The advanced computer network technology enables connectivity of computers through an open network environment. There has been growing numbers of security threat to the networks. Therefore, it requires intrusion detection and prevention technologies. In this paper, we propose a network based intrusion detection model using FCM(Fuzzy Cognitive Maps) that can detect intrusion by the DoS attack detection method adopting the packet analyses. A DoS attack appears in the form of the Probe and Syn Flooding attack which is a typical example. The SPuF(Syn flooding Preventer using Fussy cognitive maps) model captures and analyzes the packet informations to detect Syn flooding attack. Using the result of analysis of decision module, which utilized FCM, the decision module measures the degree of danger of the DoS and trains the response module to deal with attacks. For the performance comparison, the "KDD′99 Competition Data Set" made by MIT Lincoln Labs was used. The result of simulating the "KDD′99 Competition Data Set" in the SPuF model shows that the probe detection rates were over 97 percentages.
Purpose This study aims to investigate the factors that influence decision making in relation to providing personal information on the internet with respect to the integration of the privacy calculus theory and protection motivation theory based on the dual-calculus model proposed by Li(2012). Design/methodology/approach The privacy calculus theory and protection motivation theory have been applied to explain privacy behavior to a certain degree but few studies have been conducted to explain privacy behavior based on the integration of these two theories. Although Li(2012) proposed the dual-calculus model, he only proposed its framework and did not carry out an empirical study. Therefore, this study proposes a research model that integrates these two theories and examines the relationship between the two theories through an empirical study. Findings According to the results of empirical analysis, it was found that all relations have statistically significant explanatory power except the relation between coping appraisal and privacy risk in the risk calculus process. Thus, the results verify that external threat played a decisive role in increasing the risk level of a consumer's privacy. It can be discussed the ways to enhance the privacy behavior of consumer on the internet through these findings.
This paper presents a new method driving multiple robots to their goal position without collision. To consider the movement of the robots in a work area, we adopt the concept of avoidability measure. The avoidability measure figures the degree of how easily a robot can avoid other robots considering the velocity of the robots. To implement the concept to avoid collision among multiple robots, relative distance between the robots is proposed. The relative distance is a virtual distance between robots indicating the threat of collision between the robots. Based on the relative distance, the method calculates repulsive force against a robot from the other robots. Also, attractive force toward the goal position is calculated in terms of the relative distance. These repulsive force and attractive force are added to form the driving force for robot motion. The proposed method is simulated for several cases. The results show that the proposed method steers robots to open space anticipating the approach of other robots. In contrast, since the usual potential field method initiates avoidance motion later than the proposed method, it sometimes fails preventing collision or causes hasty motion to avoid other robots. The proposed method works as a local collision-free motion coordination method in conjunction with higher level of task planning and path planning method for multiple robots to do a collaborative job.
Shipping industry continues to face dramatic changes in its environment ranging from development in containerization, computerization and telecommunications to the emergence of global marketplace. Perhaps the most significant trend - representing both a threat and opportunity - is the increasingly competitive nature of shipping service market. In order for the shipping companies to cope with those improvements and challenges, they should analyze and clarify customer's DM(decision making) process for the purchase of container shipping service. The major research findings from the study were found as follows; 1) The degree of shipper's involvement in purchasing shipping services was found to be a discriminating variable affecting the information sources consisting of personal and non-personal information sources. 2) The positive relationship was found between the experiences on shipping services and non-personal information sources. 3) It was observed that as people had more experience searching for information, the more in depth their searches became. 4) There existed a positive relationship between knowledges on shipping services and information search. 5) According to the SEM analysis, the shipper's information search on shipping services was also found to have a great influence on the shipper's purchasing behavior. The shipper's search was resulted in positive customer satisfaction.

