  • A clothing design preference & clothing satisfactions(a general satisfaction, fitness) was studied for women 55 years and older. The major results are as followings. In view of a clothing design preference, 1) Styles of outdoor clothes for spring-fall : ① Two-pieces ② Blouse(Sweater) & Slacks ③Blouse(Sweater) & Skirts. 2) Colors of clothes for seasons: (Spring - Pink, Light yellow, beige), (Summer - Light blue, Blue, Light green), (Fall - Brown, Red purple, Beige), (Winter - Black, Brown, Gray). 3) Fabric prints ; ① Unicolor without print ② Geometric print ③ Traditional print. 4) Kinds of textiles : ① Easy Laundriability ② A style of dressing ③ Uncrumple. In view of clothing satisfactions for ready made clothes, they have unsatisfactory trends as following orders. 1) Considering a general satisfaction : ① Clothing which go with oneself ② Fitness ③ Matching with other clothes. 2) Considering fitness for clothes : ① Sleve length ② Shoulder width ③ Length in Blouse (Sweater) & Jacket, ① Length ② Waist ③ Girth of hip (under abdomen) in slacks (skirts).

Hybrid Governor for Wearable OS Using H/W Low-power Features (하드웨어 저전력 기능을 활용한 웨어러블 운영체제의 하이브리드 가버너)

  • Wearable devices have become widespread. Fitness band is one of common wearable devices, providing useful functions. It helps users to monitor and collect their status such as heart rate and travel distance. Wearable devices, including fitness bands, are designed in small size and it ends up having small battery capacity. In that regard, it is necessary to expand the lifetime of wearable devices. Conventional power management scheme of wearable devices is based on DVFS Ondemand Governor and peripheral control by timeout event, such as turning off the LCD. In this paper, we propose a hybrid governor applying hardware supporting low power mode such as sleep mode to exploit the periodicity of fitness band task. In addition, we show hybrid governor outperforms in power consumption than conventional power management scheme of wearable devices based on Ondemand Governor through experiments.

  • Determination of banknote fitness is an important and challenging task, which classifies used banknotes whether are suitable for recirculation or should be replaced by new ones. Many researches on solving this problem have been conducted on various types of banknote, based on using optical sensors and discrimination algorithms. In this study, we give a review on the previous works on banknote fitness classification.

  • Statement of problem : Several domestic dental implants have been developed since dental treatment being implants are increasing and popularized. However, they have not been used in domestic market like imported goods. Material and methods : This study was carried out to compare domestic and imported implants in aspect of fitness, dental implant fixture and abutment screw using scanning electron microscope. All experiments were performed under dry condition. Results : 1. Only in aspect of relation of dental implant fkxture and abutment screw, except only one group with point contact, good fitness was existed. 2. Home products must presevere in their efforts, so as excellent to fit.

  • This paper introduces a selection operator which utilized similarity and fitness of individuals based on fuzzy inference. Adding similarity feature to fitness, proposed selector obtained the decrease of premature convergence and better performances than other selectors. Moreover, an adoption of steady-state evolution provided enhancement of performances additionally. Experiments of proposed method for deceptive problems were tested and showed better performances than conventional methods.

  • 본 논문에서는 인공고관절과 환자의 고관절 부위를 각각 3차원 영상화한 후에 이들의 정합도 (fitness)를 측정하여 수치적인 정보로 제공함으로써 환자의 체형에 적합한 인공고관절을 선택하고, 더 나아가 정확한 시술방향과 시술깊이를 제공할 수 있는 모의시술시스템을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 region growing 기법등을 이용하여 환자의 CT 영상을 3차원화하고, 또한 인공고관절을 projection 기법 등을 통해 3차원 영상화하였으며, 지금까지 인공고관절 정합도 측정에 사용했던 단순한 단면적 비교방식과는 달리 삽입의 균일성도 가늠할 수 있는 새로운 정합도 측정 방식을 고안하여 적용하였다. 다양한 실험과 분석을 통하여 새로 제안한 정합도 측정 방법의 정확성과 우수함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 본 논문에서 제시하는 모의 시술시스템은 향후 정형외과 분야에서 인공무릎과 같은 다른 영역에서의 시술 보조 시스템으로도 응용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 인공관절의 국산화 및 주문제작 등에성도 많은 활용을 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The Effect of Exercise Program for Prevention of Falling on Physical Fitness, Posture and Fall Prevention Self-Efficacy for Elderly Women (넘어짐 예방 운동이 여성노인의 체력, 자세, 낙상효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of exercise program for prevention of falling on physical fitness, posture and fall prevention self-efficacy for elderly women. 30 females above the age of 65 were subjects for this study. Over an twelve week period, 14women in the experimental group performed exercise 2 times a week for 60 minutes per session. 16women in the control group didn't participate in the exercise program. The independent variable was a exercise program for prevention of falling. Dependent variables were physical fitness, posture and fall prevention self-efficacy. Prevention of falling exercise program is consisted of an elastic band using exercise and Korean dance movement exercise. Physical fitness consisted of grip strength, upper and lower body endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance, coordination. The posture was measured the static posture when standing, using a high-resolution camera, body style to automatically measure the distance and angle(M-zen, Korea). Posture was measured in both the coronal and sagittal plane via reference board. Fall prevention self-efficacy was measured via questionnaire using the Korea Falls Self-Efficacy Scale (FES-K). The physical fitness, posture and fall prevention self-efficacy were measured twice with pre and post exercise, and the difference between groups with Wilcox signed rank test, and the group-specific post verification was carried out with U-validated methods (Mann Whitney U test). Statistical significance level was verified by setting the p<.05. Lower body endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination significantly increased in the experimental group. The control group was no significant increase in physical fitness variables. shoulder slope angle, pelvic slope angle(coronal/sagittal), leg length difference, scapular inferior angle and left/right calcaneus angle significantly decreased in the experimental group. Both the experimental group and control group were no significant increase in fall prevention self efficacy. The prevention of falling exercise program for elderly women indicated the positive changes in physical fitness(except grip strength) and posture(except upper body slope). However, there are no significant differences of falling prevention self-efficacy between the both group. Thus, the prevention of falling exercise program for the elderly has been proved that it is highly efficient on improving physical fitness and posture proofreading. However, we still need to consider supplement exercise for grip strength and upper body slope.

