  • In this study, a systematic and effective tuning method of the actuator control parameters of the control loading system for aircraft based on control theory is presented. Firstly, to raise the time response of the system, the proportional gain and the integral gain of the velocity control loop is maximized within the range where vibration and noise does not occur. And then the position control loop is composed by getting the transfer function of the control loading system including the velocity control loop. With the root locus of the composed position control loop, the proportional gain of the position control loop that keeps stable transient state and leads good time response of the system is predicted, and the simulations are performed by using the predicted gain. Lastly, the actuator control parameters of actual control loading system are set to the previously obtained gain values. And the experiments to actuate the control loading system are executed. It shows that the tuning method of the actuator control parameter proposed in this study is applied to actual control loading system very well by comparing the results of the experiments with those of the simulations.

  • This study investigated the shear stiffness of level of small strain with time effect. Time effect consists of rest time, loading rate of recent and current stress path. In addition, for the measurement of small strain, overconsolidated state was represented in a triaxial cell, and drained stress path tests were carried out. Test results show that the loading rate of recent stress path has no effects on the stiffness of very small strain, but the shear stiffness of level of small strain increases with it. Finally, the rest time and the loading rate of current stress path have the effects on the shear stiffness of initial and small strain.

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the vertical stress properties in sandy soil according to changes of loading type in soil bin compacted three layers. The following conclusions and comparisons have been made based on careful analysis from theoretical and experimental methods. : When sandy soil subjected to cycle-loading, compression of foundation and diffusion of vertical stress increment(${\Delta}{\sigma}_2$) were influenced by magnitude of loading plate. When sandy soil subjected to reloading after removing of pre-loading, the distribution of ${\Delta}{\sigma}_2$ depth at one time of loading plate width was different from its distribution at more deep point cause of load hysteresis, so in case of design of structure, the effect of ${\Delta}{\sigma}_2$ as depth must be considered. The increment of vertical stress will be different as loading condition and foundation depth, the loading condition must be considered in case of structure design.

  • We consider the transportation problem of optimizing the use of trailers and tractors. Several variants with fixed loading and unloading time are discussed. We show that the variant requiring on-time delivery can be solved in polynomial time, whereas the other variant requiring time-window delivery is NP-hard. We also discuss that if the number of loading and unloading operations assigned to each trailer or tractor is limited, even the variant requiring on-time delivery becomes NP-hard.

  • Taking a bledes axle of rotary tiller as a example, this paper discusses influences of four loading essential factors, which are strengthened amplitude, cycle times, loading sequence and loading frequency. in fatigue life. Determination principles of above four factors and monitoring methods of fatigue damage by local strain are dealt with. The actual field testing check of farm machinery is rapidly simulated by laboratory program fatigue test can shorten the period of development and improvement of a product. In the time of in-door simulation test, damage monitoring and four loading essential factors, which are strengthened amplitude , cycle times, loading sequence and loading frequency, have to be dealt with . If these problems are solved successfully, it is possible to accelerated test speed, reduce costs and manhours, and raise accuracy of test result. However strengthening method, loading pattern and influence of loading frequency on test result have not so far been discu sed systematically, damage monitoring is even more a difficult problem. Authors have studied above problems with the object of blades axle of rotary tiller.

  • Pick-up/delivery of consumer goods to offices, shops, and restaurants in order to support urban lives is one of the most vital activities in a city. With economic growth and technological innovation, a greater variety of goods have come to be supplied, and pick-up/delivery of consumer goods has become more complex. Efficient urban goods movement in Central Business District(CBD} starts with an efficient system for loading/unloading, and pick-up/delivery activities. Loading/unloading activity may be carried out on-street, or on especially designated space inside or outside buildings. Therefore, purpose of this study is to clarity the efficient urban goods movement in CBD(also called the pick-up/delivery activity) from the three different types of loading/unloading facilities. For this purpose, the differences in loading/unloading and truck-trip activity time of each loading/unloading facility was compared by performing the simulation analysis.

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the comparison of muscle activity and mechanical loading according to the angle of ankle joint during a sit-to-stand (STS) task. METHODS: Thirty-four young participants performed the STS in a randomized trial with the ankle joint at a neutral, 15 degrees dorsiflexion and 15 degrees plantarflexion angle in a fixed sitting posture with the knee in 105 degrees flexion. Muscle activity of the tibialis anterior (TA), rectus femoris (RF), biceps femoris (BF), and gastrocnemius medialis (GCM) was measured, and the parameters calculated in relation to mechanical loading were the STS-time, maximum peak, minimum peak, and total sum of mechanical loading. RESULTS: In the dorsiflexion position, the muscle activity of the TA and GCM showed a significant increase (p<.05), and the STS time, maximum peak and total sum of mechanical loading showed a significant difference compared to that in the neutral position (p<.05). In the plantarflexion position, the muscle activity of the RF and GCM showed a significant increase (p<.05), while that of the TA showed a significant decrease (p<.05) compared to that in the neutral position. And the minimum peak was significantly increased than the neutral position (p<.05), and the maximum peak and total sum of mechanical loading were showed significant difference compared with dorsiflexion position (p<.05). CONCLUSION: These results show that there is a difference in muscle activity and mechanical loading when performing the STS movement according to the change in the ankle joint angle.

  • Agricultural materials do not react in a purely elastic manner, and their responses when subjected to stress and strain are appeared from a combination of elastic and viscous behavior. Various researchers have studied the mechanical and rheological properties of the many agricultural materials, but those properties are available mostly foreign varieties of agricultural products. Rheological properties of rice seedlings become important to formulate the principles governing their mechanical behavior. The objectives of this study were to experimentally determine the stress relaxation properties of rice seedlings such as three Japonica-type and one Indica ${\times}$ Japonica hybrid in the transplanting age. The results of this study are summarized as follows; 1. The stress relaxation behavior could be described by the generalized Maxwell model. 2. The phenomenon of stress relaxation happened abruptly just after loading and this phenomenon weakened with the loading time lapsed. 3. With increase of the initial stress, the stress relaxation intensity and residual stress increased, while the relaxation time was constant with increased, while the relaxation time was constant with increase of the level of initial stress. 4. With increase of loading rate, the stress relaxation intensity increased, while the relaxation time and residual stress decreased.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the stability of mini-implants in relation to loading time. Methods: A total of 48 mini-implants (ORLUS, Ortholution, Korea) were placed into the buccal alveolar bone of the mandible in 8 male beagle dogs. Orthodontic force (200-250gm) was applied immediately for the immediate loading group while force application was delayed for 3 weeks in the delayed loading group. For the subsequent loading periods (3, 6, 12 weeks), BIC (bone implant contact) and BV/TV (bone volume/total volume) and mobility test were carried out. Results: The immediate loading group showed no changes in BIC from 3 to 12 weeks, while the delayed loading group showed a significant increase in BIC between 3 and 12 weeks (p<0.05). The BV/TO of the delayed loading group significantly increased from 6 to 12 weeks of loading (p<0.05), while the BV/TV of the immediate loading group decreased from 3 to 12 weeks of loading. However, there was no significant difference in BV/TV between experimental groups. The mobility of the immediate loading group was not significantly different from that of the delayed loading group after 12 weeks of loading (p<0.05). Conclusions: These results showed that immediate loading does not have a negative effect on the stability of mini-implants compared to the early loading method in both the clinical and histomorphometric point of view.