Social engineering attack means to get information of Social engineering attack means to get information of opponent without technical attack or to induce opponent to provide information directly. In particular, social engineering does not approach opponents through technical attacks, so it is difficult to prevent all attacks with high-tech security equipment. Each company plans employee education and social training as a countermeasure to prevent social engineering. However, it is difficult for a security officer to obtain a practical education(training) effect, and it is also difficult to measure it visually. Therefore, to measure the social engineering threat, we use the results of social engineering training result to calculate the risk by system asset and propose a attack graph based probability. The security officer uses the results of social engineering training to analyze the security threats by asset and suggests a framework for quick security response. Through the framework presented in this paper, we measure the qualitative social engineering threats, collect system asset information, and calculate the asset risk to generate probability based attack graphs. As a result, the security officer can graphically monitor the degree of vulnerability of the asset's authority system, asset information and preferences along with social engineering training results. It aims to make it practical for companies to utilize as a key indicator for establishing a systematic security strategy in the enterprise.
Rockburst disasters pose serious threat to mining safety and underground excavation, especially in China, resulting in massive life-wealth loss and even compulsive closed-down of some coal mines. To investigate the mechanism of rockbursts that occur under a state of static forces, a stress model with sidewall as prototype was developed and verified by a group of laboratory experiments and numerical simulations. In this model, roadway sidewall was simplified as a square plate with axial compression and end (horizontal) restraints. The stress field was solved via the Airy stress function. To track the "closeness degree" of the stress state approaching the yield limit, an unbalanced force F was defined based on the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion. The distribution of the unbalanced force in the plane model indicated that only the friction angle above a critical value could cause the first failure on the coal in the deeper of the sidewall, inducing the occurrence of rockbursts. The laboratory tests reproduced the rockburst process, which was similar to the prediction from the theoretical model, numerical simulation and some disaster scenes.

The COVID-19 global health crisis has affected the mental and psychological health and well-being of the people around the world. However, little is known about the impact of COVID-19 among Filipino teachers. This study was conducted to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life (QoL) of professional teachers in the Philippines. A descriptive cross-sectional study was used involving 139 licensed professional teachers. The COVID-19 Impact on Quality of Life (COV19-QoL) was the primary measure used in this study. Descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA were the statistical tools employed to analyze the data. Results indicated a moderate COVID-19 impact on the QoL of the teachers. There was a significant difference in the impact of COVID-19 on QoL by degree program. However, the impact of COVID-19 on QoL did not significantly differ by age, sex, marital status, employment status, monthly salary, presence of a COVID-19 case near their residence, personal knowledge of someone who was infected or died of COVID-19, presence of a medical condition, and perceived threat. The psychological well-being and QoL of teachers must be recognized and teachers must be provided with support as they continue to adapt to the impact brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study contributes to the growing literature on the impact of the pandemic.
Purpose: The industrial sector, especially in developed countries, is seen as the primary threat to sustainability. As a result, contemporary organizations prioritize establishing sustainable business practices. This sustainability can be achieved by organizations being concerned with their external environments, which is referred to as going green. This study aims to provide a green logistics network design to explain how to attract green consumers. Research design, data and methodology: This study conducted a comprehensive process to obtain textual dataset in the current literature and finally the author could collect total 26 relevant prior studies to achieve the purpose of the study. All dataset was thoroughly screened and selected for the high-degree of validity. Results: Based on the intensive literature review, the author insists that the four findings presented in this study will be useful as they provide evidence of the importance of technology in achieving global sustainability.in the situation we face that technology has become an important part of human life. Conclusions: This study provides meaningful insights into the environmental strategies that organizations across the world can implement to achieve a green supply chain based on the solutions in this study. The strategies presented in this study are evidence-based and have been tested through different studies.

The COVID-19 pandemic poses a serious threat to health and safety worldwide, significantly adding to the work burden of fire officials. Fire officials experience high levels of physical and mental pressure in various situations, and such stress can lead to psychological exhaustion. The goal of this study is to investigate the level of psychological exhaustion among fire officials according to gender, age, and years of service and specific roles. In this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted on fire officials in various regions of Korea, and the degree of psychological exhaustion by position was analyzed. The results indicated a difference in the level of psychological exhaustion across different roles, such as fire suppression, rescue, and emergency services. In particular, paramedics exhibited higher levels of psychological exhaustion compared to those in rescue, fire suppression, and administrative roles. This study contributes to identifying specific measures to improve the mental health of fire officials and emphasizes the need for differentiated stress management and support programs tailored to each role. Based on the results, this research provides foundational data to address the mental health issues of fire officials and will contribute to future research and policy development.
