  • In the past, it. was very difficult to distinguish thermal and non-thermal emission. Broadbent et a1. (1989) has developed a new technique with the help of the IRAS 60 micron emission. The distribution of non-thermal or synchrotron emission in the Galactic disk has been modeled from the 408 MHz all sky survey of Haslam et a1. (1982) after removal of the thermal component.. At. 408 MHz, t.here is very little absorption in the interstellar medium and the distribution along the line-of-sight. is inferred mainly from its presumed relationship to other tracers of spiral structure via a. number of fitted parameters. But. at lower frequencies, free-free absorption becomes important and can give some direct. information on the line of sight. distribution. We have modeled the thermal electron density according to the spiral arm models and the distribution of ionized hydrogen in the Galactic plane by Lockman (1976) and Cersosimo et. al. (1989) and have made predictions to compare with the surveys of Dwarakanath et al. (1990) at. 34.5 MHz and .Jones and Finlay (1974) at 29.9 MHz. The result confirms that the absorption model of the synchrotron emissivity in the Galactic plane is broadly corrected and illustrates the potential of the absorption technique.

  • The extreme steam temperature deviation experienced in the superheater of a tangentially fired boiler can seriously affect its economic and safe operation. This temperature deviation is one of the main causes of boiler tube failures. The steam temperature deviation is mainly due to the thermal load deviation in the lateral direction of the superheater. The thermal load deviation consists of several causes. One of the causes is the non-uniform heat flow distribution of burnt gas on the superheater tube system. This distribution is very difficult to measure in situ using direct experimental techniques. So, we need thermal load model to estimate the tube temperature. In this paper, we propose a thermal load distribution model by using CFD analysis and plant data. We successfully predict the tube temperature and the steam flow rate in a final superheater system from the thermal load model and one dimensional heat-flow system analysis. The proposed model and analysis method would be valuable in preventing the frequent tube failure of the final superheater tubes.

  • This purpose of this work is to explore the characteristics of urban thermal environment distribution with the case of Daejeon. To do that, this work applied GIS Spatial Statistics to the LandSAT images gathered from 2000 to 2011. The urban thermal environment distribution at the time point of 2 showed high spatial autocorrelation. Therefore, it is judged that spatial autocorrelation is needed to increase the reliability and explanatory power of the characteristics of thermal environment distribution. In the case of the thermal in Daejeon, its positive clustering appeared high at the time point of 2, and its clustering in 2011 more gradually decreased than that in 2000 to 2011. In particular, given the decrease in the core H-H region, it was found that the thermal environment of Daejeon was greatly improved. However, since the rise in the region L-L means another changed like construction of a new city, it is judged that it is necessary to come up with a proper plan. It is considered that this analysis of the characteristics of urban thermal environment distribution in consideration of spatial autocorrelation L-L be useful for providing a fundamental material necessary for the policy and project of thermal environment improvement.

  • This paper introduces an improved shear deformation theory for analyzing the buckling behavior of functionally graded plates subjected to varying temperatures. The transverse shear strain functions employed satisfy the stress-free condition on the plate surfaces without requiring shear correction factors. The material properties and thermal expansion coefficient of the porous functionally graded plate are assumed temperature-dependent and exhibit continuous variation throughout the thickness, following a modified power-law distribution based on the volume fractions of the constituents. Moreover, the study considers the influence of porosity distribution on the buckling of the functionally graded plates. Thermal loads are assumed to have uniform, linear, and nonlinear distributions through the thickness. The obtained results, considering the effect of porosity distribution, are compared with alternative solutions available in the existing literature. Additionally, this study provides comprehensive discussions on the influence of various parameters, emphasizing the importance of accounting for the porosity distribution in the buckling analysis of functionally graded plates.

  • This paper describes controller design and implementation method for controlling the temperature distribution in a thermal stratified wind tunnel(TSWT) by using a neural network algorithm. It is impossible to derive a mathematical model of the relation between heat inputs and temperature outputs in the test section of the TSWT governed by a nonlinear turbulent flow. Thus inverse neural network models with a multi layer perceptron structure are used in a feedforward control loop and feedback control loop to generate an arbitrary temperature distribution in the test section of the TSWT.

  • Power system has been improved during for a long time by customers demand. Power suppliers has researched the power system component for more electricity transmission. One of the research is apply the thermal conductors in new cable. The operational temperature of thermal conductors is higher than normal aluminum that thermal conductor is composed of aluminum, Zr(zirconium) and etc. Increase of operational temperature is growth of the transmission capability. Power suppliers was concerned about the increase of operation temperature by thermal conductors. Therefore, the thermal conductor has the possibility that expanded application in power system. In this paper analysed effect of thermal conductor in power distribution system.

  • The best methods for distribution controled of LED lighting fixtures is control to designed LED chip array, lens and reflector. However, lens design need distribution design to reflector for low-wattage LED lighting because of difficulty of production and reduction of light efficiency. In addition, it needs maximize of thermal performance to improve the efficiency and reliability of device. As a result, for the height of reflector 40[mm] and Inclination 25[$^{\circ}$], we can see the best distribution properties, and, in the thermal properties, junction temperature MCPCB 62.9 [$^{\circ}C$], FR4 PCB 89.6 [$^{\circ}C$], FR4 PCB from Via-hole is 63.1 [$^{\circ}C$]. it may improve for thermal properties for makes the Via-hole.

  • The correlation between crack propagation and localized recrystallization are compared in a series of cross section analyses on thermal cycled edgebond and underfilm material applied wafer level chip scale package (WLCSP) components with a baseline of no-material applied WLCSP components. The results show that the crack propagation distribution and recrystallization region correlation can explain potential degradation mechanisms and support the damage accumulation history in a more efficient way. Edgebond material applied components show a shift of damage accumulation to a more localized region, thus potentially accelerated the degradation during thermal cycling. Underfilm material applied components triggered more solder joints for a more wider distribution of damage accumulation resulting in a slightly improved thermal cycling performance compared to no-material applied components. Using an analysis on localized distribution of recrystallized areas inside the solder joint showed potential value as a new analytical approach.

  • This paper presents a composite camera calibration method to determine thermal degradation of power distribution equipment by combining an infrared (IR) camera and a color camera. A calibration jig was first constructed to match the properties of the two cameras. Our calibration and visualization techniques allow for the display of two images, one from the color camera and the other from the IR camera with different field of views (FOVs), on the screen at the same time. To confirm its validity, several case studies have been developed to analyze thermal deterioration limits of indoor and outdoor power distribution facilities.

  • As the power density and switching frequency increase, thermal analysis of power electronics system becomes imperative. The analysis provides valuable information on the semiconductor rating, long-term reliability. In this paper, thermal distribution of the Non Punchthroug(NPT) Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor with heatsink areas has been studied. For analysis of thermal distribution, we obtained results by using finite element simulator, ANSYS and compared with experimental data by thermocam.
