This study is an example of a class of bibliotherapy through Lee Chung-joon's novel Snowy Road. Bibliotherapy proceeds through the process of identification, catharsis, output, insight, and application through reading. Through research, students objectively examine the situation of the character in the novel and compare it with their own situation. Students evaluate the situation of the character in the novel, experience the various life positions of the character in the novel by answering "What would you do if I were a character in the novel," and express their willingness to live differently from their lives. At the same time, I look into my relationship with my parents and seriously think about whether there is a problem and how to solve it if there is one. Through this process, students specifically suggest ways to think about and solve their emotions and problems. In the end, students' hurt feelings can be partially or sufficiently healed through reading. Through this study, it is expected that the method of bibliotherapy will be more concrete and develop in a positive direction.

Since the dimensions of MEMS gyroscope are very small compared to those of conventional gyroscope, MEMS gyroscope should be able to measure charge of pico-coulomb caused by very small change of electrodes gap. However, feed-through signal from driving electrodes to the sensing electrodes due to the electromagnetic coupling is much greater than the sensing signal, which degrades the sensitivity of MEMS gyroscope. This paper introduces the feed-through noise canceling technique using dummy port and confirms the feasibility of feed-through noise canceling experimentally. Experimental results shows that, when driving signal is 6 Vpp, 30 kHz, feed-through signal of vacuum packaged Si Gyroscope decreases from -53.2 dBm to -77.1 dBm by using feed-through reduction technique. Q-factor that could not be measured without noise reduction is measured to be about 2500 and resonance frequency to be 7.018 kHz.

This paper is to experimentally investigate the effect of the through-flow on the absorption performance of a perforated plate system. The experiment is performed through the systematic change of the through-flow velocity, incident sound pressure level, and the geometrical parameters such as the porosity and hole diameter. From the experimental results, it is found that fur the nonlinear relationship between the acoustic resistance and incident sound pressure level there is no influence of the through-flow on the absorption performance, but for the linear relationship between them there is a strong dependence of the absorption performance on the through-flow velocity. It is also shown that the absorption performance is controllable by changing the porosity and hole-diameter in size.
With the development of new technologies, virtual reality (VR) is emerging as a new consumer marketing platform. Yet, only a few studies have investigated VR in the consumption context. The current research explores how experiencing a product through VR influences consumer attitude and purchase intention for the product. Although assessing products in real life is believed to be more diagnostic than that through VR, the present research revealed that experiencing a product through VR could lead to a more positive attitude toward and higher purchase intention for the product. We also demonstrated that "enjoyment" has a mediating effect while evaluating the product through VR. To compare product experience through VR to that in real life, we employed the HTC Vive VR system to implement a VR environment. In the VR condition, participants evaluated plastic building blocks using a VR headset and a motion controller; and in the real life (reality) condition, they evaluted plastic building blocks printed using a 3D printer to make them look exactly the same as the blocks used in the VR condition. Finally, implications and suggestions are discussed.

