  • A small rivers take advantage of not only a site of superb scenic beauty, a play space, a rest place but also a momentous waters reservoir, a drainage on territory residents. Likewise, part of the most massed a life space to a region dwellers shall be extremely in harmony with coexistence space in that every kind plant, animal over again a human being and so on. For improvement planning of small river, various way and model are presented. But, it's want of ability for small rivers of a adaption many-side and throwing in a lot of financial resources. Because the improvement planning of small river was designed all small river in a county, the priority must be preprocessed. Now, the counties prioritized for improvement planning of small river are a few, and acquisition and manipulation of the data are time-consuming. Geo-Spatial Information System (GSIS) is specifically designed to manage and analyze spatial data. It will be to offer the benefit to the determination of the improvement priority in a small river. The purpose of this study is to offer priority for improvement planning of small river using GSIS. For this purpose, it was developed using Arc/Info software and AML was used as a developing tool.

  • We have analyzed the cause of black "mura" and measured it in prism light guide plate(LGP). Properties of components used in a backlight uint(BLU) have changed by simulation tool. We get major factor of black "mura" for improvement in prism LGP. For the improvement of black "mura", removal of brightness "mura" at input light part must precede preferentially because of reflection characteristic of the prism LGP. Removal of brightness "mura" is improved by hanging of input light part in LGP and dispersion treatment.

  • Two ways of improvement of the strut for the HCF was made in this paper. The strut for the existing HCF is a passive link, which results the posture of the HCF and related bones. The accuracy of the HCF depends on the accuracy of the strut length. A "digital gage" was proposed to increase the accuracy of the strut by presenting the measuring result as figures in manual mode operation. And a "motorized strut system" was designed for the automated HCF operation. A strut was equipped with a motor, "motorized strut" can be operated manually and automatically. In automatic mode, the HCF operating data is generated by the HCF schedule package in PC and is downloaded to the "motorized strut system" controller. By these two improvements, changes in orthopedic equipments like HCF and other Ilizarov fixators are expected.

  • With the increasing interest of reducing process variation, statistical process control has served the pivotal tool in most industrial quality programs. In this study, system analyses have been performed associated with a cost incorporated version of a process control, a quadratic loss-based X over bar control chart model. Specifically, two issues, the capital/research investments for improvement of a system and the precision of a parameter estimation, have been addressed and discussed. Through the analysis of experimental results, we show that process variability is seen to be one of the most important sources of loss and quality improvement efforts should be directed to reduce this variability. We further derive the results that, even if the optimal designs may be sensitive, the model appears to be robust with regard to misspecification of parameters. The approach and discussion taken in this study provide a meaningful guide for proper process control. We conclude this study with providing general comments.
