현 방법으로 검측된 궤도틀림 값의 원형복원에 대한 기초검토 (A Basic Investigation for reconstruction profile of track irregularities measured by chord method)

  • In Korea mid chord offset method has been used to measure the track irregularities. This method has been also used all over the world widely because of its accessibility and the operational excellence for measured data. But it has been pointed out recently that track irregularities reconstructed from measured data have unexpected noise in the high frequency area as the defect of this way. This study shows the cause of noise which occurs during reconstructing process and mentions the solutions briefly.

  • The riding comfort and the durability of train are effected by the rail irregularities such as track gauge, superelevation, alignment, longitudinal level, twist, cant and cross level. Inspection and estimation of irregularities are very important to maintain the rail condition. Generally, the EM120 has been utilized to measure the rail irregularities once a month in Korea. However, the EM120 can be operated at night time only, because the inspection speed of EM120 is much slower than the speed of high-speed trains. Also, the EM120 is too slow to inspect effectively for the whole commercial line. Therefore, we have mounted the track inspection system on the High-Speed Rolling Stock 350 eXperimental (HSR350X) and measured the rail irregularities to confirm the condition of a rail while running 300km/h. In this paper, the track inspection system mounted on HSR350X is mainly considered, and the measured results through test run are introduced.

도상 및 노반상태 평가를 통한 궤도유지보수작업의 적정성 연구 (Study on the Appropriateness of Track Maintenance Works through the Evaluation of Trackbed Conditions)

  • 자갈궤도는 압축성 재료인 자갈과 흙을 기초로 하여 건설되므로 공용 기간 중 승차감을 확보하고 수명연장을 위해서는 유지보수작업이 필수적이다. 현재 수행되고 있는 자갈궤도에 대한 유지보수 작업은 EM120 검측차를 이용한 궤도틀림 측정 결과로부터 결정된다. 궤도틀림은 궤도에 변형이 발생된 결과를 측정하는 것으로, 궤도틀림을 유발시키는 근본적인 원인을 평가해 볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 궤도틀림의 원인이 궤도를 지지하는 도상과 노반에 있다고 판단하고, 도상 및 노반의 싱태를 평가할 수 있는 비파괴탐사법 (GPR4과 PFWD)을 개발하고 이를 경부선 500m구간에 적용하였다. 개발 작용된 방법은 층 두께 평가법과 궤도수직강성 평가법 및 도상 노반 시추법이다. 도상 및 노반 상태평가 결과를 기 수행된 궤도틀림 검측결과 및 유지보수작업과 비교함으로서 불필요한 유지보수작업 구간을 평가하였다.

  • This paper establishes a scheme to estimate track quality using standard deviation and deterioration rate of track irregularities. To provide index of quality, standard deviation and deterioration rate of track irregularities are analyed. As an index, standard deviation and deterioration rate were applied to decision of corrective maintenance and replacement maintenance, respectively. Further, this paper proposes a basic scheme for a modernization of mechanize track maintenance that using MTT(Multiple Tie Tamper) and Ballast Cleaner.

  • KTX trains which began passenger service between Seoul and Busan in April 2004 have gained very high evaluation for their safe operation. Track is one of the most important means to keep KTX safety, it has not been a fail of safe structure. The track failure during operation may lead to a severe accident. So, it is to be verified the confidence of track maintenance management on the high speed line. This paper would like to find a track deformation trend through a comparative analysis on actual measurement data at these times. It discusses the effect of cyclic dynamic load at welding part. KTX dynamic impact load was measured in accordance with a rail surface irregularity and analyzed some track irregularities according to the condition of rail profile at welding part in the Gyeongbu high speed line.

방향틀림이 KTX 주행거동에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the Influence of Track Alignment on Ride Comfort and Safety of KTX)

  • 궤도틀림은 철도차량의 주행안전성 및 승차감에 매우 큰 영향을 미치는 중요 인자 중 하나이다. 따라서, 차량의 주행안전성과 승차감의 확보를 위해서는 주행속도, 차량의 동적특성, 궤도틀림 검측차의 검측특성, 검측주기등을 고려하여 적정한 궤도틀림 기준을 설정하고, 관련 기준에 따라 궤도틀림을 철저히 관리하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 궤도틀림 중에서 방향틀림이 KTX 차량의 거동에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 철도차량 동특성 해석프로그램인 VAMPIRE를 이용하여 방향틀림의 파장과 진폭에 대한 매개변수해석을 수행하였다. 방향틀림 크기와 파장에 따른 KTX의 탈선계수, 대차가속도, 차체가속도 및 궤도횡압 등의 주행거동을 조사하였으며, 방향틀림이 KTX차량의 주행안전성과 승차감에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 방향틀림은 차량주행안전성에 미치는 영향이 크며, KTX 주행안전성 확보를 위하여 방향틀림을 엄격하게 관리하여야 함을 알 수 있었다.

Random vibration analysis of train-slab track-bridge coupling system under earthquakes

  • This study aimed to investigate the random vibration characteristic of train-slab track-bridge interaction system subjected to both track irregularities and earthquakes by use of pseudo-excitation method (PEM). Each vehicle subsystem was modeled by multibody dynamics. A three-dimensional rail-slab- girder-pier finite element model was created to simulate slab track and bridge subsystem. The equations of motion for the entire system were established based on the constraint condition of no jump between wheel and rail. The random load vectors of equations of motion were formulated by transforming track irregularities and seismic accelerations into a series of deterministic pseudo-excitations according to their respective power spectral density (PSD) functions by means of PEM. The time-dependent PSDs of random vibration responses of the system were obtained by step-by-step integration method, and the corresponding extreme values were estimated based on the first-passage failure criterion. As a case study, an ICE3 high-speed train passing a fifteen-span simply supported girder bridge simultaneously excited by track irregularities and earthquakes is presented. The evaluated extreme values and the PSD characteristic of the random vibration responses of bridge and train are analyzed, and the influences of train speed and track irregularities (without earthquakes) on the random vibration characteristic of bridge and train are discussed.

  • This paper estabilsh the systematical scheme that evaluates the operation frequencies of the MTT(Multiple Tie Tamper). An evaluation of the operation frequencies, covering 4 different permanent ways that are Kyungbu, Homan, Jungang and Youngdong, has been carried out using real track irregularities. The deterioration rate of track irregularities used to evaluate rational operation frequencies of MTT in a block of railway track. Furthermore, this paper provides the scheme that prevents damage due to excess using of MTT and to promote efficiency of MTT application.

  • The accuracy of the results of the rail vehicle dynamic model is dependent on the realism of the track input to the model. An important part of the track input is the irregularities that exist on actual track. This study presents a modeling method for creating track data with the irregularities for use as the input to VAMPIRE, a rail vehicle dynamic analysis program. The characteristics of the measured track data using the mid chord system has been studied and examined the method to create track data with the measured data to apply in the vehicle dynamic analysis.

슬래브궤도상의 레일 용접부 피로수명 예측 (Prediction of Bending Fatigue Life to Welding Parts of Rail on Slab Track)

  • For the purpose of the effective maintenance of surface irregularities of rail, this paper investigates the rail service life to a bending fatigue failure of welding parts of rail on the slab track by the structures laboratory testing to derive S-N curves, a GTDAP(General Track Dynamic Analysis Program) to calculate the stresses and a modified Miner's rule to predict a fatigue life. The useful guides for maintenance of rail welded parts on the slab track are proposed in terms of a grinding period and the depth of rail surface irregularities. This study also proposed the guides for maintenance of rail welded part on the ballast track. The effects of fatigue service lives are compared one another.
