아버지의 양육행동, 양육참여도, 아동이 지각한 아버지-자녀 간 의사소통이 아동의 리더십에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Paternal Parenting Behaviors, Child-Rearing Involvement, and Father-Child Communication Perceived by Children on Their Leadership)

  • This study examines the effects of paternal parenting behaviors, child-rearing involvement, and father-child communication perceived by children on their leadership. A total of 197 children selected from three elementary schools and their fathers participated in this study. Data were collected using a parenting behavior index, a child-rearing involvement inventory, a father-child communication inventory, and a children's leadership index and statistically analyzed using the t-test, a one-way ANOVA ($Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test), and a multiple regression analysis. The results show significant differences in children's leadership according to the father's education level, family income, the father's warmth/acceptance, the father's family activity involvement, and open/problematic communication between the father and the child. The child's age, the father's education level, family income, the father's warmth/acceptance, open communication, and problematic communication were significant predictors of the child's leadership. These results suggest that a child's leadership may be strengthened if the father is warmer and more accepting and has open communication with the child.

  • 영유아의 중요한 양육 항목의 올바른 실천율이 전체 항목의 약 60-70%에 불과하였고, 예방접종 프로그램에 겸하여 실시한 양육교육으로는 적극적인 교육이 이루어질 수 없어 교육 효과가 충분하지 않은 것으로 나타났으며, 영유아의 월령이 증가할수록 교육효과가 낮아 졌다. 전반적인 올바른 양육실천 정도를 높이고, 영유아의 월령 증가하더라도 어머니의 양육에 대한 관심을 지속 유지시킬 수 있으며, 교육 효과를 높일 수 있는 접근법을 모색하여 수행할 것을 제안하며, 수행되는 교육의 효과를 지속적으로 평가하는 과정을 통해 본 프로그램을 개선 발전시킨다면 부산지역 영유아의 올바른 양육 실천율이 높아질 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

조선시대 회화에 묘사된 아동의 양육과 생활 (Child-Rearing Practices and Activities of Children Depicted in Traditional Paintings of the Chosun Period)

  • This study of child-rearing practices and daily activities of children during the Chosun dynasty was conducted through analysis of 91 traditional paintings of the period. Genre, figure, folk, and landscape paintings were included in the analysis. Findings were that child-rearing was strongly focused on the family. Generally, the mother was shown as the primary caregiver of the child. Grandmother, father, and grandfather also played a role in raising the child. The daily activities of the children consisted of helping with household chores, assisting the elderly, doing small jobs, studying, playing, performing for family members, and participating in family rituals and community events. Differences in child-rearing methods and contents of daily activities varied by gender and socio-economic status.

저소득가정 영유아 어머니를 위한 '시소와 그네' 교육중재 프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of the Seesaw & Swing Early Intervention Program on Mothers with Young Children from Low-Income Families)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the Seesaw & Swing early intervention program on the positive changes of mothers with young children who come from low-income families. It measures their child-rearing efficacy and their child-rearing behaviors. The Seesaw & Swing early intervention program was developed by the Community Chest of Korea [13]. The subjects for this study consisted of 96 mothers (49 in the service group, 47 in the control group) from low-income families. The instruments used were the child-rearing efficacy scale [4] and the child-rearing behavior scale [29]. The results of this study indicated that the Seesaw & Swing early intervention program produced positive effects in child-rearing efficacy as well as in child-rearing behaviors: namely, healthy-rearing abilities, guidance abilities, and discipline abilities in child-rearing efficacy; and affection, rational guidance, authoritative control, encouragement and concern in child-rearing behaviors. In conclusion, for mothers with young children coming from low-income families, the Seesaw & Swing early intervention program can be said to be an effective parent education program, which goes some way towards ending the intergenerational transition of poverty in Korea.

학령전기 빈곤 아동의 행동문제와 관련 요인 (Preschooler's Behavior Problems and Relating Factors in Poverty Group)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between caregivers' child rearing characteristics including discipline method, child rearing confidence, attitude, burden, attachment, and cognitive stimulation and preschooler's behavior problems in poor, urban group. Method: A cross-section study design was used. Conveniently selected one hundreds and three preschool aged children and their caregivers who are under National Security Act were recruited. Data was collected using Korean Child Behavior Checklist (K-CBC) comprised of nine sub-dimensions and caregivers' self report questionnaires. Results: Caregivers' discipline method was associated with behavior problems of child. The internalizing and externalizing behavior problem scores including aggressive behavior of children who experienced spanking were significantly higher than children who did not. In addition, Caregivers' child rearing confidence also showed associations with the children's behavior problems. Child behavior problems showed positive relationships with caregivers' child rearing burden, and negative relationships with child rearing attitude, attachment, and cognitive stimulation. Conclusion: Caregivers' negative discipline methods and low child rearing confidence showed significant relationships with children's behavior problems of poor, urban children. Nurses working in primary care and community-based settings are in key positions to address this problem and improve the parenting attitude of low-income caregivers and positively affect the behavior of their children.

