A Multi-Node Channel Rendezvous Algorithm in Cognitive Radio Ad-hoc Networks (인지 무선 애드혹 네트워크에서의 멀티노드 채널 랑데부 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we focus on the study of multi-node rendezvous on one common channel among multiple channels before transmitting in CRAHNs (Cognitive Radio Ad-hoc Networks) for the efficient use of inefficient frequency resources. Most existing researches have dealt with the channel rendezvous between two nodes. But, it can be time-consuming to apply them to three or more nodes. In addition, it cab be impossible to communicate with each other. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a Multi-Node Sequence (MNSEQ), which allows three or more nodes to rendezvous on a single common channel in a short period of time. And, CSMA/CA was applied for data exchange after rendezvous. By performance evaluation through very extensive simulations, we have demonstrated that the proposed MNSEQ outperforms the existing scheme in terms of communication completion time and transmission efficiency.

  • This paper introduces a smart door system composed of security system and secretary system. As ratio of single households increase, the security of household became more important. Also already there were a lot of artificial intelligence secretary system based on voice called smart home technology. But It has limits. It can not work without user's requests. That mean it is not automatic. And the voice recognition depend on user's pronounce. Thus in this paper, we design and develop smart door system that is added function of security and secretary. That can inform users that there are outsider in front of their house in real time. Also that can speak information such as user's requirements, delivery and weather information using TTS. As a result they can prevent crimes and use convenient secretary system.

  • A Distributed Translator Network(DTxR) is a cost-effective and frequency-effective method which can use existing transmission utilities and can be constructed in a shorter time as compared with Multiple Frequency Network(MFN) or Single Frequency Network(SFN) using On Channel Repeater(OCR). In order to verify the feasibility of DTxR, this field test was done in 30 points of north-west area in Seoul using 3rd, 5th, and 6th generation DIV receivers. Electric field strength, noise margin and ease of reception were measured and subjective evaluation of video quality was done in these points during the field test. With the test result, an improvement of receiving quality was obtained and an ease of reception was increased in case of the 5th. and 6th. receiver. From the results, we conclude that DTxR is a feasible method in DIV networks.

  • Ionosphere, one of the largest error sources, can pose potentially harmful threat to single-frequency GNSS (global navigation satellite system) user even after applying ionospheric corrections to their GNSS measurements. To quantitatively assess ionospheric impacts on the satellite navigation-based applications using simulation, the standard deviation of residual ionospheric errors is needed. Thus, in this paper, we determine conservative statistical quantity that covers typical residual ionospheric errors for nominal days. Extensive data-processing computes TEC (total electron content) estimates from GNSS measurements collected from the Korean reference station networks. We use Klobuchar model as a correction to calculate residual ionospheric errors from TEC (total electron content) estimate. Finally, an exponential delay model for residual ionospheric errors is presented as a function of local time and satellite elevation angle.

  • Thromboelastography(TEG) enables a global assessment of hemostatic function to be made from a single blood sample, documenting the interaction of platelets with protein coagulation cascade from the time of the initial platelet-fibrin interaction, through platelet aggregation, clot strengthening and fibrin cross linking to eventual clot Iysis. Thirty-five patients(mean age 34$\pm$ 12) undergoing open heart surgery from April 1st, 1996 to August 31th, 1996 were investigated at preoperatively and immediate, one hour, and 24 hours after cessation of cardiopulmonary bypass using TEG. Comparisons were made between classic hematological indices and TEG data. There were statistically significant correlation between maximal amplitude(MA) and platelet count before CPB, activating clotting time(ACT) and TEG date(R time, K time and a angle) at 24-hour after CPB. The data on the predictive accuracy for postoperative bleeding at 24-hour after CPB, the TEG was significantly better than ACT(57%) or the coagulation profiles(43%) as a predictor of postoperative bleeding, with an accuracy rate of 100% (P=0.0043). In conclusion, TEG seems to be easy to use, clinically accurate, cost effective and provides data which can effectively manage a patient's hemostasis.

  • An electrically conductive and transparent electrode was created by applying a dispersion of pristine single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and silver nanowires to a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film using a bar coating method. The SWCNTs were added to increase the electrical conductivity and transmittance of the silver nanowires while also preventing the haze from increasing due to the stacking of multiple layers containing SWCNTs and silver nanowires on the PET substrate. The silver nanowires in the electrode were also found to be stable against oxidation. The transparent electrode displayed excellent electrical and optical properties, with a sheet resistance of 47 Ω/□, transmittance of 96.72%, and haze of 1.93%. Additionally, the sheet resistance of the electrode remained stable over time, with a change of only 6.4% after a constant temperature and humidity test, making it suitable for long-term use. A hybrid transparent electrode that is economically feasible and environmentally sustainable has been developed through the utilization of pristine SWCNT and silver nanowire.

  • KOINONIA is high-rate Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) technology, and is developed for multimedia traffic transmission in personal area. A KOINONIA piconet is a collection of one or more associated slaves under a single master. Efficient scheduling of a master for the traffic of slaves is essential to use channel effectively and to guarantee QoS of multimedia traffic. We propose a new scheduling algorithm to allocate channel time at desired intervals regardless of superframe length, and a Connection Admission Control(CAC) algorithm to regulate the number of traffics in a piconet. Our proposed algorithms have been shown to save channel time and to meet QoS requirements compared to the conventional weighted round-robin algorithm.

  • In general, an ordinary CCTV camera has equipped with 24 frames per second. This camera is not capable of capturing an image of bullet trace which has speed about 1km per second. In spite of these difficulties, by means of the stereographical projection, a long distance trace is able to be contained in one image. Currently, to capture a series of image of an object with high speed, it is usual to use one of the complicated camera with high shutter speed or computerized devices with capability of controlling shutter timing with slightly different capture time. This paper proposed a monitoring tracer bullet single camera system equipped convex mirror trying to see whether or not a normal set of camera and convex mirror is capable of shooting on target located in as far as 250m.

  • A stochastic approach using continuous time Markov process is presented to model the one-dimensional nuclide transport in fractured rock media as a further extension for previous works[1-3]. Nuclide transport of decay chain of arbitrary length in the single planar fractured rock media in the vicinity of the radioactive waste repository is modeled using a continuous time Markov process. While most of analytical solutions for nuclide transport of decay chain deal with the limited length of decay chain, do not consider the case of having rock matrix diffusion, and have very complicated solution form, the present model offers rather a simplified solution in the form of expectance and its variance resulted from a stochastic modeling. As another deterministic way, even numerical models of decay chain transport, in most cases, show very complicated procedure to get the solution and large discrepancy for the exact solution as opposed to the stochastic model developed in this study. To demonstrate the use of the present model and to verify the model by comparing with the deterministic model, a specific illustration was made for the transport of a chain of three member in single fractured rock medium with constant groundwater flow rate in the fracture, which ignores the rock matrix diffusion and shows good capability to model the fractured media around the repository.

  • The business environment of enterprises could be difficult to obviate redundancy to filtrate data source occurred on data integrated to standard rules and meta-data and to produce integration of data and single viewer in geographical and spatial distributed environment. Specially, To can interchange various data from a heterogeneous system or various applications without types and forms and synchronize continually exactly integrated information#s is of paramount concern. Therefore data hub system based on SQL/XMDR message to overcome a problem of meaning interoperability occurred on exchanging or jointing between each legacy systems are proposed in this paper. This system use message mapping technique of query transform system to maintain data modified in real-time on cooperating data. It can consistently maintain data modified in realtime on exchanging or jointing data for cooperating legacy systems, it improve clarity and availability of data by providing a single interface on data retrieval.
