In this paper, we show that it is more efficient to use a new algorithm than to use a method of trace definition and property when we use trace calculation method on trinomial irreducible polynomial of reed-solomon code. This implementation has been done in SUN SPARC2 workstation using C-language.

In this paper, a new trace driven simulation algorithm is proposed to evaluate the bus traffic and the miss ration of the various sector cache memories, which have various sub-block sizes and block sizes and associativities and number of sets, with a single pass through an address trace. Trace-driven simulaton is usually used as a method for performance evaluation of sector cache memories, but it spends a lot of simulation time for simulating the diverse cache configurations with a long address trace. The proposed algorithm shortens the simulation time by evaluating the performance of the various sector cache configurations. which have various sub-block sizes and block sizes and associativities and number of sets , with a single pass through an address trace. Our simulation results show that the run times of the proposed simulation algorithm can be considerably reduced than those of existing simulation algorithms, when the proposed algorithm is miplemented in C language and the address traces obtained from the various sample programs are used as a input of trace-driven simulation.
Purpose: Difference of refraction result from the method of autorefraction and iTrace were investigaged for the children of elementary school in Asan City. In iTrace method. exclusion of accommodation without cycloplegia was used. Methods: Manifest refractive stale of 42 eyes of 12~13 years old were measured using autorefractor and iTrace. Refractions of far (more than 5 m) and ncar (30 cm) vision were measured using iTrace. All data showed that the spherical equivalent were classified as being in the group 1 (-0.50D < ~ < +1.00D) and 2 (below -0.50D) according 10 refractive errors. Results: Mean spherical equivalent using autorefractor and iTrace (far and near vision) were -1.08D, -0.29D and -2.34D, respectively (p<0.01). Compared with the far vision using iTrace, autorefraction was measured the myopia with -0.50D ~ -1.00D in 52.4% of total eyes. Autorefraction also statistical significant were measured a more myopia than the far vision using iTrace in group I and 2. Conclusions: The difference of refractive errors between autorefraction and iTrace, objective refraction were measured with far vision of more than 5 m were -0.79D. Autoreftaction showed statistically decreased refraction errors than iTrace with far vision.

Trace minerals such as zinc, copper, and manganese are essential cofactors for hundreds of cellular enzymes and transcription factors in all animal species, and thus participate in a wide variety of biochemical processes. Immune development and response, tissue and bone development and integrity, protection against oxidative stress, and cellular growth and division are just a few examples. Deficiencies in trace minerals can lead to deficits in any of these processes, as well as reductions in growth performance. As such, most animal diets are supplemented with inorganic and/or organic forms of trace minerals. Inorganic trace minerals (ITM) such as sulfates and oxides form the bulk of trace mineral supplementation, but these forms of minerals are well known to be prone to dietary antagonisms. Feeding high-quality chelated trace minerals or other classes of organic trace minerals (OTM) can provide the animal with more bioavailable forms of the minerals. Interestingly, many, if not most, published experiments show little or no difference in the bioavailability of OTMs versus ITMs. In some cases, it appears that there truly is no difference. However, real differences in bioavailability can be masked if source comparisons are not made on the linear portion of the dose-response curve. When highly bioavailable chelated minerals are fed, they will better supply the biochemical systems of the cells of the animal, leading to a wide variety of benefits in both poultry and swine. Indeed, the use of certain chelated trace minerals has been shown to enhance mineral uptake, and improve the immune response, oxidative stress management, and tissue and bone development and strength. Furthermore, the higher bioavailability of these trace minerals allows the producer to achieve similar or improved performance, at reduced levels of trace mineral inclusion.
Trace element are involved in enzymatic activities, immunological reactions. physiological mechanisms. Deficiency in some trace elements, such as iron and iodine. is still an important health problem, The role of trace elements deficiency is suspected in various clinical situations and is now confirmed by well designed supplementation studies. However, the importance of trace elements as chinese herbal constituents is not sufficiently appreciated by the oriental medical profession, although in recent years a significant increase of new finding on their essential character in chinese herbal medicine occurred. It is well known that herbal medicine contains a variety of trace elements which would show therapeutic effects with active components in herbal medicine . In china, recent work showed some positive correlation between trace element and traditional chinese medicine (TCM) in terms of therapeutic effects even if their role in therapeutic effects is still obscure. In korea, not much attention has been on the therapeutic importance of trace element contained in herbal medicine Here, the therapeutic effects of trace element in TCM were reviewed and summarized. 1. Iron, copper, zinc and manganese are mainly contained in TCM. In addtion, chromium, magnesium, molybdenum, nickel, alminium, cobalt, arsenic and selenium has been studied for their therapeutic effects 2. Zinc, is decreased in patients who have deficiency of kindney(腎虛) and chronic disease. Fe is decreased in patients who have deficiency of blood(血虛). However copper is increased in patients who have chronic disease and hepatic disease.3 Iron concentration is high in herbs used for tonifying and nourishing yin or blood(補陰補血藥) Zinc concentration is high also in herb used for tonifying kidiney and vital essence(補腎補精藥). In addition. copper concentration Is high in herb used for replenishing qi(補氣藥) 4 In herbal drugs, the therapeutic substances in TCM are not only organic but also inorganic. It seems that trace elements would be one of components in herb for its therapeutic effects. This indicates that therapeutic effects of TCM should be extended not only to herb itself, bur also to trace elements contained in herb.

