A Study on the Coast Topography using Real-Time Kinematics GPS and Echo Sounder

  • This research aims at investigation of accuracy potential of RTK(Real-Time Kinematic) GPS in combination with Echo Sounder(E/S) for the coastal mapping. Apart from this purpose, the accuracy of ambiguity resolution with the OTF(On The Fly) method was tested with respect to the initialization time. The result shows that the accuracy is better than 1cm with 5-minute initialization in the distance of 10km baseline. The seaside topography was measured by the RTK GPS only, on the other hand the seafloor topography was surveyed in combination of RTK GPS and E/S. Comparing to the volume of seaside measured by RTK GPS and digital topographical map, the difference of only 2% was achieved. This indicates that the coastal mapping. As a result, it has been revealed that every possible noise in surveying could be corrected and the accuracy could be improved. The accuracy of GPS data acquired in real time was as good as that acquired by post processing. It is expected that it will be useful for the analysis of coastal geographic characteristics because DTM(Digital Terrain Model) can be also constructed for the harbor reclamation, the dredging, and the variation of soil movement in a river.

Measurement of a Mirror Surface Topography Using 2-frame Phase-shifting Digital Interferometry

  • We propose a digital holographic interference analysis method based on a 2-frame phase-shifting technique for measuring an optical mirror surface. The technique using 2-frame phase-shifting digital interferometry is more efficient than multi-frame phase-shifting techniques because the 2-frame method has the advantage of a reduced number of interferograms, and then takes less time to acquire the wanted topography information from interferograms. In this measurement system, 2-frame phase-shifting digital interferograms are acquired by moving the reference flat mirror surface, which is attached to a piezoelectric transducer, with phase step of 0 or $\pi$/2 in the reference beam path. The measurements are recorded on a CCD detector. The optical interferometry is designed on the basis of polarization characteristics of a polarizing beam splitter. Therefore the noise from outside turbulence can be decreased. The proposed 2-frame algorithm uses the relative phase difference of the neighbor pixels. The experiment has been carried out on an optical mirror which flatness is less than $\lambda$/4. The measurement of the optical mirror surface topography using 2-frame phase-shifting interferometry shows that the peak-to-peak value is calculated to be about $0.1779{\mu}m$, the root-mean-square value is about $0.034{\mu}m$. Thus, the proposed method is expected to be used in nondestructive testing of optical components.

수치모형에 의한 만곡수로의 흐름 및 하상 특성 분석 (An Analysis of the Flow and Bed Topography Characteristics of Curved Channels with Numerical Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 연속방정식, 운동량방정식, 2차흐름의 연직분포식, 횡방향 하상경사식 등을 이용하여 단일만곡수로 뿐만 아니라 연속만곡수로에서 흐름특성과 하상변동을 분석할 수 있는 수치모형을 계산하였다. 단일만곡수로에서는 흐름특성치와 하상변동을 실험치와 비교하였으며, 연속만곡수로에서는 최대유속의 이동경로를 Vadnal 수치모형의 계산치, Chang의 실험치와 비교하여 만족할 만한 결과를 얻었다. 중심각 $180^{\circ}$ 인 유로만곡부에서 고정상 및 이동상의 조건으로 실험을 실시하였으며, 하상재료로는 모래와 안트라싸이트를 선택하였다. 모래와 안트라싸이트의 경우에도 실험치와 계산치가 비교적 일치하고 있어서 하상재료가 변화되는 유로만곡부에서도 수치모형의 적용성을 확인하였다. 이 연구는 유로만곡부의 설계, 시공, 유지 및 관리 등에 필요한 흐름특성과 하상변동에 관한 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 생각된다.

