Since 1970', the international community has displayed a heightened consciousness concerning the Earth environment and Environmental Education has became to be as survival strategies for the environment and human life. For developing the model of instructional procedure for educating environmental behaviors in environmental education, this study analyzed the objectives, characteristics, contents, instructional methods and instructional procedures of case studies that were awarded the first prize of the Contest of the Case Study in Korea that were had charged by KFTA. The main results of this study were as follows :(1) the more objectives for environmental education were focused on “formulating values and attitudes for the environment”, some objectives for “skills” need to investigate or solve the environmental issues were found, and some objectives for “environmental behaviors”. (2) the more contents of environmental education were focused on “environmental pollutions” (3) the more instructional methods for environmental education used for “investigating or experiment” to solve the environmental issues or problems, some methods for “taking actions for the environment”. (4) the most of case studies were used the model of environmental instruction that were developed by KEDI in 1988. Conclusionally, This study suggested that you have to emphasis on level of responsible citizen behaviors to resolve the environmental issues or problems in the environmental instructional procedures.

The main results of this study were as follows :(1) the more objectives for environmental education in science textbooks of Korea were focused on “awareness of the environment”. While the objectives of the Project WILD of Canada were balanced between each objectives. (2) the more environmental skills in science textbooks of Korea were focused on ‘observation’ and ‘description’, while the environmental skills of the Project WILD of Canada for environmental education focused on ‘analysis’ and ‘observation’. The environmental skills for the environmental education in the science textbooks of Korea were concentrated on ‘observation ’ and ‘description’, while the Project WILD of Canada were balanced between each skills for investigating the environment and the environmental problems. (3) the instructional procedures in science textbooks of Korea for the environmental education were very similar between each activities of the science textbooks, while the instructional procedures of the Project WILD of Canada were very different, and these procedures were very useful for educating the environmental behaviors.

Recently, centrifuge tests have been widely used as tools in geotechnical engineering researches in domestic and foreign. However, the size of these centrifuge facilities is very large and thus the tests require for long time, high expense, and many labors. In this study, therefore, a small size of instructional centrifuge, which can conduct tests in a short period of time effectively, was introduced. This centrifuge facility introduced in here was developed for geotechnical engineering education for graduate and undergraduate students. The slope stability model having $65^{\circ}$ slope formed with clay was used to investigate the application of the instructional centrifuge by considering experimental procedures and results.

This study aims to design practical problem-focused instruction by applying universal design of "Housing" unit of Technology Home Economics in the 10th grade and examine the students' perception on the lesson. The lesson is composed of the following procedures: thinking, problem recognition, problem understanding, information search & alternative search, consideration of the result, and practice plan. To solve problem such as 'What should one do for everyone's convenient and comfortable residential life' practically, we chose the major concern of 'understanding the universal design', 'analysis of cause for environmental change', 'creation of human-concerned residential culture'and performed alternative experience program for the old, the pregnant and the disabled. The students perceived teaching methods and contents positively with interest. They also understood the lesson easily by experiential activity and discussion thus enabling their active participation. It was also found out that the students felt considerable change of their consciousness of living environment of residence and the local community, thus it is concluded that the practical problem-focused instructional design method is very effective.

The purpose of this study was to verify the validity of Ohio State Teacher Efficacy Scale(OSTES: Tschannen-Moran, 2000) when used with Korean home economics teachers. To achieve this purposes, the surveys with 263 secondary school home economics teachers was conducted by the prime investigator. Statistical procedures included descriptive statistics, factor analysis, internal consistency. Cronbach's a was calculated to test the reliability of items and their internal consistency and Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA) was conducted to test the structure of each factors with principal analysis and varimax rotation. Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) was conducted to test the factor validity of this scale with AMOS program. The reliability test result of 20 items appeared Cronbach's a=.86. The factor analysis on teacher efficacy with 263 survey of secondary school home economics teachers produced 5 factors including efficacy in classroom management. efficacy in needs assistance, efficacy in instructional strategies, efficacy in environmental assistance and efficacy in teaming assistance. The validity of teacher efficacy scale was moderately verified by the confirmatory factor analyses(GFI=.87, AGFI=.84. CFI=.86. PNFI=.72, RMR=.05. RMSEA=.07). The results lend a support to the teacher efficacy scale as a valid instrument.