Soil trace elements and their bioaccumulation in agricultural products have attracted widespread concerns, yet the crop uptake characteristics of trace elements in different soil-plants systems have been rarely investigated. Experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of soil properties on trace element concentrations in cabbage and radish. Soil pH and total organic matter were major factors influencing trace elements transfer from soil to vegetables. Inclusion of other soil properties in the stepwise regression analysis improved the regression models for predicting trace element concentrations. Consideration of other soil properties should be taken into account for more precise prediction of trace element concentrations in the two vegetables, which could help quantitatively evaluate the ecologic risk of toxic trace elements accumulation in crops.
A feeding trial using sows and their neonates was conducted to determine the effects of source and level of organic trace mineral supplementation on reproductive performance of sows and the subsequent performance of their neonates through 2 wk post weaning. A total of 16 gestating sows ($Landrace{\times}$Yorkshire) in parities 2 to 4 were randomly assigned to 4 dietary treatments following a $2{\times}2$ factorial arrangement in a completely randomized design. One of the two factors evaluated the effect of the source (inorganic vs organic), and the second factor evaluated the effect of the level (low vs high) of trace minerals added to the diet. The trace mineral premixes were formulated to provide a low concentration of trace minerals (50 ppm Fe/87.5 ppm Fe, 17.5 ppm Cu/85 ppm Cu, 45 ppm Zn/60 ppm Zn, and 20 ppm Mn/17.5 ppm Mn), and a high concentration of trace minerals (100 ppm Fe/175 ppm Fe, 35 ppm Cu/170 ppm Cu, 90 ppm Zn/120 ppm Zn, 40 ppm Mn/35 ppm Mn), when included at 0.20% in sows'/weaned pigs' diets, respectively. The total number born, total born alive and weaned, and the average neonate weight at birth were affected neither by the dietary source nor by the level of trace minerals (p>0.05), but an interaction effect (p<0.05) between the source and level of trace minerals was observed on the average weight at weaning. The neonates from sows fed the low level of organic trace minerals gained weight at an equal rate compared with those farrowed by sows fed the high level of inorganic trace minerals. Sows fed the organic trace minerals nursed their young with milk higher in Fe and Zn (p<0.05) compared with those fed diets with inorganic trace minerals. Consequently, the weaned pigs receiving the organic form of trace minerals tended to grow at a faster rate, consumed less feed and tended to utilize their feed more efficiently (p<0.10). It was further observed that the organic trace minerals significantly increased (p<0.05) Fe contents in the liver and serum, and Zn in the serum and bone. In conclusion, sows and neonates fed the organic minerals at low level showed similar performance compared with those fed the inorganic minerals at high level as specified in this study.
This paper describes the development of the media art environment concept, in which the user's interaction becomes visual arts in both digital and analogue media. It describes AD-Trace, an experimental media art component that investigates the aesthetic and technological possibilities through the development of interactive media artworks that utilizes that the traces of the user's interaction. The AD-Trace consists of three design components: Analogue Trace, Digital Trace, and Interaction Metaphor to guide user interactions with user's understanding. Three artworks are proposed to demonstrate the real world applications of the concept: AD-PD(analogue digital picture diary), AD-Star (analogue digital star), and AD-Map (analogue digital map).

In a process of insect foot recognition, footprint segments as basic areas for recognition need to be extracted from scanned insect footprints and appropriate features should be found from the footprint segments in order to discriminate kinds of insects, because the characteristics of the features are important to classify insects. In this paper, we propose methods for automatic footprint segmentation and feature extraction. We use a Trace transform method in order to find out appropriate features from the extracted segments by the above methods. The Trace transform method builds a new type of data structure from the segmented images by functions using parallel trace lines and the new type of data structure has characteristics invariant to translation, rotation and reflection of images. This data structure is converted to Triple features by Diametric and Circus functions, and the Triple features are used for discriminating patterns of insect footprints. In this paper, we show that the Triple features found by the proposed methods are enough distinguishable and appropriate for classifying kinds of insects.
