  • Ultrasonic waveguide sensor has been developed for under-sodium viewing of reactor internal structures of a sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR). The structure design concept of a waveguide sensor assembly was suggested and evaluated for the application in SFR. A 10 m long ultrasonic waveguide sensor assembly has been manufactured and the experimental feasibility tests were carried out. The 10 m long distance propagation performance of zero-order antisymmetric $A_0$ Lamb wave has been verified. The feasibility of ultrasonic waveguide sensor has been demonstrated by the C-scanning resolution performance test.

  • The demand for weight saving and high performance of aircraft require the more uses of composite materials. However the complicate behaviors and various failure characteristics restrict usage of composite materials. Low-velocity impact damage is a major concern in the design of structures made of composite materials, because impact damage is hidden and cannot be detected by visual inspection. Especially, the reduction on compressive strength after impact is influenced by the ply delaminations introduced as damage by impact event. In this research, the numerical analysis was performed to investigate impact damage and compressive strength after impact. It was found that impact force history and compressive strength after impact calculated by the numerical analysis were compared and shown a good agreement with experimental results.

  • In accordance with information security compliance and security regulations, there is a need to develop regular and real-time concepts for cyber-infringement attacks against network system vulnerabilities in branch and periodic forms. Vulnerability Analysis Analysis It is judged that it will be a countermeasure against new hacking attack in case of concept validation by interworking with TOOL. Vulnerability check module is standardized in event attribute management and ease of operation. Opening in terms of global sharing of vulnerability data, owasp zap / Angry ip Etc. were investigated in the SIEM system with interlocking design implementation method. As a result, it was proved that the inspection events were monitored and transmitted to the SIEM console by the vulnerability module of web and network target. In consideration of this, ESM And SIEM system In this paper, we propose a new vulnerability analysis method based on the existing information security consultation and the results of applying this study. Refer to the integrated interrelationship analysis and reference Vulnerability target Goal Hacking It is judged to be a new active concept against invasion attack.

  • Pupose: The purpose is to prepare safety management and seismic reinforcement measures that can effectively improve the potential risks of earthquake-resistant design and the deficiencies of safety guidance and inspection of factory facilities in national industrial complexes. Method: In this study, problems and improvement measures were derived through investigation and analysis of overall earthquake disaster safety management, such as safety management status and management system in preparation for earthquake disasters in national industrial complexes. was implemented to suggest improvement plans based on facility types and structural characteristics. Result: In conclusion, the problems of safety management and seismic reinforcement in preparation for earthquake disasters in national industrial complexes were summarized and classified into four types (seismic performance evaluation and related system supplementation, authority of tenant companies and local governments, seismic reinforcement and safety management support measures, organizational structure capacity building) to derive improvement measures. Conclusion: Based on this, seismic reinforcement measures that companies in national industrial complexes should implement in preparation for earthquake disasters were prepared, and detailed plans for each measure were presented.

  • Dissimilar metal welds in nuclear power plant are known as very susceptible to PWSCC flaws, and periodically inspected by the qualified inspector and qualified procedure during in-service inspection period. According to field survey data, the majority of their DMWs are located on tapered nozzle or adjacent to a tapered component. These types of configurations restrict examination access and also limit examination volume coverage. Additionally, circumferential scan for axially oriented flaw is very difficult to detect located on tapered surface because the transducer can't receive flaw response from reflector for miss-orientation. To overcome this miss-orientation, it is necessary adapt skewed ultrasonic transducer accomodate tapered surface. The skewed refracted longitudinal ultrasonic transducer designed by modeling and manufactured from the modelling result for axial flaw detection. Experimental results showed that the skewed refracted longitudinal ultrasonic transducer get higher flaw response than non-skewed refracted longitudinal ultrasonic transducer.

  • High quality power supplying of high voltage distribution lines electric railway system is the important function, high voltage distribution system is complicated witch is compose with distribution line, circuit break, protection facilities and so on. Among this components, role of substation is most important for elevation of reliability in electric power system. Therefore, the enhanced reliability considering the preventive inspection, repair work replacement is necessary. This paper proposes protection method in railway high voltage distribution lines. we model distribution system using PSCAD/EMTDC(Power System Computer Aided Design/Electro Magnetic Transients DC Analysis Program) and extract various fault data. In conclusion this methods can protection of ground fault.

  • This study was conducted to establish a strategy to improve the grafted cacti export which has been stagnated in these year. To promote its exporting, first of all, Korean cactus producer needs to save the cost of labor by using bottom nutriculture system for the greater national competitiveness. Second, it is desired to diversify the export cactus items such as a new variety of Epiphyllum truncatum, big size of perfect brand, a finished package production to satisfy foreigner's demand coping with international market change of grafted cacti. On the other hand, Korean cultivar protection and national negotiation for a reducing tariff rate or an efficient plant inspection system are also needed.

  • An ROV trencher is a type of heavy-duty work class ROV equipped with high-pressure water jet tools for cutting into the sea floor and burying cables. This kind of trencher is mostly used for PLIB operations. This paper introduces the development of this kind of ROV trencher, which has a 698 kW power system, with a 250 kW hydraulic system and two 224 kW water jet systems. The project was launched in January 2014. After four years of design, manufacturing, and system integration, we carried out two sea trials near the Yeongilman port (about 20-30 m in depth) in Pohang to evaluate the system performance in November 2017 and August 2018. Through tests, we found that most of specifications were satisfied, including a maximum bury depth of 3 m, maximum bury speed of 2 km/h, and maximum forward speed of 1.54 m/s.

  • This paper introduces developed prototype intelligent pig which detects corrosion on pipeline by using Magnetic Flux Leakage technology. The 8 inch developed MFL(Magnetic Flux Leakage) pig is composed of 5 yokes which magnetize pipeline wall and 45 Hall sensors which detect MFL signal. The designed MFL modules are analyzed by using magnetic circuit method in order to confirm whether pipeline wall is fully saturated. A variety of artificial defects are manufactured on 8 inch diameter steel pipeline in order to acquire MFL signals. So leakage flux of the axial, radial and circumferential component was acquired as defects. The results of this paper show that design technique for 8 inch MFL pig can be applied to large diameter MFL pig and 0.5mm defect depth can be detected.

  • There are a number of factors affecting the continued airworthiness of composite structure. Unlike metal structure, damages made in manufacturing processes or maintenance repair procedures need to be considered. The different levels of degradation and damage, which may occur, must be considered for structural substantiation of static strength, stiffness, flutter, and damage tolerance. This can start with an evaluation of environmental effects for the particular composite material. Matrix-dominated composite properties, such as compressive strength, are most sensitive to moisture absorption and temperatures. Static strength substantiation includes the smaller damages that will not be detected in production or maintenance inspection while damage tolerance addresses larger damages that need to be repaired once discovered. In this paper, we intend to list the airworthiness regulations and advisory circular that are deemed closely related to the certification of composite airplanes.
