A Scheduling System for the Patient Treatment on a Heavy-ion Radiotherapy

  • We have developed a scheduling system for heavy ion radiotherapy considering the condition of three treatment rooms and treatment planning for each patient. This system consists of a database (patient information, treatment method and machine schedule), a schedule for radiotherapy and WEB server. All operation of this system, such as data input, to change and to view the schedule, are performed by using a WEB browser. In order to protect personal information for the patients, access privilege to each information are limited by according to the occupational category. This system is connected with a hospital central information management system (AMIDAS) and an irradiation-managing computer for the heavy ion radiotherapy. A basic information for the patient is got from AMIDAS and the daily schedule sends to the treatment control computer at each treatment room through the irradiation-managing computer every morning. The daily, weekly, monthly schedules in the treatment room and the treatment condition of each patient are shared on the WEB browser with the all participants of the heavy ion therapy. This system could be useful to save a time to generate a treatment schedule and to inform us the most up-to-date treatment schedule and the related information at the same time.

Implementation of Automation Program and Efficient Cable Drum Schedule using Dynamic Programming Algorithm (동적 계획 알고리즘을 이용한 효과적인 케이블 드럼 스케줄 및 자동화 프로그램 구현)

  • Cable drum schedule is the final step for the electrical equipment of the power plant, and is assigned cables to efficiently cable drum. In this paper, we have implemented an automated program which cables are scheduled in accordance with the capacity of the cable drum for each cable code. Proposed cable drum schedule was applied to the dynamic programming algorithm to effectively solve the optimization problem, and the implemented program is conducted so as to verify the proposed model. The experiment results show that implemented program eliminates the errors that can occur existing method, so we were able to reduce the design time of cable drum schedule. Cables for the electrical equipment of the power plant is designed to at least 2 million units or more. Thus the automation program to provide applies, it is considered that the design time of the cable drum schedule can be greatly reduced without serious error.

  • As the construction site becomes larger, more complex and more special, the information of construction is expanded in quantity and specialized in quality. Therefore the computing system is necessary to effectively manage the construction schedule management. At present, main office at construction site bring in the computing system to perform the schedule management, so the data input and access for schedule management is performed by engineer on foot between construction site and main office. Therefore in this paper, we arrange wireless communication system between construction site and main of office and develop application program for data input and access of schedule management immediately using PDA at construction site. Through the our system we can improve the schedule management at construction site, and we can look forward to reduction of manpower, equipments, time, and money in whole construction.

  • The purpose of this study is developing scheduling logic and program for machining scheduling of automobile part production line with unbalanced processing time. Three rules are developed to minimize slack and effect on other job. Fourth rule is suggested which considered weighted sum of three factors. schedule is generated totally 1, 000 times and then optimal weight parameter is selected. The program is developed to schedule situation to compare with the performance measure, total finish time of machine and total tardiness of part. As a result, the rule which considered weighted sum of three factors is effective for both measure.

생쥐 초기배아에서 세포질내 요인에 의한 유전자 발현과 형태형성의 조절

  • 생쥐의 초기발생과정에서 배아 세포질의 제거로 nucleus/cytoplasm ratio를 증가시켰을 경우, 발생과 gene expression에는 영향을 미치지 않았으나 형태형성은 촉진되었다. 또, nucleus/cytoplasm ratio의 변화 없이 발생후기의 cytoplasm으로 일부 치환된 배아에서 발생과 gene expression, 형태형성은 모두 촉진되었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 초기배아의 gene expression과 형태형성과정에서 일어나는 time schedule의 조절은 nucleus/cytoplasm ratio가 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 않고 난자와 배아 내에 존재하는 cytoplasm factor에 의해 조절 받으며, 특히 형태 형성의 time schedule은 cytoplasmic factor와 이들에 의해 조절되는 물질의 상대적인 농도에 의해 조절될 것으로 여겨진다.

  • In this paper, we are proposed an analysis method of the operation schedule in FMS using Time Petri Nets(TPN) unfolding. TPN's unfolding is one of the analysis methods after changed non-cyclic net from the concurrent net without to expand the state explosion. We are illustrated this proposed to analyze a schedule problem in Ratio-driven FMS modeling.

  • There has been a lot of research on and release of commercial systems that enable evaluation and visualization of construction methods. These have enabled the selection of good construction plans. However, the process in which engineers build 3D geometry, formulate a schedule and eventually synchronize them is still a time-consuming process. Changing any aspect of the geometry or the schedule and re-linking them is also time-consuming. Therefore, the engineers may compromise on getting the best solution. This paper describes a technique to automate the generation of multiple sets of schedules, quantity takeoffs and 4D visualization from a single 3D model.

  • Compared to Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning Systems, Radiant Cooling Systems have the advantage of energy saving and thermal comfort. Thermally Activated Building System (TABS) is one of the radiant heating and cooling systems. The main difference between TABS and other radiant systems lies in the usage of the time-lag effect of storing heat energy in the concrete. Current energy usage in summer time is concentrated within a specific time by using Packaged Terminal Air-Conditioner (PTAC). Due to the time-lag effect of TABS, energy usage can be distributed to other time zones. To maximize this effect, it is important to determine the appropriate operating mode, which for TABS is dependent upon the cooling load generated by the occupancy schedule. In this study, occupancy schedules are determined for various residential types. The operating modes of TABS for these residential types are estimated by using a dynamic computational simulation method. The results indicate that the operating modes of TABS can be determined by residential type and occupancy schedule. The load handled ratio by TABS is set up differently according to the cooling load profile obtained from residential type and occupancy schedule. By using TABS, energy consumption could be reduced by 20% compared to PTAC.

Additional Freight Train Schedule Generation Model (화물열차 증편일정 결정모형)

  • Shippers' requests of freight trains vary with time, but generating an additional schedule of freight trains is not easy due to many considerations, such as the line capacity, operation rules, and conflicts with existing trains. On the other hand, an additional freight train schedule has been continuously requested and manually processed by domestic train operation companies using empirical method, which is time consuming. This paper proposes a model to determine the additional freight train schedule that assesses the feasibility of the added freight trains, and generates as many additional schedules as possible, while minimizing the delay of the existing schedules. The problem is presented using time-space network, modeled as multi-commodity flow problem, and solved using the column generation method. Three levels of experiment were conducted to show validity of the proposed model in the computation time.

Study on the Optimum Route Travel Time for Bus to Improve Bus Schedule Reliability (정시성 확보를 위한 버스노선 당 적정 운행시간 산정 연구)

  • The accurate forecasting of the public transportation's transit and arrival time has become increasingly important as more people use buses and subways instead of personal vehicles under the government's public transportation promotion policy. Using bus management system (BMS) data, which provide information on the real-time bus location, operation interval, and operation history, it is now possible to analyze the bus schedule reliability. However, the punctuality should always be considered together with the operation safety. Therefore, this study suggests a new methodology to secure both reliability and safety using the BMS data. Unlike other studies, we calculated the bus travel time between two bus stops by dividing the total travel length into 6 sections using 5 different measuring points. In addition, the optimal travel time for each bus route was proposed by analyzing the mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation of the each section's measurement. This will ensure the reliability, safety and mobility of the bus operation.
