A Survey was conducted to identify patrcis' eating behavior at the buffet styled restaurant during dinner time. The average frequency of taking food was 4.1±0.9 and this was statistically significant by age group. The frequency of taking food after satiety was 1.2±0.8. From the menu, 15 seafood items were the most popular which were chosen more than twice. The average of consumed food items was 24.9±8.9 out of 198. The average seafood items which were chosen by each individual was 5.8, desert items was 4.5, salad items with dressing was 4.2. The total weight of the consumed food was 954±365.1g. Mostly gruel, soup and saled chosen the first time. Alcholic beverages and drinks were chosen also first time. Seafood was chosen the 1.2 times and meat was chosen the first, second, and third time. Rice and soup. bread and noodles were chosen the second and third time. Desert was chosen the third time. The consumption of calories and nutrients were compared with the Korean Recommended Dietary Allowances. The average consumption of calories was 49.6% Korean RDAs, protein 71.4%, vitamin A 65.0%, thiamin 74.3%, riboflavin 71.8%, niacin 89.8%, ascorbic acid 72.7%, iron 68.1%, and calcium 108.3%. In one meal, the data shows over eating. The caloric consumption of desert was 275.5Kcal and seafood was 174.1Kcal. The protein consumption of seafood was 23.5g and meat was 7.5g. According to this research, customers have a lot of good chances to be exposed to the variety of food. This is desirable to correct the food habits with a experience. On the other hand, excessive food consumption is a problem. Therefore we suggest the provision of nutrition information about desirable order of eating a meal and the health problems due to overeating. We expect other research of nutritional evaluation in a meal in the different foodservice systems to be made in the future.

In this paper, the spatiotemporal data mining methodology for detecting a cycle of power consumption pattern with the change of time and spatial was proposed, and applied to the power consumption data collected by GIS-AMR system with an aim to use its resulting knowledge in real world applications. First, partial clustering method was applied for cluster analysis concerned with the aim of customer's power consumption. Second, the patterns of customer's power consumption data which contain time and spatial attribute were detected by 3D cube mining method. Third, using the calendar pattern mining method for detection of cyclic patterns in the various time domains, the meanings and relationships of time attribute which is previously detected patterns were analyzed and predicted. For the evaluation of the proposed spatiotemporal data mining, we analyzed and predicted the power consumption patterns included the cycle of time and spatial feature from total 266,426 data of 3,256 customers with high power consumption from Jan. 2007 to Apr. 2007 supported by the GIS-AMR system in KEPRI. As a result of applying the proposed analysis methodology, cyclic patterns of each representative profiles of a group is identified on time and location.

This study investigates the historical formation and characteristics of modern Korean consumption culture by reviewing previous literature about consumption spaces and conspicuous consumption in modern Korea. This study examined the historical formation and characteristics of three different periods of time: from 1876 to 1919, from 1920 to 1936, and from 1937 to 1945. In addition, the current study reviews previous literature related to advertising, poems, novels, historical events, and Orientalism. Based on this, the historical characteristics were also analyzed. The overall results were as follows: The first period from 1876 to 1919 was the beginning of modern Korean consumption culture, in which exotic goods such as foreign fabrics were preferred and consumed. In addition, clothing was simplified and westernized through modern reform. The second period of time, 1920 to 1936, was the development stage of modern Korean consumption culture that formed the foundation of modern consuming spaces where the recognition of the human form became more modern, and 'modern girls' styles appeared. The final period, 1937 to 1945, was the regression stage of Korean modern consumption culture, in which consumption decreased during the Sino-Japanese War and World War II. The results of this study' conclude that the leading-consumer items hold symbolic value as well as became signifiers within modern consumption spaces such as modern Korean department stores and that women were recognized as modern leading-consumers as shown by the dramatic increase in the number of products that targeted women.
This study investigated the patterns of transition of consumption patterns in Korean households in 2010 and 2017, and the impact of the life cycle on the transition of consumption patterns between the two time points. Using information on 4,717 households from the 2010 and 2017 data of the Korean Labor Panel Survey, we examined the effect of the family life cycle on changes in consumption patterns. The results of the latent transition analysis on the change in consumption type showed that the change in consumption type between the two points of time at the household level was relatively active. The logistic regression models reported that the transition of consumption type varies depending on the life cycle, such as changes in marital status, birth and independence of children. These results provide the implication that it is necessary to consider from the perspective of the family life course how the transition between their consumption types occurs when the government establishes consumption policies and companies set marketing target groups.
This paper proposes an efficient power consumption scheme using sleep mode in home gateway. The scheme by this paper classifies incoming real time packet and non-real time packet in home gateway and delay non-real time packet. Therefore, the home gateway can have longer sleep time because non-real time packet can get additional delay time by proposing mechanism using timer. We use non-preemptive two priority queueing model for performance analysis. As a results, we verify that power consumption of proposed scheme is reduced more than existing scheme by delay of non-real time traffic.
TPSN(Timing-sync Protocol for Sensor Networks), the representative of time synchronization protocol, has been already developed to provide time synchronization among nodes in wireless sensor networks. Even though the TPSN's method has been referenced by so many other time synchronization schemes for resource-constrained networks like wireless sensor networks or low power personal area networks, it has some inefficiency in terms of power consumption and network-wide synchronization time (or called convergence time). The main reason is that each node in TPSN needs waiting delay to solve the collision problem due to simultaneous transmission among competing nodes, which causes more power consumption and longer network convergence time for a network-wide synchronization. In this paper an improved scheme is proposed by changing message exchange method among nodes. The proposed scheme not only shortens network-wide synchronization time, but also reduce collision traffic which lead to needless power consumption. The proposed scheme's performance has been evaluated and compared with an original scheme by simulation. The results are shown to be better than the original algorithm used in TPSN.
We investigate an optimal retirement time and consumption/investment policy of a wage earner who expects to find a better investment opportunity after retirement by being freed from other work and participating fully in the financial market. We obtain a closed form solution to the optimization problem by using a dynamic programming method under general time-separable von Neumann-Morgenstern utility. It is optimal for the wage earner to retire from work if and only if his wealth exceeds a certain critical level which is obtained from a free boundary value problem. The wage earner consumes less and takes more risk than he would without anticipation of a better investment opportunity.

