The upper-body characteristics of the right-handed and the left-handed are examined and compared through 1-dimensional measurement and 2-dimensional measurement. The results were as follows: 1. According to 1-dimensional measurement results, the clearest differences were seen in girth items rather than height or length items. In particular, hand girth, lower arm girth, and upper arm girth were bigger on the left side in the left-handed group and the right side in the right-handed group. This is thought to be relevant to the arm muscles frequently used. 2. According to 2-dimensional measurement results, significant differences appeared in the females of the left-handed group: shoulder point among width items. In the right-handed group, some differences of significance were shown in females (shoulder point, rear armpit point, and B.P. point among width items) and males (front neck point among extreme vertical distance items). In summary, the body type characteristics of the left-handed and the right-handed reveal great differences in the items related to arm length and arm girth. In other words, the sleeve and shoulder patterns production based on the right-handed don't rightly reflect the somatotype characteristics of the left-handed. In addition, in the cases of athletes, laborers, and the disabled who frequently use particular muscles or parts of the body, this sort of research in the patterns is consistently needed in order to reflect the size differences in girth items in upper body.
In this paper, analysis results on the failure of slope behind a Plant Complex of Gimhae due to typhoon Rusa in 2002 are introduced. The left side of the slope was reinforced by soil nails and the right side of the slope was going to construct slope reinforcement works. In the slope failure, the damage area is about $34,000m^2$, the lower width of slope failure is about 230m, the upper width of slope failure is about 50m, and the height of slope failure is about 120m. The elevation of a bedrock in the right side of the slope was lower than the left side of the slope. Due to the depth of weathered soils and weathered rocks in right side of the slope was thick, it will be expected that the effects of pore-water pressure during the rainfalls are large. For the analysis of the failure mechanism, 3-dimensional numerical analysis was carried out by FLAC-3D.

Hemifacial spasm is painless uncommon disorder characterized by involuntary paroxysmal movement of one side face. In the treatment of hemifacial spasm, the Western operation or non-operation therapy has many side effect such as hearing loss, exudative otitis media, facial paralysis etc. So we studied mainly the effect of cause, treatment frequency, diseased part of 29 cases with hemifacial spasm for effective clicical application of oriental medicine. The results of study are as follow; 1. It shows more female patients than male patients, and mostly patients in their forties. 2. The diseased part is shown more on left side than right side, and the left side hemifacial spasm is cured more effective. 3. The causes of hemifacial spasm are mainly stress, ignorance, overwork, and the stress, a cold are more effective causes than ignorance in. 4. The disease period is mainly within six months, and that period is the most effective time. 5. The palpebral site is the most frequent site, ineffective site. 6. The effect go with the treatment frequency is not available. 7. There is a 55 percent improvement of 29 cases.
Objectives : To investigate changes in facial temperature generated by Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture treatment. Methods : One middle-aged woman with no diseases was recruited. Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture was performed on only the right side of her face. We measured her facial temperature using digital infrared thermal imaging(DOREX Inc. Spectrum 9,000MB, USA, D.I.T.I) before, immediately after, and 10 minutes after treatment. We also used the Wilcoxon signed rank test(p<0.05) to compare the differences in facial temperature from one side of the face to the other at each time. Results : Facial temperature on the right side(the area treated by acupuncture) increased immediately from $30.02{\pm}1.87^{\circ}C$ to $32.24{\pm}1.03^{\circ}C$, a statistically significant increase. Ten minutes after treatment, facial temperature on the right side decreased a little bit, but there was no statistical significance. Facial temperature on the left side increased a little, but there was no statistical significance. The difference between the right and left sides of the face increased after the Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture treatment. Conclusions : Miso Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture could increase facial temperature.
