The Impact of Perceived Brand Globalness on Brand Attributes Evaluation: focusing on the Moderating Role of Thinking Style about Causality (소비자의 브랜드 글로벌성 인식이 브랜드 속성 평가에 미치는 영향: 인과관계에 대한 사고방식의 조절역할을 중심으로)

  • The study examined moderating role of thinking style about causality in the relationship between the perceived brand globalness(PBG) and the brand evaluation. Thinking style about causality is divided into interactionism and dispositionism. Individualism culture shows a tendency of thinking style about causality to dispositionism, and collectivist cultures shows a tendency for interactionism. We conducted a survey on Korean college students who represent collectivist cultures and foreign students from countries of individualistic culture and analyzed data through structural equation modeling. Analysis result showed that the higher the respondents perceived PBG, the higher they perceived brand quality, brand quality, and brand price. However, it showed that PBG has greater positive effects on perceived brand quality and perceived brand reputation among Korean students than students from individualistic cultures. On the other hand, the effects of PBG on perceived brand price did not show any significant difference between Korean students and students from individualist cultures. Thus, we can conclude that thinking style about causality plays a moderating role in the relationship between PBG and perceived brand quality and brand reputation, while it does not do so between PBG and perceived brand price.

A Study on Factors Affecting the Relationship between User's Organizational Citizenship Behaviors and Intention of ERP Extension Usage: Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Absorptive Capacity and Perceived Usefulness (ERP 사용자의 조직시민행동과 확장이용의도 간의 관계에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 흡수역량과 지각된 유용성의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study is an empirical study on the relationships among organizational citizenship behaviors, absorptive capacity, performance of using ERP(perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and intention of ERP extension usage). In particular, mediating effect of absorptive capacity and perceived usefulness is empirically analysed to find causes and impacts among these variables. In order to achieve the goals of this study, research models were proposed and hypothesis were drawn to test on the basis of previous studies. A survey was conducted to the members of the seven organizations such as manufacturers, distributors and service industry. The survey questionnaires were sent to 400 people and 304 of them were returned. This data was analyzed with SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. The study results are as follows. There were no direct effects of the organizational citizenship behaviors on the performance of using ERP. The organizational citizenship behaviors had a positive effects on the absorptive capacity. The absorptive capacity had also a positive effect on the performance of using ERP and the perceived ease of use. The perceived ease of use had a positive effect on the perceived usefulness and the intention of ERP extension usage. Futhermore, the perceived usefulness had a positive effect on the intention of ERP extension usage. In addition, there was a full mediating effect of the absorptive capacity on between the organizational citizenship behaviors and the performance of using ERP. The perceived usefulness had a partial mediating effect on between the perceived ease of use and the intention of ERP extension usage.

Influences of Motivations on Interactivity in the Live Streaming Commerce

  • Purpose: This study focuses how motivations influence interactivity in the live streaming commerce context. Live streaming commerce involves the provision of e-commerce activities and transactions via a live streaming platform that offers real-time interaction, entertainment, social activities, and commerce. The purpose of study is to examine effects of motivations on perceived interactivity and the effects of perceived interactivity on attitude and intention to use the live streaming commerce. Research design, data and methodology: The study investigates key questions about consumers' motivation to use live streaming commerce and perceived interactivity by surveying 300 users of live commerce. Participants were asked whether they were live streaming commerce users who had experienced live streaming commerce before participating in the survey. The full survey required live streaming commerce users to respond to all the questions. Results: The study uncovered motivations for using live streaming commerce by finding information, entertainment, pass time, fashion/status and real time and perceived interactivity in the live streaming commerce. The results indicated motivation to use live streaming commerce positively influenced perceived interactivity. Perceived interactivity had positive effects on attitude toward brand. Attitude toward brand had positive effects on intention to use. Conclusions: Live streaming commerce is getting increasing attention from marketers because live streaming commerce has seamlessly integrated commerce, social activities, and hedonic factors. This study clarifies motivations and perceived interactivity in the live streaming commerce context. The study uncovers the relationships between motivations, perceived interactivity, attitude, and intention to use that contributes to the theoretical foundation and practical implications for marketing and management in the live streaming commerce context. Specifically, the study develops the theoretical contributions to perceived interactivity in the in the live streaming commerce context. The results also contribute to the practical implications for new marketing strategies that provides dynamic real-time interaction, exact information, and social and hedonic factors to attract consumers to indulge in the consumption processes. Marketing practitioners will obtain insights that can help them develop and manage brand strategies by understanding the influence of motivation and perceived interactivity in the live commerce context, which offers opportunities for contactless marketing and management.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the causal relationships among knowledge management system(KMS) quality, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and continuance use of KMS. The results of data analysis by structured equation model(SEM) indicate that KMS quality significantly influences individual's perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Perceived ease of use affects individual's perceived usefulness on KMS. Individual's perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness affect on the creation of a positive attitude, and attitude affects continuance use of KMS. Based on the results, theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.

