Standard Model for Mobile Forensic Image Development

  • As mobile forensics has emerged as an essential technique, the demand for technology development, education and training is increasing, wherein images are used. Academic societies in South Korea and national institutions in the US and the UK are leading the Mobile Forensic Image development. However, compared with disks, images developed in a mobile environment are few cases and have less active research, causing a waste of time, money, and manpower. Mobile Forensic Images are also difficult to trust owing to insufficient verification processes. Additionally, in South Korea, there are legal issues involving the Telecommunications Business Act and the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information. Therefore, in this study, we requested a review of a standard model for the development of Mobile Forensic Image from experts and designed an 11-step development model. The steps of the model are as follows: a. setting of design directions, b. scenario design, c. selection of analysis techniques, d. review of legal issues, e. creation of virtual information, f. configuring system settings, g. performing imaging as per scenarios, h. Developing a checklist, i. internal verification, j. external verification, and k. confirmation of validity. Finally, we identified the differences between the mobile and disk environments and discussed the institutional efforts of South Korea. This study will also provide a guideline for the development of professional quality verification and proficiency tests as well as technology and talent-nurturing tools. We propose a method that can be used as a guide to secure pan-national trust in forensic examiners and tools. We expect this study to strengthen the mobile forensics capabilities of forensic examiners and researchers. This research will be used for the verification and evaluation of individuals and institutions, contributing to national security, eventually.

TRACKING LIFT-PATHS OF A ROBOTIC TOWERCRANE WITH ENCODER SENSORS

  • This paper presents a robotic tower-crane system using encoder and gyroscope sensors as path tracking devices. Tower crane work is often associated with falling accidents and industrial disasters. Such problems often incur a loss of time and money for the contractor. For this reason, many studies have been done on an automatic tower crane. As a part of 5-year 23-million-dollar research project in Korea, we are developing a robotic tower crane which aims to improve the safety level and productivity. We selected a luffing tower crane, which is commonly used in urban construction projects today, as a platform for the robotic tower crane system. This system comprises two modules: the automated path planning module and the path tracking module. The automated path planning system uses the 3D Cartesian coordinates. When the robotic tower crane lifts construction material, the algorithm creates a line, which represents a lifting path, in virtual space. This algorithm seeks and generates the best route to lift construction material while avoiding known obstacles from real construction site. The path tracking system detects the location of a lifted material in terms of the 3D coordinate values using various types of sensors including adopts encoder and gyroscope sensors. We are testing various sensors as a candidate for the path tracking device. This specific study focuses on how to employ encoder and gyroscope sensors in the robotic crane These sensors measure a movement and rotary motion of the robotic tower crane. Finally, the movement of the robotic tower crane is displayed in a virtual space that synthesizes the data from two modules: the automatically planned path and the tracked paths. We are currently field-testing the feasibility of the proposed system using an actual tower crane. In the next step, the robotic tower crane will be applied to actual construction sites with a following analysis of the crane's productivity in order to ascertain its economic efficiency.

항만 하역 노동력의 최적 규모 결정에 관하여 (A Study on Determining the Optimal Amount of Labor Force for Cargo Handling in the Harbor)

  • Today, about 99% of total import and export cargo in Korea is being transported through the port. The general trends of cargo handling show increases in capacity and speed, In order to cope with these trends, it is not only required to raise the efficiencies of port operation and function but also necessary to decide the optimal amount of the skilled labor force for cargo handling in the port. Cargo handling in the port is basically relied on the cargo handling facilities. Therefore, it is very important to reserve the amount of labor force for cargo handling system has been developed up to a certain level but the personnel management system which is the superior structure has not been followed well. In this study, therefore, we show a method to determine the required amount of labor force for cargo handling considering the amount of cargo and type of cargo handling work per each cargo, and the optimal amount labor force in cope with the fluctuation of the basic cargo handling labor force with respect to the time of in and out cargo flow in the viewpoint of minimizing the expences due to reservation of extra labor force than needed and firing employment of labor force using the Dynamic Programming. The derived algorithm is introduced into the computer simulation for Pusan port with the analyzed real data such as amount of cargo handling in the port with respect to working hour, cargo capacity, working step, the ratio of cargo handling facility and actual number of workers and we estimated the required labor force. As a result of analysis the labor force of Pusan port showed the over-employment such as maximum 21.4%, minimum 8.2% when we assumed that the averages of actual working hours and days were 8 hours in a day and 20 day in a month.