우리나라의 기관등록 자폐아에 관한 연구 (A Study on Autistic Children in Korea)

  • This Study was to determine the trend of child rearing attitude, to investigate how variables affect the child rearing attitudes, and to suggest directions for developing much needed parental effective training programs or counselling for autistic child in community. The subjects were seventy six mother's of autistic children who attending to 13 treatment institutions in Korea. The data were collected from 1, March to 30, May, 1985. Maternal Behavior Research Instrument exploited by Schaefer, used as 3 tool in this study. The research findings obtained were as follows : 1. Mothers, in general, had affective, restrictive attitudes, and were found to be affective, yet did not give a positive evaluation of children's behavior and used fear control extensively, thus made their children dependent. 2. There were no significant differences in child rearing attitude by children's sex and age. 3. There were no significant differences in child rearing attitudes by mother's age, education level and religion. 4. There was no significant difference in child rearing attitudes by father's occupation.

일본 보육지원 정책의 변화과정 및 지역사회 맞춤형 보육지원 정책에 관한 연구 (A Study on History of Child Care Support Policy and Community Based Child Care Support Policy in Japan)

  • 본 연구는 일본 보육지원 정책의 형성과 변화과정 및 지역사회 맞춤형 보육지원 정책을 고찰함으로써 우리나라의 저출산 및 보육문제 해결을 위한 보육지원 정책을 수립하는데 시사점을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 일본 보육지원 정책의 형성과 중요 시책의 변화과정, 일본의 지역사회 맞춤형 보육지원 정책의 개요와 내용을 고찰하여 우리나라 보육정책에 주는 시사점을 도출하였다. 연구결과, 2010년 보육지원 정책의 개혁으로 실시되고 있는 일본의 지역사회 맞춤형 보육지원 정책에 대한 현황 등에 대한 분석을 통해 나타난 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국가의 거시적이고 적극적 보육정책의 지원과 지역사회의 재정과 상황을 고려한 보육지원 제도의 체계적인 확립이 필요하다. 둘째, 국가와 지역사회가 연계하여 보육정책에 대한 재정적 지원을 위한 현물과 현금지원 등 보육지원 재원의 확충이 필요하며 지역사회 네트워크 구축을 통한 보육지원서비스가 이루어져야 한다는 것이다.

어머니의 양육태도가 아동의 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 I (The effect of the child-rearing patterns of mothers on their children′s academic achievement)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of the mother's child-rearing patterns on children's academic achievement with respects to ‘understanding of family and work’ area in Practical Arts Education related to the 7th revision on the Curriculum of the Elementary School. The questionnaire was used for the survey. The subjects were 200 mother-child (total of 400) randomly chosen from 4 elementary schools in Seoul. Data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, averages, standard deviations, Pearson's correlation coefficients, t-tests and one-way ANOVA's using the SPSS/PC+ program. The results of this study were summarized as follows : The correlation between income in their home and their children's academic achievement did not analyze because of the omitting record in their questionnaire. The relations between the patterns of mother's child-rearing and children's academic achievement by children's sex and by grade were examined. But in this study, these relations scarcely have significant differences between the children's academic achievement and their mothers' child-rearing pattern except between being significant reject-sanctions type of mothers' child-rearing and the children's academic achievement. However, the child-rearing patterns of mothers which children and their mothers think were similar, then the high correlations were found between their patterns.

  • The purpose of this essay is to review family ethics and child rearing reflected in WonBuddism and to suggest hypothetical model of family ethics and child rearing appropriate to modern society. WonBuddist family ethics hasits roots in the concept of "Grace" specifically, the essence of all relationships in the world as characterized by "Grace". WonBuddist family ethics based on this world view emphasizes mutual support, harmony and service for the public. The purpose of WonBuddist child rearing is to bring up children who recognize the world order mention above while, at the same time, developing the capacity to support oneself, ultimately resulting in individuals who are balanced both morally and practically. A WonBuddist model of family ethics and child rearing appropriate to modern society includes: (1) the concept of "Grace as a principle" for the restoration of essential humanity, (2) the principle of "mutual support" and "essential humanity" for the restoration of the feeling of family community (i.e., the cohesion of the family), and (3) the moral principle, "capacity for self support and public service" as a way of moderating the family oriented value system.

집단따돌림 피해 아동이 지각하는 부모의 양육태도가 집단따돌림에 미치는 영향: 자아탄력성의 매개효과 (Influence of Parents' Rearing Attitudes Perceived by Bullied Children on Bullying: Ego-Resilience Mediation)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine effects of parents' rearing attitudes perceived by bullied children. The focus in this study was on mediating effects of ego-resilience. Methods: Data were collected from 202 bullied elementary school students in grade years 5 and 6. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and structural analysis with the SPSS/WIN 19.0 program and Amos 19.0. Results: First, significant positive relations between parents' rearing attitudes and ego-resilience, significant negative relations between ego-resilience and bullying, and between parents' rearing attitude and bullying were found. Second, the effects of ego-resilience as a mediator between perceived parents' rearing attitudes and bullying were significant statistically. Conclusion: The findings suggest that educational programs for parents are needed to improve parents' perception of the importance of their rearing attitudes toward bullying and nursing intervention programs for bullied children should be developed to increase their ego-resilience.
