Magic Formula를 이용한 아스팔트 노면에서의 농업용 트랙터의 견인력 추정 (Drawbar Pull Estimation in Agricultural Tractor Tires on Asphalt Road Surface using Magic Formula)

  • Agricultural tractors drive and operate both off-road and on-road. Tire-road interaction significantly affects the tractive performance of a tractor, which is difficult to predict numerically. Many empirical models have been developed to predict the tractive performance of tractors using the cone index, which can be measured through simple tests. However, a magic formula model that can determine the tractive performance without a cone index can be used instead of traditional empirical models as the cone index cannot be measured on asphalt roads. The aim of this study was to predict the tractive performance of a tractor using the magic formula tire model. The traction force of the tires on an asphalt road was measured using an agricultural tractor. The dynamic wheel load was calculated to derive the coefficients of the traction-slip curve using the measured static wheel load and drawbar pull of the tractor. Curve fitting was performed to fit the experimental data using the magic formula. The parameters of the magic formula tire model were well identified, and the model successfully determined the coefficient of traction of the tractor.

농업용 트랙터 기반 소형 타워야더의 견인 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (Traction Performance Improvement Study on a Small-scale Tower Yarder Attached to a Farm Tractor)

  • 국내 임목수확작업에 사용되고 있는 트랙터 기반 소형 타워야더는 소경재 생산을 목적으로 개발되었으며, 중대경재 수확 체제로 변화함에 따라 견인 성능의 개선이 필요하다. 이 연구는 동력 전달방식을 기존의 기계식에서 기계 유압식으로 개선하여 타워야더의 최대 견인력을 비교·분석하였으며, 트랙터 엔진속도, 유압식 동력 전달 기구의 압력을 변수로 두고 견인 성능 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 수준은 트랙터 엔진속도(1,200, 1,400, 1,600, 1,800, 2,000, 2,200 rpm) 6수준, 동력 전달 기구의 압력(4.9, 6.9, 8.8 MPa) 3수준으로 선정하였다. 기존의 경우 최대 견인력은 엔진 회전속도 757 rpm에서 15,146.6 N의 최대견인력을 발휘하였으나 개선된 타워야더는 엔진 회전속도 1,575 rpm에서 36,140 N의 최대 견인력이 나타나, 최대 견인력이 2.4배 증가되었다. 이에 따라 중대경재 위주의 목재수확 현장에서 작업이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 기존 장비를 재활용하여 성능 개선함으로써 견인력이 큰 집재장비의 신규 도입 및 운영에 필요한 비용을 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Economic Growth and Animal Traction Development in Africa : An Empirical Analysis

  • Since the introduction of animal traction technologies(ATT) in many Sub Saharan Africa (SSA) countries, attempts to propagate its widespread use in the continent have suffered several setbacks. Many factors are responsible of this. However, developments in the African economies are believed to be a prominent factor. This study provides empirical evidence of the impact of economic growth on the performance of ATT-in Sub-Saharan Africa(SSa). The analysis uses 1971-1990 time-series data on ATT from botswana. The performance of ATT is measured on the basis of changes year covered under this study. The models used, are a regression model and a trend projection model. Although the regression model is representing a simplified view of the relationship between ATT and economic growth , it takes account of the influence of annual amounts of rainfall. It is concluded that economic growth has had a negative impact on the performance of ATT in Botwana. As the country's Gross Domestic Pro uct (GDP) steadily increased over the period of the analysis, the number of households using ATT declined at a rate of 2.5% per year. The impact of the GDP on ATT was directly associated with increases in the use of tractor, food imports and beef exports. The results have serious policy implications for agricultural development in many African countries that are not capable of sustaining their economic growth.

