In spite of the usefulness of migration statistics in spatially understanding social processes and identifying social effects of spatial processes, services and analyses of the statistics have been restricted due to the complexity of their data structure. In addition, flow mapping functionality which is a useful method to explore and visualize the migration statistics has yet to be fully represented in modern GIS applications. Given this, the purpose of this research is to demonstrate the possibility of flow mapping and the exploratory spatial analysis of the migration statistics in a Web GIS environment. For this, the characteristics of the statistics were examined from database, GIS, and cartographic perspectives. Then, O-D structure of the migration statistics was converted to spatial data appropriate to f low mapping based on the characteristics. The interface of Web GIS is specialized the migration statistics and provides exploratory visualization by allowing dynamic interactions such as spatial focusing and attribute filtering.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a child abuse prevention education program for parents. Furthermore, the aim was to investigate the impact of child abuse prevention education on parents' response to positive emotion, parenting stress, and potential for child abuse. Methods: A randomized controlled pretest posttest design was used. A total of 60 participants, who were parents with children aged 1~5 and attending 8 nurseries and kindergartens located in Daegu, were recruited. They were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). The collected data were analyzed by an independent t-test, paired t-test, and χ2-test along with descriptive statistics using IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0. Child abuse prevention education for the experimental group included four modules on child rights, understanding child abuse, proper child discipline, and positive parenting attitudes. Results: The experimental group showed a significant difference in positive rumination from the control group (t=2.15, p=.036). The experimental group reported a significant difference in dampening from the control group (t=-2.49, p=.016). Additionally, the experimental group reported a significant difference in parenting stress from the control group (t=-2.12, p=.038) and also reported significant differences in child abuse potential from the control group (t=-2.26, p=.028). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that child abuse prevention education for parents can improve positive rumination, reduce dampening, and reduce parenting stress and child abuse potential. Therefore, this study is useful in demonstrating how parental susceptibility to child abuse can be decreased. Future studies should pursue long-term programs and counseling programs.

Method : The employees of 'S' construction company and its subcontractor are surveyed during the period of April 15 from May 15 in 2016. The 324 questionnaires are statistically analyzed with the version 21.0 of SPSS. The general characteristics were calculated through the frequency analysis and descriptive statistics. The difference in safe consciousness between prime and subcontractor employee group was analyzed using t-test. Result : The statistics shows the employees in the prime company tend to observe the safe rules rather than the subcontractor employees(p<.005), but the latter are more conscious of safety in working environment than the former(p<.005). In addition, the subcontractor company did not provide his employees with the site for the safety-health education. Conclusion : The small-sized subcontractor company should identify its employees' requirements and supplement the lack of the safety and health education for the prevention of the industrial disasters. In details, the hand-on and practice-oriented leaning and teaching program development are suggested.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the educational satisfaction of trainees in implementing violence prevention education by workers in the emergency room and insufficient education. Methods: The participants of the study were 65 emergency room employees in S area. Results: First, education was helpful if you actively participated in education, and if you did not actively participate in education, education was shown to be of little or no help (χ2(p)= .000 p-value<.05). Second, formal education (53.3%) was identified as the problem of preventive education currently in place of education, and statistics show that the biggest problem with applying emergency room violence prevention education at worksites is a lack of active support (41.7%) from the police and hospitals. Third, 48.3 percent of the respondents thought that the education methods invited experts were appropriate for emergency room violence prevention education. Conclusion: The problem with the current emergency room violence prevention education is that it is necessary to establish a connection program between hospitals and police stations and give lectures by experts in violence prevention education to apply the contents of the educational curriculum in the workplace with one time and formal education.
