This paper presents a theoretical model for the analysis of double-bumped AFBs. The stiffness and damping coefficients of the double bump vary depending on the external load and its friction coefficient. In the case of a lightly loaded condition where only the upper bump contributes to deformation, the double bump is in the single active region. In the case of a heavily loaded condition where both the upper and lower bumps contribute to deformation, the double bump is in the double active region. So the double bump can be either in the single or double active region depending on vertical deflection. The equivalent stiffness and damping coefficients of the bump system are derived from the vertical and horizontal deflection of the bump, including the friction effect. A static and dynamic performance analysis is carried out by using the finite difference method and the perturbation technique. The results of the performance analysis for a double-bumped AFB are compared with those obtained for a single-bumped AFB. This paper successfully proves that a double bumped AFB has higher load capacity, stiffness, and damping than a single-bumped AFB in a heavily loaded condition.

A double pancake winding method is widely used to make the superconducting magnet, using high temperature superconductor (HTS) tape. In the double pancake winding method, the joints with contact resistances between double pancake coils are inevitably needed. The electrical joule heating on the contacts causes refrigerant loss during operation. And a space outside the winding, for splices and mechanical support, is more than that for its layer-wound equivalent. In this paper, a double pancake winding method in order to reduce the number of the joints was proposed. Both of the double pancake coils using the conventional winding method and the proposed winding method have been fabricated and tested to make the solution technically feasible in the double pancake winding method. Especially, critical-current tests of the fabricated double pancake coils were conducted in order to show the same performance and confirm contact resistances between double pancake coils.

일반적인 Bulk carrier는 Single deck, Double bottom, Hopper side tank, Top side tank와 함께 Single side skin 또는 Double side skin으로 구성되어 Single hull bulk carrier 또는 Double hull bulk carrier라 불린다. 본 논문의 연구선박인 Double hull bulk carrier는 CSR에서 규정짓고 있는 Double hull bulk carrier의 특징 중 Hopper side tank가 없기에 일반적인 Double hull bulk carrier와는 다른 구조를 가진다. 구조적 특징으로는 Inner bottom과 Inner hull 연결부위에 응력 집중 발생, Side shell의 Shear에 대해 구조적 안전성, Double hull에 대한 CSR for bulk carrier의 Rule적용 여부에 대한 판단 등이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Double hull bulk carrier의 구조적 특징과 구조해석을 통한 응력 집중 부위의 평가 및 Fatigue analysis을 통한 피로수명을 계산하여 이를 통해 구조의 안전성을 살펴보고자 한다.

This paper is on an acoustic echo canceller solving the double-talk problem by using the blind signal separation technology. The acoustic echo canceller may be deteriorated or diverged during the double-talk period. So we use the blind signal separation to detect the double talking by separating the near-end speech signal from the mixed microphone signal. The blind signal separation extracts the near-end signal from dual microphones by the iterative computations using the 2nd order statistical character in the closed reverberation environment. By this method, the acoustic echo canceller operates irrespective of the double-talking. We verified performances of the proposed acoustic echo canceller in the computer simulations. The results show that the acoustic echo canceller with this algorithm detects the double-talk periods well, and then operates stably without diverging of the coefficients after ending the double-talking. The merits are in the simplicity and stability.

This paper presents a unified account of three kinds of constructions in which more than one NP can show up with the same case in simple sentences in Japanese and Korean: double subject, double nominative object and double accusative constructions. Noting that the second NPs in these constructions are functional or relational, this paper proposes to assign them the category and type different from the first NPs. We show the derivations of these three constructions in a parallel manner, and explain the asymmetries in extractability between possessor and possessed NPs in relativization.

G. H. Hardy laid the foundation of classical studies on double Fourier series at the beginning of the 20th century. In this paper we are concerned not only with Fourier series but more generally with trigonometric series. We consider Norlund means and Cesaro summation method for double Fourier Series. In section 2, we investigate the classical results on the summability and the convergence of double Fourier series from G. H. Hardy to P. Sjolin in the mid-20th century. This study concerns with the $L^1(T^2)$-convergence of double Fourier series fundamentally. In conclusion, there are the features of the classical results by comparing and reinterpreting the theorems about double Fourier series mutually.

Recently, a double deck train is considered as the one of solutions for efficient and comfortable railroad transportation systems on busy lines without any big investment on existing railroad infra-structures in many countries. However, prior to the operations of double deck trains on existing lines, careful investigations should be performed since the double deck trains have big cross sections, high mass centers and no enough spaces for mounting electric equipments. In this paper, several operational cases of double deck trains in other countries have been reviewed for preparing double deck train operations in Korea.

Double layered tube is assembled with an inner tube and an outer tube, similar in material or not, contacting closely and deforming simultaneously when subjected to external force. For the manufacturing of double layered tube, the hydroforming assembly technology has several advantages. Therefore in this study, hydroforming characteristics of double layered tube was investigated. The free bulge test was performed to produce formability diagrams of double layered tubes at various forming pressure and feeding amounts. The hexagonal shape hydroforming test was also performed to estimate the dimensional accuracies of double layered tube through the corner filling ratio and the gap between inner and outer tube. Besides experimental analyses, the analytical model that can predict internal pressure for the hydroforming of double-layered tube was proposed and experimentally validated.

여기에 기술된 가변폭 double-pulse generator는 완전 transistor화 되어서 소형이고 사용하기 간편하다 주파수는 1KHz까지 가변할 수 있으며 pulse의 폭은 0.4μsec에서 8μsec까지, pulse의 진폭은 1V에서 10V까지, double pulse 간의 간폭은 0μsec에서 12μsec까지 가별할 수 있다. 정 또는 부의 single 또는 double pulse를 얻을 수 있다. 각단마다의 해석을 하였으며 아울러 설계식을 유도하고 실험과 비교하였다.
