  • The purpose of this study was to provide guidelines for the effective operation of Web-Based Training (WBT) for early childhood teachers. Based on content analysis and questionnaires administered to the 174 current trainees, this research analyzed (1) the educational effectiveness and learner satisfaction, (2) the operation and management, and (3) the system, interface, interaction and communication, motivation and content design of $WBT^{***}$. Results showed that most trainees were very satisfied with the WBT because the program provided plentiful professional information enabling them to pursue their educational objectives along with flexibility of time and space. On the other hand, system stability, communication, motivation, and content design need to be improved. • Restaurants have two strategic levers for revenue management: duration control and demand-based pricing. Reducing dining times, especially during peak periods, can add considerable revenue for restaurants. Managing meal duration, however, can be far more complex than manipulating the price. This paper examines dining duration expectations for restaurants types(Family, Korean, Quick service restaurant), customers characteristics(gender, age, occupation, meal period, visiting frequency, dining occasion, dining companions) using an a adaptation of a price sensitivity measurement tool, naming it 'Time Sensitivity measurement tool' or TSM. The TSM is then used to derive the optimal time points, and the range of acceptable times. The results demonstrate that there is a relatively wide spread of acceptable dining duration times in family restaurant. Furthermore, the optimal time points was shorter than the mean expected dining times, which suggests that many restaurants may be able to shorten dining duration without compromising customer satisfaction. The paper explores whether demographic and dining variables have an impact on time preferences, and finds whether gender, age, meal periods, visiting frequency, and dining companion effects are significant. Specifically, women in their thirties tended to prefer a significantly longer dining times for dinner.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a "Korean Childcare Teacher's Job Satisfaction Scale"(KCTJSS) and to evaluate its reliability and validity. KCTJSS was 72 items and 6 point Likert scale. Participants consisted of 211 childcare teachers by purposive sampling. Results were as follows: First, Exploratory factor analysis resulted in 40 items composed of 6 factors : The principal's childcare center operation system, working environments and welfare, social recognition, amount of work and time management, relationships with co-workers, relationships with parents. Second, the confirmatory factor analysis supported a 6 factor structure. Third, Criterion-related validity was confirmed by significant correlations of the present scale with Early Childhood Job Satisfaction Survey(Jorde-Bloom, 1989). Fourth, the reliability of factors using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ appeared high, ranging from .83 to .93.

The objective of the study was to investigate factors associated with happiness among senior citizens residing in rural areas using the 2017 National Survey of Older Koreans. Methods: A cross-sectional analytical study was conducted among 3,149 senior citizens living in rural areas using secondary data from the 2017 National Survey of Older Koreans. Happiness was measured by a single question and responses were recorded dichotomously. Descriptive and inferential statistics were computed at a 5% level of significance. Results: In all, 64.5% of the participants considered themselves as happy most of the time in the last 1 week. In the study, socio-demographic factors did not predict happiness except age. Satisfaction with a health status, financial situation, relationship with children, cultural satisfaction, and satisfaction with friends and society were positively associated with happiness among senior citizens residing in rural areas of Korea. Odds of reporting happiness were higher among those who traveled in the last 1 year, visited elderly welfare centers, and were involved in voluntary work than among those who did not. Conclusion: Happiness among senior citizen was significantly associated with life satisfaction with regard to health, finance, relationship with family, friends and society, and social activity participation.

  • In this paper, university hospitals, general hospitals/hospitals, private clinics, Chinese medicine hospitals and clinics in Seoul. Metropolitan Inchon, Kyunggi-do were probed to find out how the variables of service task factor are related to customer satisfaction, and to find out the determinants of medical service task(tangible quality, flexibility, cost, time and managerial skills), and anticipation factors, and respective items of customer satisfaction through statistical analysis. The meaning of the above mentioned findings should be carefully understood and construed due to the following problems. Because the factors why patients select hospitals were measured limitedly. it cannot show everything I intended to suggest. Especially due to the insufficient number if items. customer satisfaction variables are too limited. Reflecting the developing changes in various medical environments, hospitals could meet the objective of maintenance and prosperity only by facing the competition effectively and satisfying patients. Also hospitals should pursue patient-oriented service management. In other words, a strategic management of service task factors is needed. Based on this paper's research. a further study should be conducted continuously in order to give customers more satisfaction.

  • This study analyzes relevant data based on the mid-sized rental unit. It focuses on how we can set up appropriate mid-sized rental unit plan as its supply has been accelerated over time. The questionnaires used in this study cover a series of categories including site environment, unit plan, neighborhood, economy, and management. The 342 respondents are from the 3-year old apartments at Cheongju. The key findings are as follows. 1) As the average indices including number of family, life cycle, and income under the survey are different in terms of the rental unit sizes between 20 and 30 pyeongs. 2) In general, residents present comparatively high level of satisfaction in terms of residential environments. Their evaluation on the site environment unit plan, and neighborhood is around the average. In contrast, the economic and management efficiency categories are under the average. This study suggests residential guidelines should be derived from tenant differentiation policies dealing with diverse socio-demographic characteristics and satisfaction level. 3) In terms of improvement priority, residents present, higher preference on the management system and site environment. This study advises to establish an appropriate alternative to guarantee effective tenant participation. Considering the lower satisfaction level in the green space, common facilities, and resting space, this study also urges to secure quality control for desirable planning of the mid-sized rental apartments.

  • Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) techniques have been developed to provide a means for evaluating occupant responses to changes in an environment and linking this response to physical measures of that environment. POE has been used to systematically evaluate the performance of buildings after they have been built and occupied for some time. This paper present findings on factors (social and physical), which influences housing residential satisfaction of a sample of occupants in four different government Housing Subsidy locations in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. Descriptive statistics were carried out on the data obtained through the use of occupant survey. Findings emanating from the survey revealed that the respondents were satisfied with their overall housing situation, but had complaints about certain aspects of the housing unit. However, the respondents felt that most of their housing needs were not being met. Also, a comparison is also made of the perceived factors of dissatisfaction amongst the housing subsidy occupants. It is recommended that a wider systematic coverage of the subject through investigation and diagnostic POE and occupants need assessment should be carried in housing subsidy schemes in South Africa.
