  • The objective of this article is to create a model of integrated management from the framework modeling of a digital collaborative network supported by knowledge engineering to make heritage site in the Brazil more effective. It is an exploratory and qualitative research with thematic analysis as technique of data analysis from the collaborative network, digital platform, world heritage, and tourism themes. The snowballing approach was chosen, and the mapping and classification of relevant studies was developed with the use of the spreadsheet tool and the Mendeley® software. The results show that the collaborative network model oriented towards strategic objectives should be supported by a digital platform that provides a technological environment that adds functionalities and digital platform services with the integration of knowledge engineering techniques and tools, enabling the discovery and sharing of knowledge in the collaborative network.

  • With the implementation of the Northeast Revitalization Strategy, the tourism industry in Heilongjiang Province had an increasingly greater impact on regional economic development. Based on the tourism panel data of Heilongjiang Province from 2005 to 2021, this paper used DEA-BCC and Malmquist Index to analyze the static and dynamic changes of the tourism industry. The results of the study were as follows: (1) Static: The OE value reached strong DEA effectiveness in 2010, 2013, and 2019, indicated that tourism resources had been fully utilized. The SE value changed dramatically between 0.354 and 1, and the PTE value approached 1. OE was mainly affected by SE changes. (2) Dynamic: The total factor productivity (TFP) was overall greater than 1 and grew at an average annual rate of 13.8%. The variation in TFP was primarily influenced by the index of technological progress, indicated that the tourism industry in Heilongjiang Province made full use of technology for resource development, with a relatively high level of development efficiency. Therefore, the future focus of Heilongjiang Province's tourism industry will be on adjustments in industrial scale, technological innovation, and policy optimization.

Particularly smartphones with the locative media services in tourism are booming because location-based technology such as GPS is well suit with tourism and tourists' needs. Smartphones also overcome the technological limit of traditional information media such as printed book, newspaper, etc. Based on the Niche Theory, the study examines the competitive relationships among information media that are used in tourism including smartphones, traditional paper publications, and computers. The paper also examines the niche of each medium based on the theory and finds which medium is more effective and preferred by people who utilize the services before and during their travel.

Based on PESTLE analysis, key aspects of the external environment of gastronomic tourism in Ukraine are identified. We took into account the principles of sustainable development: political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental. The main trends in the development of gastronomic tourism in the world are studied and it is found that the greatest development in the coming years will be the trend of combining gastronomic and event tourism on the basis of sustainable development. • On February 18, 2019, the Chinese government officially released the Outline of the Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which will lead the country in a new round of reform and opening-up. The Greater Bay Area will become a dynamic world-class city cluster, an international scientific and technological innovation center with global influence, an important support for the development of the "One Belt And One Road", a demonstration area for in-depth cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao, and a high-quality living area for living, working and traveling. Non-Pearl River Delta(Non-PRD) cities in Guangdong Province are adjacent to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, so it is of practical significance to promote the high-quality development of urban tourism from an international perspective. Based on the panel data released in Guangdong Yearbook 2019, this paper uses the envelopment data analysis (DEA) method to explore ways to promote the high-quality tourism development of Non-PRD cities in Guangdong Province based on the perspective of international development.

  • The metaverse applies various technological means such as digital twin modeling, 3D rendering, and holographic imaging, which can provide an immersive tourism service experience. However, since the development of the metaverse is still in its infancy, there is relatively little research on digital tourism from the perspective of the metaverse. This research empirically studies the factors that promote the participation behavior of users on the metaverse platform for digital cultural tourism. Our results show that users' internal motivations for learning and entertainment and the functions provided by metaverse, which are sensory stimulation and social interaction lead to the intention to participate in cultural tourism on metaverse with the mediating effects of immersion experience and perceived pleasure.

  • Tourism products involve the transfer of money that is flowing to countries with partners or borders, which do not possess any relations surrounding their business environment. Suitable platforms must be generated by the tourism industry, which are beneficial to users when their demands are satisfied based on financial, technology, knowledge, and industry matters. Intermediaries are applied to alleviate different problems that are related to the non-fulfilment of contracts of existing users and service providers who are offering their services and represent a reliable third party. However, it is significant that intermediaries must be reliable when charges are incurred for any possible commission. Cryptocurrencies rely on blockchain technology to provide smoothness in money interchange without the need for reliable third parties. This interchange allows an increasing number of different new forms, which are related to different customer-to-customer transactions. The study attempts to provide an appropriate answer to the main research question, which is: 'Will the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies bring new types of customer-to-customer markets from a technological, organizational, and environmental perspective?'.

  • Based on the tourism input-output data of five provinces and cities in China's Bohai Rim region from 2015~2021, this study analyzes the efficiency of regional tourism using DEA-BCC and DEA-Malmquist index, as well as its contribution to regional economic efficiency, and identifies factors influencing the comprehensive efficiency. The research results indicate that the comprehensive efficiency of the tourism industry in the China Bohai Sea region has reached an optimal level of 88.9%, but there is still room for improvement, with overall fluctuations. The overall productivity of the tourism industry exhibits a "U"-shaped fluctuating pattern, with growth mainly driven by technological advancements. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the region experienced a nearly 50% decrease in total factor productivity in 2019~2020. However, in 2021, with the implementation of various government stimulus policies, the tourism efficiency rapidly recovered to 80% of pre-pandemic levels. In terms of the impact of the tourism industry on the regional economy in the China Bohai Sea region, Hebei Province stands out as a significant contributor. Based on the aforementioned research findings, the following recommendations are proposed in three aspects: optimizing the supply structure, increasing innovation investment, and strengthening internal collaboration. These recommendations provide valuable insights for enhancing regional tourism efficiency and promoting regional synergy.