  • This study aimed to identify that the physical environment of a food service company has influenced on the perceived service quality, menu quality and customer satisfaction. To achieve the purpose of this study, it reviewed the theoretical background about the physical environment, the perceived service quality, the perceived menu quality and customer satisfaction. Moreover, this study conducted a corresponding empirical analysis. For the empirical analysis, a questionnaire was given to a total of 275 regular restaurant customers at Busan area. The results of the empirical analysis were shown as follows. 1) The components of physical environment of a service company are the attractiveness, cleanliness, space & convenience and the ambient factor of physical environment. 2) For the attractiveness of the physical environment, cleanliness and the ambience factors of the physical environment have influenced on the perceived service quality and menu quality. 3) The perceived service quality has influence on the perceived the menu quality. 4) The perceived service quality and the menu quality have influence on the customer satisfaction.

Perceived Value and Perceived Risks on the Entrepreneurial Intentions of College Students Majoring in Art (창업의 지각된 가치와 위험이 예술전공 대학생 창업 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study tried to understand the effect of the perceived value and perceived risks of start-up on the entrepreneurial intentions of college students majoring in the arts, and analyzed the difference between the start-up experience of family and the degree of entrepreneurial intention according to the sub-major. Studies have shown that the perceived value of a startup has a significant impact on the intention of starting a business, and among the perceived risk factors of a startup, financial risk has a significant impact on the intention to start a business, but social risk factors and career risk factors do not have a significant impact. In addition, among the sub-majors in the art department, the craft major was found to have a higher entrepreneurial intention than other majors, and college students who indirectly experienced the start-up of their family had higher entrepreneurial intentions than college students who did not, and the presence or absence of the entrepreneurial experience of family had a modulating effect in the relationship between the perceived value and the perceived risks on the entrepreneurial intention.

  • This study proposed a research model that can explain the usage intentions of users and non-users by considering the performance aspects of personal mobility and external environmental factors based on the SOR (Stimulus-Organism-Response) model, A survey was conducted targeting domestic users and non-users, and research models and hypotheses were verified through Partial Least Square (PLS) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the users' perceived satisfaction and perceived trust had a positive effect on their intention to use, and that perceived risk and environmental value had a significant relationship with perceived satisfaction and perceived trust. For non-users, it was found that there was a positive correlation between perceived satisfaction and intention to use, and it was verified that perceived risk and environmental value, like users, were significant antecedents of perceived satisfaction and perceived trust. Among the remaining variables, the perceived mobility of users and the perceived ease of use of non-users were respectively presented as important influencing factors on perceived satisfaction.

