인터랙티브 영화는 영화와 관객 간의 상호작용성을 기반으로 한 영화로, 관객의 선택에 따라 장면의 순서와 내용이 바뀔 수 있다는 특징을 갖는다. 인터랙티브 영화에 대한 논의를 크게 두 상반되는 관점으로 양분해 볼 수 있다. 하나는 새로운 영화 형식으로서 인터랙티브 영화가 가진 가능성을 긍정적으로 바라보며 다양한 방식으로 이를 '실험'하고자 하는 관점이고, 다른 하나는 인터랙티브 영화의 상호작용성이 관객에게 자유와 능동성에 대한 환상을 심어주면서 편향성을 강화할 위험이 있다는 비판적 '경고'의 관점이다. 우리는 이 두 관점을 모두 고려하면서 인터랙티브 영화의 특성 분석을 통해 그것이 가진 정치적·미학적 가능성을 현실화할 수 있는 방향을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 이론적·실천적 참조틀로서 브레히트의 서사극 이론을 이론적 기반으로 삼아, 대중적·비평적 주목을 받은 바 있는 인터랙티브 영화 <블랙미러: 밴더스내치>를 분석하였다. 이 작품의 텍스트/컨텍스트적 특성을 상호작용적 다중 분기 구조, 자기반영적 미장아빔 구조, 관객의 능동적 향유 세 차원에서 분석하고, 이를 서사극 이론과 비교하였다. 이를 통해 21세기 새로운 기술/미디어 환경에서 새로운 서사극으로서의 인터랙티브 영화의 조건과 가능성을 확인하였다.

서사 영화에서 인물의 성격 묘사를 위해 다양한 작곡법 중 선법 사용에 대한 설정을 분석한다. 등장인물의 성별, 직업, 영화 안에서의 역할에 따라 선법을 설정했다. 선법이란 그레고리안 성가에서부터 사용된 조성이다. Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian, Ionian 총 7가지 선법 중 등장인물에 대한 캐릭터를 분석하여 각 선법에 대한 특수성이 인물 성격에 어떻게 묘사되었는지 밝힌다. 플라톤의 [공화국] 중 선법에 대한 부분을 인용하여 인물의 성격과 음악적 접근 방법을 분석한다.

The Ramayana is a very popular epic in Southeast Asia. It is the story of King Rama who must save his kidnapped wife, Sita. After Sita was abducted by the Demon King Ravana (Tosakanth) and taken to Lanka, Rama and his brother rescued her with the help of the monkey warriors, especially with the help of the Monkey King Hanuman. Along the way, the epic teaches Hindu life lessons. Today The Ramayana is told and retold through literature, theatre, orally, in movies, and is referenced in many other forms of popular culture. Nowadays, in Thailand, Ravana and Hanuman deconstruct the role of divine and become folk deities that also find their places in calendar art, advertising and stamps, etc. And in Vietnam, Ravana and Hanuman have become the two figures that can't be absent from Southern Vietnam Khmer ceremonies. In this article, our aim is to show how Ravana and Hanuman became symbols of popular culture (case studies in Thailand and Vietnam). The data provided in this article is drawn from field surveys with reliable reference resources.

Two application rates (9 and 18 t/ha) of poultry litter and a recommended rate of commercial fertilizer were studied to determine their effects on nutrient (N and P) losses in surface and subsurface runoff and loadings in soil layers from conventionally-tilled com by the treatments. The model predicted higher sediment losses than observed data from all treatments. The overpredicted sediment losses resulted in overprediction of organic-N and sediment-P losses in surface runoff. Simulated soluble-P losses in surface runoff were close to observed data, while NO3-N losses in surface runoff were underpredicted from all treatments. Observed NO3-N concentrations in leachate at 1.0-m depth from commercial fertilizer treatment were fairly well predicted. But the concentratins were overpredicted from poultry litter treatments due to high simulation of organic-N mineralization simulated by the model.

Potential impacts for unfavourable weather conditions and the assessment of the magnitudes of their adverse effects on crop yields were studied. EPIC model was investigated for its capability on crop yield predictions for rice and soybean. Weather generationmodel was used to generate long-term climatic data. The model was verified with ohserved climate data of Suwon city. Fifty years weather data including abnormal conditions were generated and used for crop yield simulation by EPIC model. Crop yield probability function was derived from simulated crop yield data, which followed normal distribution. Probable crop yield reductions due to abnormal weather conditions were also analyzed.