위 등세모근에 적용한 근육 에너지 기법이 목 신경뿌리병증 환자의 통증, 관절가동범위 및 근수행력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Muscle Energy Techniques Applied to Upper trapezius on Pain, Range of Motion and Muscle Performance in Patients with Cervical Radiculopathy)

  • Background: This study examined the effects of the muscle energy technique and cervical traction after applying conservative physical therapy to patients with cervical radiculopathy. Methods: Twenty-six patients with cervical radiculopathy were randomized into two groups: the experimental group (n=13) and the control group (n=13). The two groups performed the muscle energy technique and for 4 weeks, 3 times a week, in 70-minute sessions. Pain, range of motion, function, and muscle performance were assessed using the visual analogue scale (VAS), cervical range of motion (CROM) goniometer, neck disability index (NDI), and stabilizer pressure biofeedback, before and after training. Results: After four weeks of therapy, the VAS (p<.001), NDI (p<.01), and the maximum strength of the deep neck flexion muscles significantly decreased (p<.01) and CROM significantly increased in both groups (p<.05). Conclusion: The muscle energy technique and therapeutic modalities such as cervical traction are effective in reducing VAS and NDI and increasing CROM and muscle performance in patients with cervical radiculopathy.

부분방전 측정에 의한 하이브리드차량 견인전동기의 절연성능평가 (Evaluation on Insulation Performance of Traction Motors for a Hybrid Vehicle by Partial Discharge Measurement)

  • 본 논문에서는 부분방전 측정에 의한 하이브리드 차량용 견인전동기의 절연평가에 대하여 기술하였다. 부분방전법은 효과적인 비파괴시험으로 저압용 전기전자기기의 절연성능평가에 사용되어 왔다. 부분방전 측정시스템은 결합회로망, 저잡음 증폭회로 및 주변 전자회로로 구성되며, 주변 잡음의 영향을 최소화하기 위하여 차폐함내에 설치하였다. 교정실험으로부터 부분방전 측정시스템의 주파수 대역은 $1[MHz]{\sim}30[MHz]$ (-3[dB]), 감도는 19[mV/pC]로 평가되었다. 기사용 전동기와 신품 전동기에서 방전개시전압(DIV)과 겉보기 전하량(q)을 측정한 결과, 기사용 전동기의 방전개시전압은 $1,100[V_{rms}]$, 겉보기 전하량은 105[pC], 신품 전동기에서의 방전개시전압은 $1,400[V_{rms}]$, 겉보기 전하량은 84[pC]이었다. 방전개시전압과 전하량을 비교함으로써 견인전동기의 절연상태를 평가할 수 있었다.

추진장치 성능측정 시스템에 관한 연구 (A study on performance measurement system of traction equipment)

  • 한국형 고속철도차량(350km/h)은 7량 1편성으로 구성되어 있으며, 현재 오송기지에서 본선시운전 시험운행중에 있다. 이 차량에 취부된 여러 장치들의 성능을 확인하기 위해서 다양한 신호를 측정하기 위한 측정시스템이 구축되었다. 이 논문에서는 한국형 고속철도차량의 추진장치 성능측정 시스템에 대하여 서술하였다. 추진장치의 성능측정은 Motor Block의 성능확인에 초점을 맞추고 측정할 위치를 정하였다. 본선시운전 시험을 위해, 철도연에서 자체적으로 상시계측시스템을 개발하였으며, 이 시스템을 통해 추진시스템의 각종 전기신호를 입력받아 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 통해서 개발된 추진시스템의 성능을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Recently linear motor has been used mainly for high speed feeding performance of machine tools. The advantages of linear motor are not only high speed but high accuracy, because it is not required the coupling and ballscrew for converting rotary to liner motion. Before applying in different moving system, the dynamometer is necessary to test the performance. In Korea, the linear motor is producing in a couple of company However, the liner motor dynamometer is not commercialized yet, like as rotary motor dynamometer. In this paper, a linear motor dynamometer is designed and manufactured using a MR damper. The dynamometer system developed in this study could be used for testing the positioning accuracy fur different loading conditions, traction forces, dynamic performance and so on.

