'정신은 뼈다'와 무한 판단의 문제 ('The Spirit is the bone' and the problem of the infinite judgement)

  • 헤겔은 "정신현상학"의 '이성' 장의 '관찰하는 이성'을 마무리하는 부분에서 '정신은 뼈다'라고 말하고, 이것이 '무한 판단'이라고 말했다. 본 연구는 이 판단의 의미를 밝히기 위해 특별히 다음과 같은 점을 주목하고자 한다. 첫째는 "정신현상학" '이성' 장에서 등장하는 '정신은 뼈다'는 판단에 대한 다양한 해석을 소개하고 비교 검토한다. 이러한 검토를 통해 "정신현상학"에서 이 판단이 갖는 의미를 이해하고자 한다. 둘째는 '무한 판단'의 의미와 관련한 칸트와 헤겔의 해석 차이를 살피고자 한다. 헤겔은 분명히 칸트가 말할 때의 '무한 판단'의 형식(S는 비(非)P)을 넘어 내용상으로 이해하는 측면이 크다. 헤겔이 이처럼 단순한 형식을 넘어서 내용상으로 확장하려한 이유를 해명하지 못한다면 헤겔이 말하는 무한 판단의 의미를 제대로 이해할 수 없을 것이다. 아울러 이 글은 단지 "정신현상학"에 한정하지 않고 "엔치클로패디"와 "대논리학"의 '현존재의 판단'에 나오는 '무한 판단'의 의미도 고려하고자 한다. 셋째, '정신은 뼈다'는 판단과 무한 판단에 관한 다양한 해석들을 검토하고 있다. 이러한 해석 중 특별히 이 문제를 정신분석학과 연관 지은 지젝의 해석에 주목한다. 우리는 주로 그의 해석을 검토하면서 그것이 칸트와 헤겔의 무한 판단의 의미를 얼마나 잘 드러내고 있는가를 고찰하고자 한다.

  • This study has analyzed the meaning of observation time in the course of acquiring the information of subjects who observed the space of hall in subway stations to figure out the process of spatial information excluded and the features of intensive searching. The followings are the results from the analysis of searching process with the interpretation of the process for information acquirement through the interpretation of observation area and time. First, based on the general definition of observation time, the reason for analyzing the features of acquiring spatial information according to the subjects' observation time has been established. The feature of decreased analysis data reflected that of observation time in the process of perceiving and recognizing spatial information, which showed that the observation was focused on the enter of the space during the time spent in the process of observing the space and the spent time with considerable exclusion of bottom end (in particular, right bottom end). Second, while the subjects were observing the space of hall in subway stations, they focused on the top of the left center and the signs on the right exit the most, which was followed by the focus on the both side horizontally and the clock on the top. Third, the analysis of consecutive observation frequency enabled the comparison of the changes to the observation concentration by area. The difference of time by area produced the data with which the change to the contents of spatial searching in the process of searching space could be known. Fourth, as the observation frequency in the area of I changed [three times -> six times -> 9 times], the observation time included in the area increased, which showed the process for the change from perception to recognition of information with the concentration of attention through visual information. It makes it possible to understand that more time was spent on the information to be acquired with the exclusion of the unnecessary information around.

한국의 초등 과학 교과서 생명영역에 나오는 탐구 주제 및 생물 재료에 대한 초등 예비교사들의 인식 분석 (The Analysis of Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Perception on Biology Inquiry Subjects, and biology Materials in the Korea Elementary School Science Textbook)

  • The aim of this study was to analyze a group of pre-service elementary teachers experience on the cognitive terms of biology inquiry subjects, and experience on living materials related with the domain of life in the Korea elementary school science textbook. Firstly, elementary school pre-service teachers had the confidence of inquiry subjects related with the domain of life such as 'when we take breath what will happen in human body?' and 'Can we make the model of human body?' But they did have the most diffidence of 'The search for pieris rapae, a cabbage butterfly's life', 'Can we grow the little creature?' The reason why pre-service elementary teachers had diffidence of comprehending experiment procedure and planning ability was that 'they focused on understanding the scientific concepts instead of planning experiments by themselves', and 'they carried out the least amount of experiments' Secondly, elementary school pre-service teachers had never experienced biology materials related with the domain of life in the Korea elementary school biology science textbook such as 'tradescantia reflexa', 'Caddis larva', 'hydrilla verticillata', and 'Plantain lily.' According to the findings obtained from the study, the reason why they had never seen the biology materials was that they had the least opportunity of immediately observing life creatures due to memorization-intensive classes.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand underlying principle to form the U-type folk house in the northwestern part of Kangwha Island by viewpoint of inner residents. It is found that many factors other than climate are coincidentally affecting the shape of house; Resident's fixed thought like following geomancer' suggestion, seeking fortune, and locating house enclosed low site; Economic reason of uniting one house with two buildings and making small type by used timber from dismantled house; Centralizing life with small courtyard by reason of family type change from extended to nuclear; Influence from L or ㅁ type of upper class building at Seoul area. The method is thick description of culture with ethnographic method from cognitive anthropology: Observing the form and restoring residents' life with open-ended deep interview.