Print-through is one of the most important attributes of print quality and has long been a subject to study. However, some aspects of print through are still in need to be enlighten. In this paper, different kinds of evaluating methods for print through are compared using densitometry, brightness, and image analysis. Printing conditions including ink feed, drying condition, and emulsification rate are systematically changed to effect print-through both on uncoated and coated commercial papers. Also several inks from different makers are introduced and compared in terms of print-through propensity. From the results, densitometry is not a good indicator for print through on the papers in this study. Ink feed has a strong effect on print through, especially for uncoated paper and should be considered in a point of optimum ink feed level in real world. Contribution of faster ink(oil) absorption seems to be more competitive than that of ink(oil) evaporation resulting in severer print-through for hot drying process. It is shown that ink-water emulsification rate increases print through at mild level but easy to decrease it with lower density due to the increase of water contents in emulsion. It is believed that the effect of absorption overwhelms that of density drop at mild emulsification level. This study does not include the effect of ink attributes in detail but shows that distinctive differences in print through may be resulted from various ink-makers and is finalized with some suggestions.
The information and communication technology (ICT) value creation process is inherently unobservable. In addition to the direct effect of ICT on productivity, some information or knowledge can create value through other knowledge activities. In this paper, we study the impact of ICT on productivity through R&D. We tested the mediating effect of R&D between ICT and productivity using panel data from 47 US industries from 1987 to 2013 from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The results show that R&D partially mediates ICT and productivity. That is, ICT directly increases productivity, and some of its effects can be realized through R&D. Recipients who acquire knowledge through ICT have to interpret codified ideas and apply them to practice. The increased absorptive capacity that can be developed through R&D improves interpretation ability, allowing employees to share more complex ideas. Thus, ICT helps people to effectively communicate, but some information and knowledge can be realized and applied through R&D knowledge activities. This is the first study empirically examining the process of ICT value creation through R&D. It also provides practical guidelines for knowledge management, such as making decisions about ICT and R&D investments that are better done concurrently rather than individually to maximize their impact on productivity.
Many tall buildings possess through-building gaps at middle levels of the building elevation. Some of these floors are used as sky gardens, or refuge floors, through which wind can flow with limited blockage. It has been reported in the literature that through-building gaps can be effective in reducing across-wind excitation of tall buildings. This paper systematically examines the effectiveness of two configurations of a through-building gap, at the mid-height of a tall building, in reducing the wind-induced dynamic responses of the building. The two configurations differ in the pattern of through-building opening on the gap floor, one with opening through the central portion of the floor and the other with opening on the perimeter of the floor around a central core. Wind forces and moments on the building models were measured with a high-frequency force balance from which dynamic building responses were computed. The results show that both configurations of a through-building gap are effective in reducing the across-wind excitation with the one with opening around the perimeter of the floor being significantly more effective. Wind pressures were measured on the building faces with electronic pressure scanners to help understand the generation of wind excitation loading. The data suggest that the through-building gap reduces the fluctuating across-wind forces through a disturbance of the coherence and phase-alignment of vortex excitation.
Recently the trend that human emotions become central is strongly on the rise beyond functions in the area of space. In the present situation, the current study is to examine the characteristics of experiential space of emotions through an approach to space appearing in kinetic art paying attention to the fact that the new spatial expressions and forms of Kineticism lie in introduction of 'movement' as a phenomenon that humans who are main agents of experiences can perceive. For research methods, spatial expressions were proposed according to each characteristic extracting characteristics to create space through 'movement' of Kineticism, and the features of experiential space of emotion were elicited by analyzing sensible elements and perceptual characteristics which stimulate human sensitivity through expressive aspects of 'movement' appearing in the case. As a result, it was found that characteristics appeared including immersion through non-daily stimulation, empathy through visual·perceptual stimulation, syn-aesthetic experiences through stimulation of thinking senses, and perceptual activation through physical movement etc. Namely, the present study has its meanings in seeking another directions and possibilities as emotional space to activate experiencers' diverse perceptions and senses by analyzing the characteristics of experiential emotional space through 'movement' of Kineticism which is one of modern plastic arts.
In order to specify the location of the scintillation pixel that interacted with gamma rays in the positron emission tomography (PET) detector, conventionally, after acquiring a flood image, the location of interaction between the scintillation pixel and gamma ray could be specified through a pixel-segmentation process. In this study, the experimentally acquired signal was specified as the location of the scintillation pixel directly, without any conversion process, through the simulation data and the deep learning algorithm. To evaluate the accuracy of the specification of the scintillation pixel location through deep learning, a comparative analysis with experimental data through pixel segmentation was performed. In the same way as in the experiment, a detector was configured on the simulation, a model was built using the acquired data through deep learning, and the location was specified by applying the experimental data to the built model. Accuracy was calculated through comparative analysis between the specified location and the location obtained through the segmentation process. As a result, it showed excellent accuracy of about 85 %. When this method is applied to a PET detector, the position of the scintillation pixel of the detector can be specified simply and conveniently, without additional work.
The purpose of this paper is to know the effects on number and operation abilities of the 1st grade children of elementary school by applying teaching and learning activity throught communication. For this purpose, we have studied according to the following procedure. 1. We divised teaching and learning model through communication and applied in the actual teaching and learning activity. 2. We investigated the effects of number and operations abilities of the 1st grade children by applying teaching and learning activity through communication. To accomplish this purpose, we applied learning activity through communication to the 1st grade of 40 elementary school children for about six months(September 1, 1999 ~ February 20, 2000). In process of applying this model, we collected all sorts of cases in the children's learning activity and investigated children's response on learning activity through communication, interview with children and researcher's observation. We applied the model through communication in class and compared with the traditional learning. 1. In learning through communication, children could solve the problem in themselves with a sense of responsibility. 2. It was impossible to find out the degree of children's comprehension in the explanatory learning. But in the learning through communication, it was a great help to individualize and plan the learning because children express their ideas clearly. It has conclusion as follows. The learning activity through communication has effected on forming number and operations abilities of the 1st grade of elementary school children importantly. 1. Children have improved in the abilities through communication to express their own ideas. 2. Children have studied with a sense of responsibility not in the teacher-oriented learning but in the self-directed learning 3. Children could find out the mathematical concepts in themselves - correcting false concepts, reguiding concepts by errors, finding invisible errors, solving problems variously and knowing the easy method. 4. The activity through communication in mathematics was a base of children's individual learning and important data of next learning plan. 5. The mathematical concepts formed through communication had a high transfer of learning. 6. Children have taken pleasure of discovery and had affirmative attitude about mathematics learning. We can make sure that number and operations abilities of the 1st grade children are formed by applying teaching and learning activity through communication. However, help and control of teacher have to be with it.
