The Authentication Model which Utilized Tokenless OTP (Tokenless OTP를 활용한 인증 모델)

  • Is need Remote Access through internet for business of Ubiquitous Computing age, and apply OTP for confidentiality about inputed ID and Password, network security of integrity. Current OTP must be possessing hardware or Token, and there is limitation in security. Install a Snooping tool to OTP network in this treatise, and because using Cain, enforce ARP Cache Poisoning attack and confirm limitation by Snooping about user password. Wish to propose new system that can apply Tokenless OTP by new security way, and secure confidentiality and integrity. Do test for access control inflecting Tokenless OTP at Remote Access from outside. and could worm and do interface control with certification system in hundred. Even if encounter hacking at certification process, thing that connection is impossible without pin number that only user knows confirmed. Because becoming defense about outward flow and misuse and hacking of password when apply this result Tokenless OTP, solidify security, and evaluated by security system that heighten safety.

  • MPTCP(Multipath Transmission Control Protocol) is able to compose many TCP paths when two hosts connect and the data is able to be transported through these paths simultaneously. When a new path is added, the authentication between both hosts is necessary to check the validity of host. So, MPTCP exchanges a key when initiating an connection and makes a token by using this key for authentication. However the original MPTCP is vulnerable to MITM(Man In The Middle) attacks because the key is transported in clear text. Therefore, we applied a ECDH(Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman) key exchange algorithm to original MPTCP and replaced the original key to the ECDH public key. And, by generating the secret key after the public key exchanges, only two hosts is able to make the token using the secret key to add new subflow. Also, we designed and implemented a method supporting encryption and decryption of data using a shared secret key to apply confidentiality to original MPTCP.

  • A smart phone has functions of both telephone and computer. The wide spread use of smart phones has sharply increased the demand for mobile commerce. The smart phone based mobile services are available anytime, anywhere. In commercial transactions, a digital signature scheme is used to make legally binding signature to prove both integrity of commercial document and verification of the signer. Smart phones are more risky compared with personal computers on the problems of how to protect privacy information. It's also easy to let proxy user to authenticate instead of the smart phone owner. In existing password or token based schemes, the ID is not physically bound to the owner. Thus, those schemes can not solve the problem of proxy authentication. To utilize the smart phone as the platform of mobile commerce, a study on the new type of authentication scheme is needed where the scheme should provide protocol to get legally binding signature and not to authenticate proxy user. In this paper, we create the mobile ID by using both the USIM and voice template of the smart phone owner. We also design and implement the user authentication scheme based on the mobile ID.

  • Internet banking, electronic financial services and internet telephony service can be available on smart phone recently. In this case, more robust authentication mechanisms should be provided for enhancing security on it. In this study, a facial biometric ID based one-time password generation mechanism is designed and implemented for enhancing user authentication on smart phone. After capturing a facial biometric data using camera module on smart phone, it is sent to server to generate one-time biometric ID. Finally one-time password will be generated by client module after receiving the one time biometric ID based challenge token from the server. Using proposed biometric ID based one-time password mechanism, it is possible for us to provide more secure user authentication service on smart phone for SIP protocol.

  • There's a controversy about an invasion of privacy which includes a leakage of private information and linking of user's behavior on internet. Although many solutions for this problem are proposed, we think anonymous authentication, authorization, and payment mechanism is the best solution for this problem. In this paper, we propose an effective anonymity-based method that achieves not only authentication but also authorization. Our proposed method uses anonymous qualification certificate and group signature method as an underlying primitive, and combines anonymous authentication and qualification information. An eligible user is legitimately issued a group member key pair through key issuing process and issued some qualification certificates anonymously, and then, he can take the safe and convenience web service which supplies anonymous authentication and authorization. The qualification certificate can be expanded according to application environment and it can be used as payment token.

  • Over recent years, much research attention has been devoted to a two-factor authentication mechanism which integrates both tokenized pseudorandom numbers with user specific biometric features for biometric verification, known as Biohash. The main advantage of Biohash over sole biometrics is that Biohash is able to achieve a zero equal error rate and provide a clean separation of the genuine and imposter populations, thereby allowing elimination of false accept rates without imperiling the false reject rates. Nonetheless, when the token of a user is compromised, the recognition performance of a biometric system drops drastically. As such, a few solutions have been proposed to improve the degraded performance but such improvements appear to be insignificant. In this paper, we investigate and pinpoint the basis of such deterioration. Subsequently, we propose a two-level approach by utilizing strong inner products and fuzzy logic weighting strategies accordingly to increase the original performance of Biohash under this scenario.

  • Cross-Site Request Forgery is one of the attack techniques occurring in today's Web Applications. It allows an unauthorized attacker to send authorized requests to Web Server through end-users' browsers. These requests are approved by the Web Server as normal requests therefore unexpected results arise. The problem is that the Web Server verifies an end-user using his Cookie information. In this paper, we propose an enhanced CSRF defense scheme which uses Page Identifier and user password's hash value in addition to the Cookie value which is used to verify the normal requests. Our solution is simple to implement and solves the problem of the token disclosure when only a random token is used for normal request verification.

A Method for Generating Robust Key from Face Image and User Intervention (얼굴과 사용자 입력정보를 이용하여 안전한 키를 생성하는 방법)

  • Even though BioHashing scheme can effectively extract binary string key from analog biometrics templates, it shows lower performance in stolen-token scenario due to dependency of the token. In this paper, to overcome this limitation, we suggest a new method of generating security key from face image and user intervention. Using BioHashing and GPT schemes, our scheme can adjust dependency of PIN for user authentication and generate robust key with sufficient length. We perform various experiments to show performance of the proposed scheme.

  • Recently, the development of internet technology makes user's personal data used by being saved in USB. But there is a critical issue that personal data can be exposed with malicious purpose because that personal data doesn't need to be certificate to use. This paper proposes USB security framework to prevent a duplicate use of personal data for protecting the data which in USB. The proposed USB security framework performs certification process of user with additional 4bite of user's identification data and usage choice of USB security token before certification data when the framework uses USB security product in different network. It makes communication overhead and service delay increased. As a result of the experiment, packet certification delay time is more increased by average 7.6% in the proposed USB security framework than simple USB driver and USB Token, and procedure rate of certification server on the number of USB is also increased by average 9.8%.