250 km/h급 전철설비의 비전기반 검측 기술 구현 (An Implement of Vision based Measurement Technology for Traction Power System up to 250 km/h)

  • The traction power system is configured to transmit electricity to the vehicles through mechanical contact between the OCL (Overhead Contact Line) and the pantograph. The system measures the current collection performance of the OCL, or the OCL installation condition is examined through maintenance for commercial operation. Maintenance continues to check the conditions through visual inspection by walking and inspection vehicles. The current collection performance is divided into the percentage of arcing(%), the contact force, and the uplift. The percentage of arcing is composed of a vision based system and used to verify the performance of a new OCL. However, it is not always possible to measure the current collection performance during commercial operation, and maintenance based on human resources can not be replaced. This paper presents the minimum performance condition of video devices in the current collection system of commercial vehicles. In addition, a continuous arcing was measured, and current collection performance was examined on the traction power system at the 250 km/h. It was analyzed with a minimum duration of arc of 1 ms. The frame rate is then shown by comparing the number of frames in the image at the time intervals of the number of the arcing. It is expected that the result of this study can be used for examining the minimum performance of video devices depending on their purpose.

재활 및 교정을 위한 견인운동치료기의 견인측정센서 개발에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Research for Traction force Sensor Development on Drawing Exercise Medical Instrument)

  • 척추 및 보행질환 등에서 재활과 교정을 위하여 정형외과 및 가정 등에서는 견인운동치료기를 주로 사용하고 있다. 하지만 견인운동치료기를 사용함에 있어 간혹 무리하게 사용함에 따라 인체에 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 지속적인 견인력 작용을 이용한 치료방법에 견인운동치료기를 이용하는데, 이 때 작용하는 견인력을 측정하여 운동 시간을 조절할 필요가 있다. 그러나 현재 출시되고 있는 제품에는 견인력을 측정하는 센서가 대부분이 장착되어 있지 않고 있다. 그래서 스트레인 게이지를 이용한 견인측정센서, 출력신호로서의 변환을 위한 증폭기 및 성능 검증을 위하여 측정용 실험 장치를 설계 제작하고, 이를 이용하여 견인측정센서를 실험 하였다. 견인 부하에 따른 견인측정센서의 전기적 반응치를 측정하고 분석 결과, 캘리브레이션을 통하여 센서는 선형적인 출력을 보였고 환자의 움직임 여부에 관계없이 일정하게 견인측정센서의 반응이 나타남을 알 수가 있었다. 정적인 상태에서의 실험에서 최대 에러율이 약 1%이내이고, 동적인 실험에서 평균 에러율이 약 0.7%로 나타났다. 온도 변화에 따른 견인측정센서의 최대 출력치 변화량(output variation)이 약 0.3%이므로 견인 측정용 센서로 사용 가능하다고 판단된다.

트랙터의 견인성능 예측 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Tractive Performance Prediction Program of Tractors)

  • In this study, we developed a simulation program for the prediction of tractive performance of a tractor, by applying a widely used empirical model for tractive performance prediction of single tire, Brixius. The tractive performance prediction program can readily predict and estimate tractive performance according to various soil conditions and different specifications of tractors. The program was developed with the considerations of tractor's specification-related parameters (e.g., weight, tire size, and wheelbase of the tractor), a soil parameter (i.e., cone index which represents the soil strength), and operating conditions of the tractor (e.g., theoretical speed and driving types such as 2WD and 4WD). Also, the program was designed to provide tractive performance prediction results of tractors such as gross traction, motion resistance, net traction, and tractive efficiency, in the form of not only numerical values but also graphical visualization. To evaluate the feasibility of the program, we input three different soil conditions (which have different cone indexes each other) and tractor operating conditions to the program and analyzed the tractive performance from each input condition. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the developed program can be effectively utilized to predict the tractive performance under various soil conditions and driving types of tractors with different specifications.