This study was carried out to determine the influencing of electrical stimulation to cervicothoracic sympathetic ganglion(CTSG; stellate ganglion) u the sympathetic tone. For the purpose of this study. the stimulation was given to both the interferential current stimulation(ICS: AMF 100Hz) group consisting of 10 person(males 8, females 2) and the transcutaneous nerve electrical stimulation(TENS: 100 Hz) group of 10(males 7, females 3) in the right side of the trachea with probe electrodes. Then. the temperature changes on the surfaces of the forehead. cheek, neck and internal ear of cephalocervix, which is subject to the influence of the cervicothoracic sympathetic ganglion, and the palm. which is the end of the upper limbs. measured before. immediately alter. 10 minutes after and 20 minutes after experiment. The results are summarized as follows. 1. The emergence of remarkable Horner's symptoms which appear due to the changes of the tone of cervicothoracic sympathetic ganglion was not seen. However, in the interferential current stimulation group there were two felt the sense of warmth in the facial region and one person who felt it in the upper limbs, and in the transcutaneous nerve electrical stimulation group there was each one person who felt the sense of warmth in the facial region and in the upper limbs, respectively. Both groups have each one person who felt the sense of oppression in the eyelids. Three persons of the interferential current stimulation group and two persons of the transcutaneous nerve electrical stimulation group have the sense of hoarse voice or numbness in the neck. These are the symptoms that appeared during stimulation, so it is difficult for them to be considered as the direct effects of the changes of the tone of cervicothoracic sympathetic ganglion. 2. The t-test was performed to determine the significance between the right, which is the experimental side, and the left, which is the non-experimental side. Significance between the right, which is the experimental side, and the left, which is the non-experimental side. Significant changes were seen in the necks of the interferential current stimulation group and in the cheeks and internal ears of the transcutaneous nerve electrical stimulation immediately after experiment(P<.05). And the interferential current stimulation group showed a very high significance in the cheeks immediately after experiment and in the necks ten minutes after experiment(p<.01). Therefore, it could be seen that the electrical stimulation had an influencing on the changes of body temperature of the cephalocervix. 3. In both the interferential current stimulation group and the transcutaneous nerve electrical stimulation group, the forecheads, checks and necks of the cephalocervix in the experimental side(right) rather than the non-experimental side(left) had mostly a statistically significant rise in temperature immediately after experiment. The one-way ANOVA was carried out to determine the temperature change of on the surface of the body with the lapse of time; before, immediately after, ten minutes after and tewenty minutes after experiment. But no statistical significance was found from both the right and left sides.

All creatures are living in the space and time. As the space and time are prior to experience, they are preconditions for an incident to happen and preconditions for each other to coexist as well. Therefore, time can be recognized through the change of space and the space can be understood by the passage of time. In western philosophy, the space was understood as an object, place, interval, mind and etc. In oriental philosophy, even though one space is just a part of bigger space, the space may represent the universal space, and the various spaces are no more than a space. The space itself doesn't have any color, form, beginning and end, or liu-he(六合). However, it is the biggest concept that we can find everywhere. In order to understand the space, we need to find our position by expressing subjective positions like above and below, left and right, before and after, and objective positions like high and low, east and west, south and north. In oriental philosophy, the sun is the standard point in finding position; its front side is south, the backside is north, the left side is east, the right side is west, the upper side is south and the lower side north. Based on the finding position which is stated above and by taking each characteristics of he-luo-xi-wen(河洛羲文) and interrelations among them, the space can be modeled. Followings are the results obtained from this study: Tian doesn't fill in west and north. Di doesn't fill in east and south. Tian-dao(天道) turns to left, and Di-dao(地道) turns to right. There is no direct way to get to Dui-chong-fang without passing by Zhong-gong(中宮). The solid figure of eighty-one Bian-ju(變局) and sixty-four Gua-tu(卦圖).
This study was undertaken to figure out the effects of hydrolysis conditions on the solubility of insoluble sericin, molecular weight distribution and thermal characteristics of hydrolysates in enzymatic hydrolysis by Alcalase 2.5L. It was indicated that the optimum treatment temperature and pH for the insoluble sericin were 50$\^{C}$ and 11, respectively. When the insoluble sericin was hydrolyzed with a various treatment conditions, the solubility of all hydrolysates were represented above 85% at given conditions. As the enzyme concentration increased, the solubility increased roughly, but the solubility increasement ratio was less above 2% enzyme concentration. As the treatment time increased, the solubility was also increased. It was showed in the molecular weight distribution of hydrolysates treated various enzyme concentrations and treatment times that when enzyme concentrations were 0.5, 2, 3%, the peaks of the distribution curve were shifted to left side which meant low molecular weight and was distributed much quantity with shifted to be left side, but treatment time was 6 hr. the peak was shifted to right side. When enzyme concentration was 5% and treatment time was below 2 hr., the peaks were shifted to right side, but treatment time was above 4hr. the peak was shifted to left side. The number-average molecular weights were distributed from 300 to 800 and those were decreased when treatment time was up to 4 hr., but increased a little when treatment time was 6hr. It was showed in the DSC curves of hydrolysates treated with treatment time of 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 6 hr. fixed 1% o.w.s enzyme concentration and control that the endothermic peak was observed near at 200$\^{C}$. The denaturation peak of the hydrolysates depending on treatment times had a tendency to shift to higher temperature. But, when the treatment time was 6 hr., the peak was shifted to lower temperature comparing another hydrolysates.