비 직교 물성 모델을 이용한 복합재료 계란판의 압축거동 및 파손 (Compressive and failure behaviour of composite egg-box panel using non-orthogonal constitutive model)

  • 본 연구에서는 직조섬유복합재료를 이용한 계란판 모양의 시편에 대한 드래이핑 공정과 압축 해석을 비직교성 재료 모델을 이용하여 수행하였다. 비 직교 재료 구성 모델은 Xue 등이 2003년에 발표한 것을 상용 프로그램인 LS-DYNA에서 제공하는 사용자 부프로그램 (user subroutine)을 이용하여 본 연구에 적용하였다. 비 직교 재료 구성 모델에서 빙향성은 변형 기울기 텐서를 이용하여 계산하였고, 각 단계마다 재료 물성 행렬을 갱신하였다. 비 직교 물성 모델은 바이어스 인장 실험 결과와 비교 검증을 한 후에 계란 판 성형에 적용하였다. 계란 판 해석을 위해 본 연구에서는 열 성형 공정 (드래이핑)과 압축 해석을 수행하였다. 압축 해석을 위한 유한요소 모델은 드래이핑 해석으로부터 얻은 유한요소결과를 이용하여 구축하였다.

다문화학생을 위한 멘토링 활동 효과 : 논리모델을 중심으로 (Mentoring activity Effects for Multicultural Students : Using Logic Model)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 논리모델을 통해 다문화학생 멘토링 사업의 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 연구대상은 2014년 다문화 멘토링 사업에 참여한 I 대학교 멘토 40명에게 논리모델의 투입, 활동, 산출, 성과 등 네 단계에 따라 구성된 혼합형 질문지로 조사하여 내용분석 및 분류분석을 활용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 투입단계에서 멘토링 프로그램 홍보, 선발과정, 매칭 방법, 사전교육, 활동비 등에 대해 대부분 적당하다고 응답하였다. 둘째, 활동단계를 보면 멘토와 멘티의 첫 만남은 교사와 함께 이루어진 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 멘토링 활동은 80%가 학습지도로 진행되었으며, 인성지도와 체험활동이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 산출단계에서는, 대부분의 멘토가 멘토링 활동 시간, 기간, 장소가 적당하다고 응답했다. 마지막으로, 성과단계는 멘토와 멘티의 인지적, 정서적, 행동적 측면에서 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 멘토링 사업에 대한 체계적인 효과 검증이 가능하고, 향후 진행하게 될 사업을 위한 개선점을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

전동킥보드 통행분포모형 추정을 위한 적정 존단위 선정 연구 (How to Set an Appropriate Scale of Traffic Analysis Zone for Estimating Travel Patterns of E-Scooter in Transporation Planning?)

  • 정확한 전동킥보드 중장기수요예측은 지역별 수요공급 불균형 문제해결 및 MaaS 등 연계교통체계 마련을 위해 필요하다. 공유 전동킥보드의 지역별 발생-유입량을 예측하는 연구는 많지만, 공유 전동킥보드의 존간 통행분포를 예측하는 연구는 전무한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 공유 전동킥보드의 통행분포모형 추정을 위한 적정 존단위를 선정하고자 하였다. 분석 대상 존단위는 250m, 500m, 750m, 1,000m 정사각형 그리드로 설정하였다. 공유 전동킥보드 이용 이력 데이터는 각 공간 단위별 통행거리, 통행시간 계산 및 중력모형 도출을 위해 활용되었다. 평균제곱오차는 각 중력모형의 적정성을 검증하는데 활용되었다. 분석 결과, 250m 그리드가 실제 공유킥보드 통행분포를 가장 잘 묘사하는 것으로 나타났다.

Molecular Cloning and Characterization of a New cDNA Encoding Hyoscyamine 6β-hydroxylase from Roots of Anisodus acutangulus

  • A new full-length cDNA encoding hyoscyamine $6\beta$-hydroxylase (designated as aah6h, GenBank Accession No. EF187826), which catalyzes the last committed step in the scopolamine biosynthetic pathway, was isolated from young roots of Anisodus acutangulus by rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE) for the first time. The full-length cDNA of aah6h was 1380 bp and contained a 1035 bp open reading frame (ORF) encoding a deduced protein of 344 amino acid residues. The deduced protein had an isoelectric point (pI) of 5.09 and a calculated molecular mass of about 38.7 kDa. Sequence analyses showed that AaH6H had high homology with other H6Hs isolated from some scopolamine-producing plants such as Hyoscyamus niger, Datura metel and Atropa belladonna etc. Bioinformatics analyses results indicated AaH6H belongs to 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase superfamily. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that AaH6H had closest relationship with H6H from A. tanguticus. Southern hybridization analysis of the genomic DNA revealed that aah6h belonged to a multi-copy gene family. Tissue expression pattern analysis firstly founded that aah6h expressed in all the tested tissues including roots, stems and leaves and indicated that aah6h was a constitutive-expression gene, which was the first reported tissue-independent h6h gene compared to other known h6h genes.

