19C was a chaotic time of Chosun dynasty, in order to make society stable, the scholas of Chosun wanted to define themselves as a little China on the east", to understand themselves as part of China and somehow they thought it will help for Koreans to understand who they really are. This "Chosun as a little China" idea is their spritual foundation and also the to understand who they are. From 16 C, Chosun had idea of "being a little China, so when Hwaseo talked about this idea, it was not new to the people and scholars in Chosun, however in Hwaseo's theory, the idea was more defined and realistic. In 19 C Chosun dynasty, the chaos caused by absece of fundimental principle was great, the scholars agreed Hwaseo's "Chosun as a little China" theory should be the foundational principle. Therefore, the problem of understanding and communicating about the west has to be reconcidered, because that was what they wanted to have as foundation before the comunication with west. Scholas of Chosun wanted to set their foundation before they often up their country to the west so they needed time to discuss this. In 19 C Japan on the other hand, they faced same chaos that Chosun experienced, however they went totally different way, because Japan unerstood the reallity and accepted western civilization. Specially, the latter period Mito study influenced to make that decision by changing the west from what they have to defeat to what they have to respect and copy. Both Chosun and Japan focused on making thier countries stronger, but Chosun found the answer in focusing on orthodox confucianism and Japan found the answer in making the military stronger. That is why these two countries went totally different ways in the history of 19-20 C North-east Asia.
Studies in key account management (KAM) have identified the importance of cross-functional coordination in firms to effectively implement KAM. However, these studies have ignored how companies integrate KAM and other customer management (non-KAM). This paper explores coordination design between KAM units and non-KAM units by analyzing a case study through three dimensions: front-end coordination, back-end-coordination, and organizational translation at the beginning of research. The case study shows that non-KAM conditions can require a modification of the coordination design. This research performs an in-depth analysis of changes in the implementation of sales reforms for an IT-related machinery and system vendor in Japan. Data sources include interviews with KAM units and non-KAM sales units and an analysis of secondary data. This paper suggests that studying the coordination between KAM units and non-KAM units will further our understanding of internal coordination in KAM research.
Elimination of dangerous points is the most effective method for safety in mechanical equipments. The next effective method is recognized as isolation and/or safe-guarding of dangerous spots from human beings. With progress of mechanical automation technique such as industrial robots, the need for safe-guard-ins is now being enlarged. It is needless to say that when a machine-guard is designed and installed, a comprechensive understanding of human movement is indispensable. But in this country, there is no scientific for those thems, and no one verifield whether it is valid to apply general guideline such as OSHA's to Korean or not. Further, basic anthropometric items for safety reach standards are neither availble nor included in nation-wide anthropometry project. In this research, human anthropometry data of Korean youngsters are analyzed for safety barrier and safety slit width, and compared with guidelines of other countries-Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, and USA. Though they are standards for safety, since they are based upon their own peoples' data, some of them especially foot reach are not not applicable in this country. It should be notified that careful application of numeric value is very important.
To realize a traditional music recognition system, some characteristics pertinent to Far East Asian music should be found. Using Spectrogram, some distinct attributes of Korean traditional music are surveyed. Frequency distribution, beat cycle and frequency energy intensity within samples have distinct characteristics of their own. Experiment is done for pre-experimentation to realize Korean traditional music recognition system. Using characteristics of Korean traditional music, $94.5\%$ of classification accuracy is acquired. As Korea, Japan and China have the same musical roots, both in instruments and playing style, analyzing Korean traditional music can be helpful in the understanding of Far East Asian traditional music.
Objective : To construct a comprehensive understanding of thepharmaceutical efficacies of ginseng, then build a basis for a research strategy for development of Korean ginseng as a globally-competitive medical product. Methods : Surveying literature, we found 1690 ginseng-focused papers in Pub-Med. Analysis of was done of number of reports according to date, nation, components of Panax ginseng, research methods, and effects of ginseng. Results : The main countries contributing toginseng research are China, Korea, Japan and America. Recently, ginseng-related studies have been increasing, and individual compounds from ginseng or its products rather than ginseng itself are subjects for study. Anti-cancer associated or neuroprotective effects showed priority in therapeutic efficacy. Panax ginseng was the focus of around 60% of all ginseng-related studies, but only 22% of them were done in Korea. Conclusion :This review will help Korean doctors or scientists to systematically understand ginseng as a powerfulherbal medicine, and to develop Korean ginseng as a globally competitive drug in world markets.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the operational case of gap year which can explore about guidance in some times before college entrance or during college life in the universities of main nations(England, American, and Japan) and draw from some implications for possibility of it's introduction in Korean university. It means that before students enter the college after finishing high school, they have various guidance activity and voluntary service activity for experiencing self-understanding out of regular curriculum. The study analyzed four universities in America, two universities in England, and one university in Japan. The main results indicate that the gap year can divide into system and university assisting finance. Based on the results and their implications of gap year case analysis in universities of England, America, and Japan, the study suggests that it needs to consolidate the related system of university and assist some finances, and systematic steps such as career exploration, career decision-making, career plan, and career preparation should be constructed.
We report about the international cooperative activities for the engineering education between a German University and a Japanese University. After the experiences for 15 years of cooperation, both in research and student exchange, we learned a lot about the differences between these two educational systems. This report summarizes the differences and the future perspective for the improvement of engineering education based on the understanding of the differences, including advantages and disadvantages, between two educational systems.

Since the Shimane Prefecture government in Japan enacted "Takeshima Day" in March 2005, it has held commemorative ceremonies with Japanese politicians present each year on February 22. Japan has marked Dokdo as its territory in elementary and middle high school textbooks, and the number of such references has been increasing in recent years. Shimane Prefecture, which is the area nearest to Dokdo is strengthening Dokdo education in its geography classes at elementary and middle schools as part of regional studies. The study and education on Dokdo was begun by social studies teachers in the Oki Islands in Shimane Prefecture, but now extends throughout the prefecture. The auxiliary educational materials regarding Dokdo produced in Shimane Prefecture include teaching guidelines for teachers, worksheets for students, CDs containing statistics and picture files, and two kinds of DVD movie clips for each grade. In particular, schools teach the damage to the Japanese fishery industry caused by Korea's illegal occupation of Dokdo. This will likely form anti-Korean sentiments among Japanese students. It is hoped that Korean and Japanese scholars will work together to develop Dokdo auxiliary textbooks in order to improve the correct historical understanding of Dokdo.