Correlation between BMI and Physical Fitness of College Women in Seoul

  • This study investigated the correlation of the physical measurements and the basic physical fitness of 158 female students in the city of Seoul. The average age of the subjects was 22.0 ${\pm}$ 0.13 years old, the average height was 160.9 ${\pm}$ 0.7cm and the average weight was 53.4 ${\pm}$ 0.6kg. The mean BMI (Body Mass Index) was 20.7 ${\pm}$ 0.2kg/㎡. The average muscle mass was 36.5 ${\pm}$ 0.3 and the average body fat percentage was 28.0 ${\pm}$ 0.4%. The basic fitness levels of the subjects were measured based on the evaluation chart of the Korea Health and Science Research Institution (1994). The subjects were divided into 3 groups based on BMI(Group I : BMI < 20, Group II : 20 $\leq$ BMI < 25, Group III BMI $\geq$ 25) and the correlation between BMI and physical fitness was assessed. 1) The muscle strength of the subjects was measured by their grip strength, among other tests. Groups 1 and 2 were evaluated as “su” (level 1) and group 3 was “woo” (level 2). 2) Endurance 1 was tested by push-ups, and while groups 1 and 2 were evaluated as “su” (level 1), group 3 was “ga” (level 5). This result did not suggest any significant relevance among the subjects. 3) Endurance 2 was tested by sit-ups : groups 1 and 2 were evaluated as “mi” (level 3) and group 3 as “yang” (level 4). Group 2 and group 3 showed a significant difference. 4) Instant power was tested by standing high jumps, and although there was a significant difference between group 1 and group 3, all of the subjects were evaluated as “ga” (level 5). 5) Flexibility was measured by how far the subjects could bend forward. There was no significant relevance between the groups and they were all respectively evaluated as “woo” (level 2). 6) Agility was tested with side-steps and all the subjects showed poor agility as “yang” (level 4). 7) Heart and lung endurance was tested by the step test, calculating the maximum oxygen intake with the Physical Energy Index (PEI) and using the numbers according to the evaluation chart. Group 1 was evaluated as “mi” (level 3) and groups 2 and 3 were “woo” (level 2). From these results, we could see the group III (obese group) had a tendency of lower levels in all the variables related to body fitness They showed significantly lower endurance assessed with time for sit-ups and instant power by the standing high jumps. The Effect of Forest Experience Program on the Lung Capacity, Health & Fitness, Emotional Intelligence, and Psychological Well-being of Local Children (숲 체험 프로그램이 지역아동의 폐활량과 건강체력, 감성지능, 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of a forest experience program on the lung capacity, health & fitness, emotional intelligence, and psychological well-being of local children.This study was conducted on 3rd and 4th grade elementary school students for 12 weeks from July 10 to September 30, 2022, at a local children's center in D City. Changes were analyzed and verified using t-test. Verified. The changes in the lung capacity, health & fitness, emotional intelligence, and psychological well-being of the experimental group and the control group were analyzed and verified using t-test.For the changes in lung capacity and health & fitness, there was a statistically significant difference between the control group and the experimental group in lung capacity (t=24.56, p<.05), and there was also a statistically significant difference between the two groups in cardiorespiratory endurance among the elements of health & fitness (t=16.64, p<.05). As for the changes in emotional intelligence and psychological well-being, there was statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the emotional intelligence (t=2.31, p<.05) and in psychological well-being (t=3.21, p<.05). Through this study, the positive effects of the forest experience program were confirmed, and it is believed that institutional arrangements are needed to improve children's participation conditions by expanding forest experience education spaces and developing customized forest experience programs to suit the characteristics of the region.

Convergence Study on Effects of Underwater Rehabilitation Exercise on Physical Fitness and Blood Lipids in Middle Aged Women (중년여성의 수중재활운동이 신체적성과 혈중지질에 미치는 융합연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how underwater rehabilitation exercises affect physical fitness and blood lipids for 10 weeks and provide basic data to help prevent middle-aged women from cardiovascular diseases. The subjects of this study were middle-aged women living in Seoul, Korea. The underwater rehabilitation exercise was performed for 1 week and 3 times for 10 weeks, and the exercise time was 60 minutes for 1 time including the warm up, the main exercise and the cool down. The exercise intensity was set at 60-70% of the heart rate reserve calculated from the pre-exercise test. The measurement variables were physical fitness and blood lipid. In the data processing, descriptive statistics were presented for each measurement item and a 2-way RGRM ANOVA was conducted to examine the interaction effects between groups. The results have shown significant interaction effects in physical fitness(Flexibility, Cardiorespiratory Endurance, Muscular Endurance) and the blood lipids(TG, TC, HLD-C, LDL-C). This study found that the 10-week underwater rehabilitation exercise program of middle-aged women increased physical fitness level and decreased and increased blood lipid, which could be an effective and convergent program to prevent and reduce cardiovascular disease.