Treatment Outcomes and Survival Study of Gastric Cancer Patients: A Retrospective Analysis in an Endemic Region

  • Purpose: To present information about prognostic factors of gastric cancer patients treated in our Erzurum center including age, gender, tumour location, pathological grade, stage and the effect of treatment on survival. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study was performed on patients who applied to our clinic and diagnosed as gastric cancer. Age and gender of the patients, primary location, histopathological characteristics, TNM stage of the gastric cancers (GCs), treatment applied, oncological treatment modalities and survival outcomes were studied. A univariate analysis of potential prognostic factors was performed with the log-rank test for categorical factors and parameters with a p value < 0.05 at the univariate step were included in the multivariate regression. Results: A total of 228 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of gastric cancer were included in the study with a male/female ratio of 1.47. Median follow-up period was estimated as 22.3 (range, 3 to 96) months. When diagnosis of the patients at admission was analysed, stage III patients were most frequently encountered (n=147; 64.5%). One hundred and twenty-six (55.3%) underwent surgical treatment, while 117 (51.3%) were given adjuvant chemotherapy. Median overall survival time was 18.0 (${\pm}1.19$) months. Mean overall survival rates for 1, 2, 3 and 5 years were $68{\pm}0.031%$, $36{\pm}0.033%$, $24{\pm}0.031%$and $15.5{\pm}0.036%$, respectively. Univariate variables found to be significant for median OS in the multivariate analysis were evaluated with Cox regression analysis. A significant difference was found among TNM stage groups, location of the tumour and postoperative adjuvant treatment receivers (p values were 0.011, 0.025 and 0.001, respectively). Conclusions: This study revealed that it is possible to achieve long-term survival of gastric cancer with early diagnosis. Besides, in locally advanced GC patients, curative resection followed by adjuvant concomitant chemoradiotherapy based on the McDonald regimen was an independent prognostic factor for survival.

ANFIS 접근방식에 의한 미래 트랜드 충격 분석 (Future Trend Impact Analysis Based on Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System)

  • TIA(: Trend Impact Analysis)는 발생될 가능성이 있는 미래의 예기치 못한 사건들을 식별하고 분석하기 위한 고급 예측 도구에 속한다. 적응적인 뉴로-퍼지 추론 시스템은 인공신경망의 일종으로 신경망과 퍼지 로직 원리를 모두 통합하고 보편적 추정되는 것으로 간주한다. 본 논문에서는 적응적인 뉴로-퍼지 추론 시스템을 사용하여 예기치 못한 사건에 관한 심각성의 정도를 추론하고 이를 시간의 함수로서 도입하여 예기치 못한 사건들의 출현 확률에 관해 보다 타당한 추정치를 얻는데 있다. 이러한 접근방식에 대한 배후 개념은 예기치 못한 사건이 갑자기 출현되는 것이 아니라 관련 사건이 가지고 있는 속성 값에 대한 건드림 혹은 변화가 기존 속성 값의 한계를 벗어나 마치 새로운 사건인 것처럼 등장할 수 있음을 전제로 하고 있다. ANFIS 접근 방식은 이러한 사건을 식별해서 예기치 못한 사건의 심각성의 정도를 추론하는데 매우 적절한 방식이라 할 수 있다. 속성들의 변화 값들은 확률적인 동적 모델 및 Monte-Carlo 방법을 사용하여 얻을 수 있다. 제안된 모델에 관한 타당성은 강 유역의 예상치 못한 가뭄에 따른 충격 추세 곡선을 기존 연구 결과와의 비교를 통해 나타낸다.

DEA-AR을 활용한 철도 컨테이너 화물역 효율성 분석 (An Analysis of the Efficiency of Korean railroad container freight station with Data Envelopment Analysis-Assurance Region (DEA-AR))

  • 우리나라의 교통정책은 도로에 편중되어 있어 상대적으로 철도의 물류기능은 현저히 약화되어 있다. 최근 유가상승 및 환경문제로 인해 철도가 부각되기 시작 했으며 정부 또한 철도에 투자를 많이 하고 있다. 철도는 2005년 철도공사화를 기점으로 철도역사에 큰 획을 그었으며 경영개선을 위해 다각도로 노력하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 공사화 전, 후의 효율성 추세를 알아보기 위해 우리나라 26개 철도 컨테이너 취급 화물역에 대해 2002년부터 2007년까지 역별 효율성과 효율성의 추세 및 안정성을 분석하였다. 효율성의 추정기법으로서 효율성 분석에 널리 사용되고 있는 DEA-AR(Data Envelopment Analysis-Assurance), DEA-Window 기법을 이용하였다. 효율성 분석결과에 의하면 윈도우2(2003-2005)은 윈도우1(2002-2004)에 비해 약간 효율성이 높아졌다가 이 후 윈도우3(2004-2006)까지 지속적으로 감소하였으며, 윈도우4(2005-2007)에 다시 상승하는 추세를 보여주었다. 전체적으로 효율성이 0.677로 낮은 수준을 보였으나 공사화 이후 경영개선 노력이 반영되는 일정 기간이 지난 후 부터는 효율성이 상승하는 추세를 보였다.