This paper aims at analyzing Robert Southey's Thalaba the Destroyer in relation to cultural colonialism of the British Romantic period and investigating the ways in which this text portrays the Other through its literary representation of the East. Especially, this paper attempts to show that the Oriental world constructed in Southey's text reveals the imperial subject's self-conscious awareness of its unstable relation with the unknown Other. For this purpose, this paper attends to the formal aspects of Thalaba the Destroyer, examining the process by which the reader's generic expectations about the "epic" undergo complex revisions and frustrations through reading this text. The epic elements contained in Thalaba the Detroyer include the battle between good and evil and the hero's moral epiphany arising from his struggle against malicious enemies. Yet, Thalaba the Destroyer constantly destabilizes the distinction between self and other by leading the reader to recognize the uncomfortable similarity between the poem's tyrannical figures and imperialistic monarchs in the Western civilization. Thus, when the hero enacts a revolution against despotism, the resistant power points not only to the imagined false kingdom within the text, but to the core of the real Empire that seeks to construct its own "garden" in the global scene. In addition, Southey's "panoramic" description of Oriental objects and stories in his footnotes lacks a framing perspective, erasing and de-stabilizing subject/object distinctions. In these footnotes, he exposes his profound attraction to the culture of "Other" and also conveys his aspiration to transforming Eastern myths and stories into profitable literary texts. Southey's attitude to the East in the footnotes appears to be partially grounded upon the interest of mercantile capitalists of the West, who need to discover potential commodities. Yet, simultaneously, he reveals a sense of moral hesitation about his own desire for the materiality of the East, along with deep anxiety arising from the fear of punishment.

This essay studies local design style in globalization era through investigation of the restaurants which are located at suburb of big cities in Korea. All regional memory and history is disappeared in 'The world time' and world design style in globalization era. Thus to study local design means to study the history of certain region and the memory of the people who lives in that area and how they represent their past and memory. Post colonial theory, everyday aesthetics and the way of using past and memory are preresearched for the theoretical background. Post colonial theory is discourse for the countries which have the experience of colonialism. History and memory are used for defining present political, social, economical and cultural situation. In this essay, the way using past and memory were classified in three dimension - by government, company, and individuals. The past which is represented by government is conceptual and defined as only sign without on going history. When it is represented by company, it is also uses as a sign and imitation without contextual meaning. However, when the past is used by individuals, it is alive in daily life. This essay argues that those restaurants which have the style of 'the Koreaness' symbolize the suppressed desire to represent the lost past and memory which are forced to be exduded during the colonial period and fast modern development. And the design style can be defined as epic design, for it has it's own main character, story, memory and plot too. This word 'epic' imply the main point of local design style. In conclusion, this essay will ask the role of design in the country which has colonial memory in globalization era.

본 논문은 영화 Dogville 속에 나타난 연극성에 관하여, 연극적인 시선으로 소고 했다. 특히 전반적인 구성과 형식에 있어서 Brecht 의 서사연극(Epic theatre) 에 많은 영향을 받았음을 알 수 있다. 첫째, Dogville 은 영화 서사가 진행되는 장소 자체를 연극이 한 공간 에서 진행 되는 것처럼 한정된 공간을 제시 한다. 두 번째로 미장센적인 요소에 있어서 영화에서 공간적 분열을 상징하는 연극무대 장치를 사용 했다는 것이다. 이는 변증법적으로 인물들의 소외감과 충돌하게 되는 인간 삶의 단편을 표현하는 것이다. 마지막으로 이 영화는 연극적인 마임과 비디제시스적 음향효과를 사용하였다는 것이다. 마임동작은 관객이 배우의 연기에 더욱 집중하게 하는 효과를 주며 지루 한 듯 흘러가는 영화의 서사에 탄력을 준다. 이렇 듯 라스 폰 트리에 감독은 연극에서 사용되는 여러 장치들을 영화에 삽입함으로써 관객에게 극에 대해 감정적인 동화 없이, 좀 더 많은 상상력을 요구하고, 배우의 연기와 영화의 서사에 집중 할 수 있게 하는 힘을 불어넣어 주고 있다.

Purpose: There is no established treatment-related prognostic factor for gastric cancer except a curative tumor resection. This study was done to clarify the prognostic value of early postoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy (EPIC) in patients with serosa-positive gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: We analyzed retrospectively the postoperative survival data of 209 patients with serosapositive gastric cancer treated by surgery and chemotherapy. The survival period for patients was calculated from the date of resection until cancer-related death or the last date of follow-up; Kaplan-Meier survival curves were plotted and compared by using the log-rank test. A multivariate analysis was done by using the Cox proportional hazards model. Results: Statistically significant differences in survival rates were noted based on gender, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, stage, location of tumor, macroscopic type, extent of gastric resection, curability of surgery, and adjuvant chemotherapy. Five-year survival rates of patients who received EPIC and systemic chemotherapy were 49 per cent and 25 per cent, respectively (P=0.009). A multivariate analysis revealed that invasion of an adjacent organ, lymph node metastasis, total gastrectomy, and palliative surgery were poor independent prognostic factors. Also, EPIC had a marginal prognostic value (P=0.056). Conclusion: Perioperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy can possibly be one of the independent prognostic indicators in case of serosa-positive gastric cancer.