Development of KHU Automatic Observing Software for McDonald 30inch telescope (KAOS30)

  • Automatic observing is the most efficient system for sky surveys that image many targets over large areas of the sky. Such a system requires the integrating control software that systematically manages astronomical instruments that are not connected to each other. In February of 2017, we installed a wide-field 10 inch telescope for Supernovae survey on the McDonald 30 inch telescope as a piggyback system. However, during the observations, information such as target coordinates could not be exchanged with the telescope mount. The reason is the program that controls the telescope control system (TCS) and the program that controls the imager operate on independent PCs. KAOS30 is an integrated observing software developed to improve this environment. The software is composed of four packages that are the Telescope Control Package (TCP), the Data Acquisition Package (DAP), the Auto Focus Package (AFP), and the Script Mode Package (SMP). The TCP communicates to the TCS and also communicates weather information. SMP supports automatic observing in a script mode, which improves the efficiency of the survey. KAOS30 was developed based on Visual C ++ and runs on the Windows operating system. It also supports the ASCOM driver platform for various manufacturers. The instruments that support ASCOM can be installed without modification of the program code. KAOS30 can be applied as software for many different telescopes in future projects.

초등 과학 영재의 과학 탐구 능력 평가 사례 연구 : 관찰 및 추리, 실험 설계, 결론 도출 능력을 중심으로 (A Case Study on the Evaluation of Scientific Inquiry Ability of Elementary Scientifically Gifted Students : Observing and Inferring, Designing an Experiment, and Concluding)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등 과학 영재들을 위한 과학 탐구 능력 평가 문항을 개발하고 이를 초등 과학 영재들에게 적용하여 그 활용성에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 과학 탐구 능력 평가 문항은 실험 기반의 형태로 '식물의 구조와 기능' 단원의 식물 관다발 구조에 대한 것으로 관찰 및 추리, 실험 설계, 결론 도출 영역으로 구성되어 있다. 그리고 평가 문항의 채점 기준은 관찰 및 추리 영역의 경우 쌍떡잎식물과 외떡잎식물의 관다발 배열과 구조, 물관의 위치, 잉크에 식물을 담가 두는 이유 등의 요소를 가지고 상세화하였다. 실험 설계 영역의 경우 식물해부 방법, 실험 과정 구성 등을 요소로, 결론 도출영역의 경우는 실험 결과에 대한 예상, 예상과 결과에 대한 비교와 검증 등으로 상세화하였다. 이렇게 개발된 과학 탐구 능력 평가 문항을 대학부설 과학영재교육원에서 교육받고 있는 22명의 초등 과학영재들에게 적용하였다. 그 결과 과학영재들에게 활용 가능성이 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • It is well known that the trend of water demand in large-size water supply systems has been suddenly changed, and many expansions of water supply facilities become unnecessary. To be cost-effective, thus, politicians as well as many professionals lay stress on the adaptive management of water supply facilities. Failure in adapting to the new trend of demand is sure to be the most critical reason of unnecessary expansions. Hence, we try to develop the model and modeling procedure that do not depend on the old data of demand, and provide engineers with the fast learning process. To forecast water demand of Seoul, the Bayesian parameter estimation was applied, which is a representative method for statistical pattern recognition. It results that we can get a useful time-series model after observing water demand during 6 years, although trend of water demand were suddenly changed.