울릉도 나리분지의 입지유형별 토양특성 (Soil Characteristics by the Site Types around Nari Basin in Ulleung Island)

  • 울릉도 나리분지 주변의 지속가능한 관리를 위한 기초정보를 제공하기 위하여 입지유형별 (사면, 지형, 임분) 토양특성을 분석하였다. 사면별 토양분석 결과, 토양 pH와 유효인산 함량은 북사면이 다른 조사지에 비해 유의적으로 낮게 나타났으며 전질소 함량은 나리분지가 가장 낮았다. 지형별 분석 결과, 토양 pH는 산정의 5.13에서 나리분지의 5.59, 전질소 함량은 평지인 나리분지의 0.63%에서 산복의 0.87%의 범위에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 임분별 토양특성 중 토양 pH, 전질소 및 유효인산 함량은 전조사지에서 유의적인 차이가 나타나 식생의 영향을 직접적으로 받는다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히, 유효인산 함량은 사면별로는 2.79-8.46 ppm, 지형별로는 3.99-8.46 ppm, 임분별로는 5.03-11.59 ppm으로 나타나 일반 산림토양과 비교하면 아주 낮은 것으로 분석되었다.

  • This study had been conducted to determine morphological characteristics of soil in the major districts cultivating flue-cured tobacco plant. Also native soil productivities were measured by means of bioassay planting tobacco plant without fertilizer at 87 selected soils through field experiment. Morphological characteristics of troll affecting the dry weight of tobacco leaves cultivated in the field were investigated Among soil morphological characteristics, topograpy, slope, topsoil depth, soil depth, and soil texture had influenced with high significant on the dry weight of tobacco leaves. For prediction of dry weight (productivity) of tobacco leaves without fertilizer , multiple regression analysis were introduced using soul morphological characteristics. A combination of topography, slope, topsoil depth, and soil texture was very reliable for prediction of productivity. 보간기법에 따른 해저지형의 정확도 분석 (An Analysis of Accuracy for Submarine Topographic Information by Interpolation Method)

  • Three-dimensional information of submarine topography was acquired by assembling DGPS and Echo Sounder, which is mainly used in the marine survey. However, the features of submarine topography, derived according to mechanical data, were confirmed using human eyes. Because the dredging capacity using a submarine surveying data influences harbor public affairs, analysis and the process method of surveying data is a very special element in construction costs. In this study, information on submarine topography is acquired by assembling DGPS and Echo Sounder. Moreover, the dredging capacity in harbor public affairs has been analyzed by the interpolation method: inverse distance to a power, kriging, minimum curvature, nearest neighbor, and radial basis function. Also, utilization of DGPS and Echo Sounder method in calculation of the dredging capacity have been confirmed by comparing and analyzing the dredging capacity and the actual one, as per each interpolation. According to this comparison result, in the case of applying Radial basis function interpolation and Kriging, 3.94 % and 4.61 % of error rates have been shown, respectively. In the case of the study for application of the proper interpolation, as per characteristics of submarine topography, is preceded in calculation of the dredging capacity relevant to harbor public affairs, it is expected that more speedy and correct calculation for the dredging capacity can be made.

  • The transcription characteristics in the molding of aspheric glass lenses for camera phone modules have been investigated experimentally. The surface topographies of both the form and the roughness were compared between the mold and the molded lens. The molded lens showed a transcription ratio of 93.4%, which is obtained by comparing the form accuracy (PV) values of the mold and the molded lens. The transcription of the roughness topography was ascertained by bearing ratio analysis.

Heaps 모델을 이용한 천수만 해역의 조류해석 (Analysis of Tidal Current for Cheonsu Bay Using Heaps Model)

  • Generally, It is Introduced to well-known other models without considering tidal current of the field. The paper presents field measurements and numerical model solving velocity field of Cheonsu Bay by two-dimensional tidal model. It was proved that this scheme is easy to handle complex topography. Computed results is represented characteristics of tidal current for Cheonsu Bay. The results of the study can be summarized as follows ; 1. Tide form number has 0.21 value. Tidal range estimated 630.3 cm on spring, 454.1 cm on mean and 277.9 cm on neap, respectively 2. Tidal current has semi-diurnal form. Distance of traveling observed 16.6 km on flood and 15.5 km on ebb. 3. Tidal velocity showed reversing current. It was found that tidal velocity above 100 cm/sec is about 20 %. 4. Computed results are in good agreement with the observed data. Applying the algorithm to Cheonsu Bay, velocity fields and dry bank phenomena are simulated well in spite of complex topography. 5. An advanced study on the effects of open boundary conditions should be continuously performed.