The Fundamental purpose of the Warsaw Convention was to establish uniform rules applicable to international air transportation. The emphasis on the benefits of uniformity was considered important in the beginning and continues to be important to the present. If the desire for uniformity is indeed the mortar which holds the Warsaw system together then it should be possible to agree on a worldwide liability limit. This liability limit would not be so unreasonable, that it would be impossible for nations to adhere to it. It would preclude any national supplemental compensation plan or Montreal Agreement type of requirement in any jurisdiction. The differentiation of liability limits by national requirement seems to be what is occurring. There is a plethora of mandated limits and Montreal Agreement type 'voluntary' limits. It is becoming difficult to find more than a few major States where an unmodified Warsaw Convention or Hague Protocol limitation is still in effect. If this is the real world in the 1980's, then let the treaty so reflect it. Upon reviewing the Warsaw Convention, its history and the several attempts to amend it, strengths become apparent. Hijackings of international flights have given rise to a number of lawsuits by passengers to recover damages for injuries suffered. This comment is concerned with the liability of an airline for injuries to its passengers resulting from aviation terrorism. In addition, analysis is focused on current airline security measures, particularly the pre-boarding screening system, and the duty of air carriers to prevent weapons from penetrating that system. An airline has a duty to exercise a high degree of care to protect its passengers from the threat of aviation terrorism. This duty would seemingly require the airline to exercise a high degree of care to prevent any passenger from smuggling a weapon or explosive device aboard its aircraft. In the case an unarmed hijacker who boards having no instrument in his possession with which to promote the hoax, a plaintiff-passenger would be hard-pressed to show that the airline was negligent in screening the hijacker prior to boarding. In light of the airline's duty to exercise a high degree of care to provide for the safety of all the passengers on board, an acquiescene to a hijacker's demands on the part of the air carrier could constitute a breach of duty only when it is clearly shown that the carrier's employees knew or plainly should have known that the hijacker was unarmed. A finding of willful misconduct on the part of an air carrier, which is a prerequisite to imposing unlimited liability, remains a question to be determined by a jury using the definition or standard of willful misconduct prevailing in the jurisdiction of the forum court. Through the willful misconduct provision of the Warsaw Convention, air carrier face the possibility of unlimited liability for failure to implement proper preventive precautions against terrorist. Courts, therefore, should broadly construe the willful misconduct provision of the Warsaw Convention in order to find unlimited liability for passenger injuries whenever air carrier security precautions are lacking. In this way, the courts can help ensure air carrier safety and prevention against terrorist attack. Air carriers, therefore, would have an incentive to increase, impose and maintain security precautions designed to thwart such potential terrorist attacks as in the case of Korean Air Lines Flight No.858 incident having a tremendous impact on the civil aviation community. The crash of a commercial airliner, with the attending tragic loss of life and massive destruction of property, always gives rise to shock and indignation. The general opinion is that the legal system could be sufficient, provided that the political will is there to use and apply it effectively. All agreed that the main responsibility for security has to be borne by the governments. I would like to remind all passengers that every discovery of the human spirit may be used for opposite ends; thus, aircraft can be used for air travel but also as targets of terrorism. A state that supports aviation terrorism is responsible for violation of International Aviation Law. Generally speaking, terrorism is a violation of international law. It violates the soverign rights of the states, and the human rights of the individuals. I think that aviation terrorism as becoming an ever more serious issue, has to be solved by internationally agreed and closely co-ordinated measures. We have to contribute more to the creation of a general consensus amongst all states about the need to combat the threat of aviation terrorism.