This paper presents the characteristics of low consumption, high-response time hot-film type micro-flowsensors with SOI(Si-on-insulator) and trench structures. Output voltages increased due to increase of heat-loss from sensor to external. Compared with no-trench on the SOI structure, the micro-flowsensors with trench structures have properties of high output voltage and low consume power. Output voltage of micro-flowsensors with SOI and trench structures was 250 mV at $N_2$ flow rate of 2000 sccm/min, heating power of 0.3 W. The response time was about 85 msec when input flow was step-input.
In recent years energy consumption has become a main concern for network development, due to the exponential increase of network traffic. Potential energy savings can be obtained from a load-adaptive scheme, in which a day can be divided into multiple time periods according to the variation of daily traffic patterns. The energy consumption of the network can be reduced by selectively turning off network components during the time periods with light traffic. However, the time segmentation of daily traffic patterns affects the energy savings when designing multiperiod logical topology in optical wavelength routed networks. In addition, turning network components on or off may increase the overhead of logical topology reconfiguration (LTR). In this paper, we propose two mixed integer linear programming (MILP) models to design the optimal logical topology for multiple periods in IP-over-WDM networks. First, we formulate the time-segmentation problem as an MILP model to optimally determine the boundaries for each period, with the objective to minimize total network energy consumption. Second, another MILP formulation is proposed to minimize both the overall power consumption (PC) and the reconfiguration overhead (RO). The proposed models are evaluated and compared to conventional schemes, in view of PC and RO, through case studies.

These days, mobile embedded systems adopt flash memory capable of XIP feature since they can reduce memory usage, power consumption, and software load time. XIP provides direct access to ROM and flash memory for processors. However, using XIP incurs unnecessary degradation of applications' performance because direct access to ROM and flash memory shows more delay than that to main memory. In this paper, we propose a memory management framework, dynamic XIP, which can resolve the performance degradation of using XIP. Using a constrained RAM cache, dynamic XIP can dynamically change XIP region according to page access pattern to reduce performance degradation in execution time or energy consumption resulting from native XIP problem. The proposed framework consists of a page profiler gathering applications' memory access pattern using PMU and an XIP manager deciding that a page is accessed whether in main memory or in flash memory. The proposed framework is implemented and evaluated in Linux kernel. Our evaluation shows that our framework can reduce execution time at most 25% and energy consumption at most 22% compared with using XIP-only case adopted in general mobile embedded systems. Moreover, the evaluation shows that in execution time and energy consumption, our modified LRU algorithm with code page filters can reduce more than at most 90% and 80% respectively compared with applying just existing LRU algorithm to dynamic XIP.