  • Today, the development of internet brings many changes in formation exploration and acceptance. Not only the customers can come into contact much information about the firm and its product by quick and easy search, but also they produce information by themselves or can spread the information via the internet. Nowadays, customers are progressive information explorer and producer on online. In this sense, this study examined the effects of e-word-of-mouth information characteristics on the consumer's perceived usefulness and perceived acceptance of e-word-of-mouth information in the food service industry in order to suggest directions to enhances marketing strategies for marketer. The research model for this study was designed based on the hypothesis that the characteristics of e-word-of-mouth information and credibility of the information influenced both the user's perceived usefulness and acceptance. Based on total 277 customers obtained from the empirical research, this study reviewed validity, reliability and fitness of research model. The analysis results on these factors are as follow. First, the characteristics of e-word-of-mouth information; vividness, consensus, direction had an influence on the customer's perceived usefulness. Second, the characteristics of e-word-of-mouth information; vividness, consensus, direction had an influence on the customer's perceived acceptance. Third, the reliability of information had an influence on the customer's perceived usefulness and the credibility of e-word-of-mouth information perceived acceptance. Fourth, the customer's perceived usefulness had an influence on the customer's perceived acceptance.

  • The speed and magnitude of mobile phone adoption is a recent worldwide phenomenon akin to those of the television in the middle of the 20th century and the Internet in the late 20th century. During the 2000s, mobile phone adoption was exploded and subscriptions reached 3 billion around the globe. Korea and Japan have been ahead of the rest of the world in introducing new handset and service capabilities. They were the first markets to launch 3G services and are currently the only markets to have achieved mainstream adoption of 3G with over one-third of customers in both markets subscribing to 3G services. The purpose of this article is to explore the cultural similarities and differences associated with mobile mail by presenting findings from a cross-cultural comparison of perceptions and uses of the technology. The results of the study are as follows:Of the characteristics that make up the mobile text-messaging service in Korea, a person's perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment was found to have a positive effect on use attitude. Among the characteristics that make up a person's perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment was found to have a positive effect on use intention. And use attitude was found to have positive effects on use intention. But, of the characteristics that make up the mobile text-messaging service in Japan, a person's perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment were found to have a positive effect on use attitude. Among the characteristics that make up a person's perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment were found to have a positive effect on use intention. And use attitude was found to have positive effects on use intention. This study contributes to telecommunications research by delineating the various stimuli to consider for successful technology acceptance in a global setting, which can account for differential impacts across regions. The findings of this study can assist telecommunications operators in formulating an effective region-specific strategy when launching a wireless data service in a particular environment.

The Relationships among Brand Experience, Customer Perceived Value, and Brand Support Behavior in Service Industry (서비스 산업의 브랜드 체험, 고객의 지각된 가치, 브랜드 지지행동의 관계)

  • Purpose - The importance of customer experiences has been increasing in retail industry as wells as theme park industry. The purpose of this research is to investigate relationships among brand experience, customer perceived value and brand support behavior in theme park industry. Furthermore, we tried to examine the moderating effects of interaction with customers in the relationships between brand experience and customer perceived value. Besides, we provided some implications for not only the theme park industry but also other service industries such as retail industry. Research design, data, and methodology - The research model has nine hypotheses, and we examined them empirically in this study. Five hypotheses were about relationships among theme park brand experiences, customer perceived value, and brand support behavior. The other four hypotheses were about the moderating effects of customer interactions in the causal relationship between brand experiences and customer perceived value. A total of 167 samples who had visited the theme park were surveyed and the hypotheses were tested with the statistical package programs such as SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Results - The results of this study are as follows. First, it was proved that theme park visitors' sensory experience, emotional experience, and cognitive experience have significant positive effects on perceived value, although the hypothesis about the causal relationship between behavioral experience and perceived value is not supported. Second, the customer perceived value has a positive effect on brand support behavior. Third, customer interaction has a positive moderating effect between brand experiences and perceived value, except for behavioral experience. Conclusions - Based on the results of this study, there can be following significances and implications from both theoretical and practical perspectives. First, we confirmed the importance of experiential marketing in other service industries such as retail industry as well as the theme park industry. The marketing managers in these industries need to design various experience programs considering the various characteristics of experiences such as sensory, emotional, and cognitive experiences. Second, it will be necessary for the theme park managers to encourage active participation of customers, and raise the level of interaction between employees and customers.