Objectives : Assuming that the characteristic of meridian system has been similar to this of electric potentials in human body and that measurements of electric potential at well(井穴) and sea(合穴) points in branches of the twelve meridians will be representative of measurements of the twelve meridians, to measure the electric potentials in three patient groups with arrhythmia(AP group), with arrhythmia and cerebral infarction(CI group), and with arrhythmia and hemorrhage(CH group), and then to find out the characteristic of meridian system among 3 groups. Methods : Thirty arrhythmic patients diagnosed by EKG, CT, and deficiency of the heart blood(心血虛症) were divided into 3 groups(AP, CI, CH group). Their electric potential of well and sea points in the meridians were measured 3 times by physiograph. Results : Measurements were analyzed by statistical factor analysis, we obtained that the left side electric potential of well and sea points in branches of the twelves meridians in AP group was divided into two factors, which were the hand meridian without the lung meridian, the foot meridian and the lung meridian, but the right side electric potential was divided into the hand and the foot meridian. In CH group both the left and the right side electric potential was divided into three factors. In CI group the left side electric potential was divided into three factors, but the right side electric potential was divided into two factors. Conclusions : In conclusion, their electrical potentials were different each other among 3 groups. Thus electrical potentials of well and sea points might be the representative meridian to show their characteristics.
The purpose of this study was to compare kinematic data between experts and novices, and identify difference kinematic parameters changing direction to kick in penalty kick of soccer play. Novice subjects were 5 high school students Who has never been experienced a soccer player, and expert subjects were 5 competitive high school soccer players. The 3-d angle was calculated by Euler's Angle by inertial axis and local axis with three-dimensional cinematography. Kinematic parameters in this study consisted of angles of knee joints, hip joints, lower trunk and upper trunk when the support foot was contacted on ground and kicking foot impacted the ball. The difference of angle of knee joints in the flexion/extension was insignificantly showed below $4{\sim}9^{\circ}$ in groups and directions of ball at the time of support and impact. But the difference of angle of hip joint was significant in groups and directions of ball at the time of support and impact. Specially the right hip joint of experts were more flexed about $12^{\circ}$($43.99{\pm}6.17^{\circ}$ at left side, $31.87{\pm}4.49^{\circ}$ at right side), less abducted about $10^{\circ}$ ($-31.27{\pm}4.49^{\circ}$ at left side, $-41.97{\pm}6.67^{\circ}$ at right side) at impact when they kicked a ball to the left side of goalpost. The difference of amplitude angle in the trunk was significantly shown at upper trunk not lower trunk. The upper trunk was external rotated about $30^{\circ}$ (novice' angle was $-16.3{\pm}17.08^{\circ}$, expert's angle was $-43.73{\pm}12.79^{\circ}$) at impact. Therefore the significant difference of kinematic characteristics could be found at the right hip joint and the upper trunk at penalty kick depending on the direction of kicking.
We have analyzed the allele and genotype frequencies from 10 fractions of ancient human skeleton in 3 pieces of Jar coffin excavated from Naju Bokamni3rd tumulus by PCR amplification, high resolution polyacrylamide gelelectorphoresis and silver staining. We could isolate human genomic DNA from 3 bone fractions but the rest of them could not be used as materials due to being decayed. We could detect sex determination as male and 3 genotypes of STR system, HUMTHO1, HUMTPOX and HUMC5F1PO from the bone fraction of left side in Jar coffin 3 and see the slightly reaction suggesting the sex as male from the bone fraction of the left side in Jar coffin 2 and female from the right side in Jar coffin 3.We have also analyzed the genotype frequencies of mitochondria from the bone fractions of the left side and the right side in jar coffin 3, respectively. From the result of indetifiying at nucletide position between 16018 and 16378of the base of hyper variable region(HV1) in the control region, We can presume that the both bones have the same maternal inheritance.
