Our analysis, also, provides several strategic solutions to those problems by foreign direct investment, international trade, hub port development, and international tourism. first strategy is to create a more favorable business environment for foreign investors. Foreign direct investment is the most effective way to internationalize the specific district. Second strategy is to expand the export of small and medium-sized firms in Yeosu. Especially, local firms with agricultural/fishery products have to develop various new products and introduce the effective international marketing strategy. Final strategy is to develop the hub port in Yeosu and the new tourist resources to attract foreign tourists.

  • This study was aimed to identify determinants of users' satisfaction and behavioral intention in Jirisan trail of Korea and provide effective trail building and management strategy. The result of survey by 645 trail users showed that four dimensions were derived from 14 satisfaction items, which were experiential resources, cost resources, information, amenities. Of these dimensions, experiential resources along trails including natural environment, the level of trail development, trail condition, cultural & tourist resources, kindness of residents had the greatest effect on overall satisfaction and behavioral intention, which included revisit intention, recommendation intention and continuance intention. According to analysis by detailed variables, natural environment, road signs, kindness of residents and related information significantly affected overall satisfaction and behavioral intention.

  • Marine oil spill accidents are occurring continuously due to the marine transportation of the oil. While building a preventive system for oil spill is uttermost necessary, we also need to have a systematic response system to handle the oil spills that inevitably occur. So far, studies have focused on the environmentally sensitive resources affected by oil spills. However, there is a need to conduct research to evaluate the damage to the socially and economically sensitive resources that make up the life of local residents. This study represents the process of building an analytical framework for the assessment of socioeconomic resources affected by marine oil spills. While it is important to provide a scheme for identification and indexation of socially and economically sensitive resources that is compatible with Korea's situations, using existing data for identifying socio-economically sensitive resources might also be meaningful. However, to allow accurate analysis for better evaluation, we need to select more applicable data among the various indicators. In this research, we have reviewed many existing case studies of sensitive resources, studies of the variables that have been used for indexing sensitive resources, and various factors considered in SIA (Social Impact Assessment). Based on the findings, we classify socio-economically sensitive resources into marine products acquisition, population, land usage, administrative area, and cultural heritage and tourist region.

  • The purpose of this study is to find problems about pedestrian road of tourist resort and to make new type of sidewalk pavement with wood chip and binder using urethane resin on the parks and tourist resort. The wood chip pavement has new economics and durability with comfortable texture. Samples of these pavement materials were tested for tensile strength, permeability and ball rebound value. Also, after immersion for 24 hours, tensile strength, samples' thickness and weight were measured and discussed the strength reduction according to the water immersion. Tensile strength experimentation was examined on dry condition and water immersion. The result of examination on dry condition was 1.06MPa and on water immersion was 0.67MPa. The results showed 36.8% decreasing rate of tensile strength. Permeability experiment test based on field permeability method of pavement were conducted as a result, permeability coefficients were in the range of 0.67~0.78mm/s that all exceeds object permeability coefficient. Elasticity experiment was based on elasticity test method of Japan road association. GB coefficient was 21% and SB coefficient was 10%. GB coefficient and SB coefficient increased if fine aggregate were increased.

  • The landscape disign of Gamcheon wholesale fish Market was designed around a turnkey base to promote the economy of Busan Metropolitan City, to establish a fishery marketing center and to modernize existing facilities. The objectives of the project were to promote the mood of an old market, while preserving its functions and efficiency as a market, to design outdoor spaces with natural resources and amenities in balance, and to create attractive tourist spots in connection with the wide area development plan. The project was oriented, fast, to enhance the functions of the market. For this purpose, a multi-dimensional space layout was designed in consideration of functions as a wholesale market. The safety of pedestrians was secured by separating lathes for vehicles and for pedestrians. Tree planting with various functions such as sheltering, wind breaking and guiding was planned. Secondly, nature-friendly and human-friendly landscaping design was attempted. For this, the beautiful natural resources of Amnam Park were utilized, and green spaces such as green bridges linking buildings in the wholesale market, and rooftop gardens were to be arranged. In addition, environment-friendly facilities such as roads paved with natural materials(i.e. gravel, shells) and program parking lots were to be planned. Thirdly, landscape design was considered to create attractive tourist spots. For example, a fish farm was created as a theme street for pedestrians and various water-friendly spaces such as pedestrian ramps, observatories and seaside streets were to be secured. The main contents are as follows. First, a green bridge to Ahnnam Park was introduced for a tour source and flower garden, an event plan and viewing deck open to the sea were planned on the bridge's axis. Secondly, for the effective land use plan concerning open space and convenience to visitors, a promenade was planned, which is connected with the theme plaza and small plazas by environmental sculptures in front of the market hall and at the gate. As well, an observatory and a roof garden help create three dimensional multi leveled space, with a good view of the natural landscape of the sea, sky and park Thirdly, landscape materials, such as trees and those for facilities, strengthened for protection against the seawind and salt damage were selected. The commercial market area was intended to be transformed a traditional functional area of efficiency and economy into an attractive marine leisure area where both tourists and neighbors can make use of it.