Dependence of the lithium ionic conductivity on the B-siteion substitution in $(Li_{0.5}La_{0.5})Ti_{1-x}M_xO_3$

  • The dependence of the ionic conductivity on the B-site ion substitution in (Li0.5La0.5)Ti1-xMxO3 (M=Sn, Zr, Mn, Ge) system has been studied. Same valence state and various electronic configuration and ionic radius of Sn4+, Zr4+, Mn4+ and Ge4+(4d10(0.69$\AA$), 4p6(0.72$\AA$), 3d10(0.54$\AA$) and 3d3(0.54$\AA$), respectively) induced the various crystallographic variaton with substitutions. So it was possibleto investigate the crystallographic factor which influence the ionic conduction by observing the dependence of the conductivity on the crystallographic factor which influence the ionic conduction by observing the dependence of the conductivity on the crystallographic variations. We found that the conductivity increased with decreasing the radii of B-site ions or vice versa and octahedron distortion disturb the ion conduction. The reason for this reciprocal proportion of conductivity on the radius of B-site ions has been examined on the base of the interatomic bond strength change due to the cation substitutions. The results were good in agreement with the experimental results. Therefore it could be concluded that the interatomic bond strength change due to the cation substitutions may be the one of major factors influencing the lithium ion conductivity in perovskite(Li0.5La0.5) TiO3system.

대학생의 인지양식에 따라 거미 관찰에서 나타나는 안구 운동의 차이 - Heat map과 Gaze plot 분석을 중심으로 - (Differences in Eye Movement during the Observing of Spiders by University Students' Cognitive Style - Heat map and Gaze plot analysis -)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 시선 이동을 통해 나타나는 인지양식에 따른 관찰 특성의 차이를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 전체적 인지양식, 분석적 인지양식 집단의 관찰 사실에 차이를 보이는 관찰 과제를 개발하고, 각각의 인지양식을 가진 대학생들을 대상으로 관찰 과제를 제시했을 때 시선 이동을 측정하였다. 통계 자료와 시각화 자료를 수집하여 Fixation을 분석하였고 두 인지양식 집단의 관찰 특성 차이를 확인하였다. 이 연구에서 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인지양식에 따른 관찰대상 영역을 비교했을 때 전체적 인지양식 집단은 분석적 집단양식보다 거미줄 및 주위 환경을 포함하는 넓은 영역을 관찰하는 반면 분석적 인지양식 집단은 주로 거미 대상 자체에 초점을 두고 관찰한다. 둘째, 인지양식에 따른 관찰 순서와 방향을 비교했을 때 분석적 인지양식 집단은 거미 자체를 먼저 관찰한 후 주변 환경 요소로 나가는 반면 전체적 인지양식 집단은 거미와 주변 환경을 번갈아 관찰하거나 특이한 부분을 먼저 관찰하는 등 패턴이 일정하지 않다. 전체적 생김새와 부분적 생김새 관찰시 분석적 인지양식 집단에서는 일정한 방향과 연속적인 반복적 탐색이 존재하지만 전체적 인지양식 집단은 정해진 패턴 없이 눈에 띄는 속성 중심으로 관찰이 이루어진다. 이상의 연구 결과를 종합해보면 인지양식에 따라 관찰 대상, 영역, 순서, 방향에 차이가 있음을 알 수 있다. 학습자마다 다양한 관찰 결과가 나타나는 원인이 인지양식에 따라 받아 들이는 정보의 차이에 있음을 확인하였고, 본 연구의 결과는 학습자의 특성에 가장 적합한 관찰 수행을 파악하고 지도하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

다족형 생체모방 수중 로봇(CALEB10)의 Pitch 유영 제어 (Pitch Directional Swimming Control of Multi-Legged Biomimetic Underwater Robot (CALEB10))

  • The CALEB10 is a multi-legged biomimetic underwater robot. In the last research, we developed a swimming pattern named ESPG (Extended Swimming Pattern Generator) by observing diving beetle's swimming actions and experimented with a positive buoyancy state in which CALEB10 floats on the water. In this paper, however, we have experimented with CALEB10 in a neutral buoyancy state where it is completely immersed in water for pitch motion control experiment. And we found that CALEB10 was unstably swimming in the pitch direction in the neutral buoyancy state and analyzed that the reason was due to the weight proportion of the legs. In this paper, we propose a pitch motion control method to mimic the pitch motion of diving beetles and to solve the problem of CALEB10 unstably swimming in the pitch direction. To control the pitch motion, we use the method of controlling additional joints while swimming with the ESPG. The method of obtaining propulsive force by the motion of the leg has a problem of giving propulsive force in the reverse direction when swimming in the surge direction, but this new control method has an advantage that a propulsive moment generated by a swimming action only on a target pitch value. To demonstrate validity this new control method, we designed a dynamics-based simulator environment. And the control performance to the target pitch value was verified through simulation and underwater experiments.
