of them produce modernized hanbok that reflect the situation and utility rather than strictly traditional ones. Third, as a result of analyzing user reviews of hanbok styling game contents, positive factors mostly turned out to be the satisfaction of the hanbok contents, with the users also showing positive intent to wear hanbok. Through this, it was found out that hanboks portrayed in game contents could potentially cause the user's positive intent to wear hanbok. Negative factors turned out to be the discordance between the intrinsic image of hanbok and the game character's image.

A Study on the Expression Types of Korean Beauty in Korean Fashion (한국 패션에 나타난 한국미의 표현유형에 관한 연구)

  • Korean fashion designs became important items in Korea in the middle of the 1980s, and it has advanced into the world market in the early part of the 1990s. To achieve success in global fashion world, it is necessary to analyze Korean fashion design thoroughly and prepare strategies to develop designs with mainstream acceptance in the global fashion world. The purpose of this study is to analyze the aesthetic characteristics and Korean beauties of Korean fashion designs. Fashion photos of Korean fashion designs from 2006 S/S to 2012 F/W were analyzed. 357 designs from 608 designs of 4 representative Korean designers were examined and design characteristics, expression styles were studied. The major conclusions of the study are as follows : 1. H Line, slim, fitted silhouette and loose look were applied. 2. 5 major traditional colors, red, blue, yellow, white and black colors were used. Brown color, neutral color, golden color and beige color of the textile material's original color were used. Traditional textile materials like ramie fabric, satin and cotton, wool and metallic fabric were used. 3. Patterns of flower, traditional pattern and Korean letters were applied. Embroidery, patchwork and mother-of-pearl were decorated. 4. The three types of beauty were natural beauty, moderate beauty and decorative beauty. The types that were analyzed were realistic expression type, moderate expression type, image expression type and mixed expression type. To be accepted in global fashion world, Korean traditional design elements should be modified, broken down and reorganized so that Korean fashion design can be recreated.

  • We introduces a development result of semi-automatic karyotyping system using image processing method to improve a long time working of the manual method and 5% error of traditional automatic karyotying system for analyzing karyotying. The karyotyping procedures have many routine tasks such as searching metaphases, taking pictures, developing, editing, etc. There are several automatic karyotyping systems in order to reduce the task in advanced countries. However, they are very expensive, applicable to only human chromosome, and have too many functions to use easily. This paper takes aim at high quality image resolution and development of interface that can adjust brightness and contrast of image on-line. The system can be applied to animal and plants as well as human's chromosome. The system developed in this paper is applied to pig and human. The effectiveness of the system is proved by hospitals in Korea.

Accelerated Split Bregman Method for Image Compressive Sensing Recovery under Sparse Representation

  • Compared with traditional patch-based sparse representation, recent studies have concluded that group-based sparse representation (GSR) can simultaneously enforce the intrinsic local sparsity and nonlocal self-similarity of images within a unified framework. This article investigates an accelerated split Bregman method (SBM) that is based on GSR which exploits image compressive sensing (CS). The computational efficiency of accelerated SBM for the measurement matrix of a partial Fourier matrix can be further improved by the introduction of a fast Fourier transform (FFT) to derive the enhanced algorithm. In addition, we provide convergence analysis for the proposed method. Experimental results demonstrate that accelerated SBM is potentially faster than some existing image CS reconstruction methods.

A Study on the Implementation of Format Converter using Median Filter (메디안 필터를 이용한 포맷 변환기 구현에 관한 연구)

  • The area of the prototype device is less than 80mm$^2$. Operating with a 60ns clock cycle, the device typically dissipates only 300mW. The full functionality was proven by using the methodical test programs based on typical image processing operations. Also, we realized the whole process from conventional gray image to color image. Format converters, implemented using multidimensional access memories, transfer the data between the processing element array and conventional bit-parallel components in real time. The completed system is fully functional and performs typical low-level image processing tasks at speed exceeding 30 frames of traditional TV system per second.

  • The amount of data stored, processed and transmitted in the multi-media systems has been growing very fast, especially for the image data. For example, it takes 0.75Mbytes to store 512 12 pixels of 24-bit color image. A video signal with 30 frames per second will require 22.5Mbytes of storage space. To solve this problem, we need a good image compression technique. Recently, many researches on the image compression technique based on the wavelet transform are being pursued to overcome the problems of traditional JPEG. This paper describes the architecture and design of two-dimensional wavelet transform circuit. To keep the sire of the circuit small, we tried to minimize the internal storage space by using external SDRAM. This circuit was designed in Verilog-HDL, synthesized using Design Compiler and verified using Verilog-XL.

  • Purpose: This study intends to offer strategic implications that can be used in Korean medicine hospitals through analysis of causal relationship among factors focusing on image improvement and trust building. Methods: Differential model was introduced to test causal relationship. Questionnaire was developed, and data was collected and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling. Results: Medical service has effects on image, trust, and CS. CS has an effect on trustworthiness, and trustworthiness has positive effect on loyalty intention and has negative effect on switching intention. Emotional attachment has moderating functions between trust and loyalty intention and between trust and switching intention. Conclusion: This study offers practical implications to relevant managers, at the same time it has limitations that omits relevant study of inducing factor for emotional attachment.

  • In this paper, an algorithm is presented to recognize lane and obstacles based on highway road image. The road images obtained by a video camera undergoes a pre-processing that includes filtering, edge detection, and identification of lanes. After this pre-processing, a part of image is grouped into 27 sub-windows and fed into a three-layer feed-forward neural network. The neural network is trained to indicate the road direction and the presence of absence of an obstacle. The proposed algorithm has been tested with the images different from the training images, and demonstrated its efficacy for recognizing lane and obstacles. Based on the test results, it can be said that the algorithm successfully combines the traditional image processing and the neural network principles towards a simpler and more efficient driver warning of assistance system

  • Digital display products are gradually becoming diversified and pursuing high-quality image display. Digital TV supports various video signal formats from conventional SD to digital HD because the format conversion of video image is required. Traditional format conversion of the video image is achieved by a 1-dimensional linear interpolator applying both horizontal and vertical direction. Jagging artifact can be expressed as the linkage of line segments in several directions. In this paper, we present the method that removes jagging artifact effectively using PCA (Principle Component Analysis) and reserve the detail in a given image.

  • This paper examines internet shopping mall e-loyalty behaviors. Conceptually, the paper relied on the relatively established literature on ' traditional ' store image and technology acceptance research. And proposes an integrated model including factors on customer e-loyalty in shopping environment. For this purpose, internet shopping mall user's image is proposed to affect trust, and commitment, and consequently to influence customer loyalty behaviors. The empirical results indicated that shopping mal image take significant effect on trust and customer loyalty behaviors. And commitment variable are effective mediators linking internet shopping mall user's trust and their loyalty behaviors. The proposed model and empirical results would contribute to setting up strategy shopping mall industry, and also to future research in information systems and internet marketing.
