This thesis is designed to take a close look into the characteristics of architectural space through the standard of beauty, which has been created apart from our desires at certain cultural or historical periods of time. It will try to construct the outline of conception about the beauty throughout many centuries. First of all, contents of the research will focus on the aspects, which people have been considering as beauty eversince the ancient time without having any assumptions on its concept. For example, if the beauty of art has been accepted by the theories of modern aesthetics while degrading the beauty of nature, its value could have possibly been much more appreciated. The standard of beauty has been going through the process of change in such history of mankind. The general standard of beauty, which was established in the ancient time was the proportion and harmony between many elements. Afterwards, beauty was expressed as colors and light in medieval times. Expression of beauty using ugly features such as monsters or demons also existed at the time. Beauty has been periodically developing from supernatural to gracious, rational, noble, romantic, religious, mechanical, and today's media. The concept of beauty established from the above has been appearing throughout various culture such as dress and decoration at the given period of time. It would later affect the formation of space as well as decoration for architectures and styles. It will be analyzed throughout the five design elements; style, composition, materials, components, and form. The thesis would like to find the spatial order of beauty from the result of the analysis. The analysis will examine the possibility for which the recomposition of beauty will be provided as a design process for the new era. The Greek beauty represents a shape. The shape represents proportion and the proportion represents given numbers. However, beauty is being expressed by the opposite process at the present time. In other words, computers will arrange the numbers, which would formalize the proportion between the numbers. Beauty would be presented when the shape is presented as certain forms.
Beauty of the proportion of the furniture of the Joseon Dynasty, have been studied by many researchers along with the ideological background. Furniture Joseon, can know that it has emphasized the beauty by placing the base with simplicity and to base the natural view. However, efforts are missing try to find a logical answer about what is configured by any principle view of nature we are talking about. Therefore, in the present study, we study the beauty of proportion to the center of the hall furniture Korea dynasty, and it was studied perspective of view of nature of the times. Around the neck of the Joseon Dynasty furniture, it is going to become an opportunity to say fundamentally the culture of their own ingenious with uniqueness by reviewing the discrimination of the cultural identity. That illuminates the housing culture through the characteristics of furniture and space, to pursue the unity is going to be able to find a lot of information from a wider point of view. In this paper we present a visual furniture material for efficient survey through use of research results, it is expected that it is used as related documents that can be usefully employed in the development process of the furniture design.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the lifestyle, food habits, image, perception of beauty and nutrition knowledge between beauty major and non-major college female students. A total of 392 women aged 20s in the survey. SPSS version 21.0 was used for analysis of data. The BMI was high in non-major students (p<0.05), proportion of underweight (p<0.001) and non-drinker (p<0.01) were significantly higher in beauty major students than non-major students. Proportion of total subjects skipped meal by the lack of time. Importance of appearance was significantly higher (p<0.05) in beauty major students. Nutrition knowledge score was significantly higher in beauty major students compared to non-major students (p<0.001).In beauty major students, food intake of meats (p<0.001) and cooked food with oil (p<0.01) were lower white vegetables (p<0.05) and fruits (p<0.01) were higher than non-major students. In conclusion, these results suggest that non-major students need to systematic education program about nutrition and diet.

The purpose of this study is to suggest standard bodytype which offers criterion for the sizes and shapes to interpret various bodytypes, to estimate fitting, and to construct ready-made clothing. There were two ways of analyzing bodytypes of subjects from the viewpoint of statistic and beauty. We had carried on the analysis from the viewpoint of statistic in the Part(1) and we carried on the analysis from the viewpoint of beauty in this Part(2). Taken as a sample, the subjects were ninety-seven females who were between the aloes of 18 and 24 rears o1d. They were measured on November 1999. The data of seven hundred and four females,18∼24 year-old, from the National Somatometry Survey of 1997 were used for analysis, too. The first analysis from the viewpoint of beauty was executed to the front and side photographs of the subjects to analyze the general traits of the beautiful bodytype. The second analysis from the viewpoint of beauty was executed to subjects who were in both High-frequency proportion range and Beautiful bodytype group. As the result, four groups in Beautiful and High-frequency proportion range were selected. The standard proportion was analyzed with the size and shape of four groups. Based on the standard proportion, the size, shape and silhouette of the standard bodytype were analyzed. To verify the size, shape and silhouette of the standard bodytype, the location of the standard bodytype in the 1997 National Somatometry Survey group was analyzed. As the result, the standard bodytype was verified as proper criterion to interpret various bodytypes, to estimate fitting, and to construct ready-made clothing.
International exchange gets active in nations with the increase of Internet use and heading toward digital age. Thus the communication conveying image of nations effectively plays an important role in an international society. Sports events are regarded as important international exchange events and good opportunities for public relations of one's own country and taken as tools of planting good images in other nations. This study surveyed the concept and history of uniform through the documents and previous studies in order to find the aesthetic characteristics of sportswear uniform applying the image of national ensign and investigates the origin and start time in Korea of selected 6 sports items. As a result of finding the expression way of ensign image and drawing the aesthetic characteristics by analyzing the use and variation of ensign colors, the use of colors other than ensign and reflection of ensign form in collected 60 sports uniforms, this study could draw the symbolical beauty, beauty of variation and beauty of brevity. First, symbolical beauty is the aesthetic characteristics expressing uniforms by using the pattern ensign symbolizes and ensign colors themselves or enlarging a part of ensign. Second, beauty of variation is the aesthetic characteristics creating geometrical new patterns in uniform through the distortion and exaggeration of ensign shape, or transforming the colors themselves of ensign. Third, beauty of brevity is the aesthetic characteristics using other colors only as decorative factor while applying the main colors of ensign to the most part of uniform, or unifying the uniforms with only one color of ensign. As a result of survey, the proportion of the symbolical beauty was highest in summer season and beauty of brevity and beauty of variation followed and the proportion of beauty of variation was highest and the symbolical beauty and beauty of brevity followed after that in winter season. This study found the way of expressing image of one's own country in sports uniform through this article, expecting the exact recognition on sports uniform and the diversity of sports uniform design in which the images of the nation are expressed more variously.

One of the latest social trends is to reappear old things under the banner of the revival. It is easily found in the fashion industry because Fashion is not divided into the past, the present and the future thing but coexisting through all ages. The purpose of this study was to pursue the healthy and characteristic beauty of the modem people by understanding the beauty culture of the ancient. The Middle ages were mainly classified into Byzantine, Romanesque and Gothic by historical and cultural factors. In the Byzantine age, the clothing with rich silhouette was worn by the influence of the abstemious religion and it didn't express a specific proportion of human body. The people covered their hair with turbans and veils for the period. The Romanesque era was affected by the religious idealism and the Greek-Roman culture. The ideal proportion of human body could be 8 heads high and the clothes expressing natural silhouette of human body came out. Depending on the feel of the flowing texture, long-braided hair was typical in that time, and also wearing kinds of head dress as personal ornaments was characteristic in the age. In the period of Gothic, the long and weak human body was emphasized. The ideal proportion of human body could be figured with 8.5 heads high and it was expressed with the form of artificial and vertical silhouette such like tight-fitting upper garments, gathered skirts and long hats.
The Doryon-Line is the lowest line of the Chechori and Dangeu and the length of the Chechori and the Dangeu have wide influence on the Doryon-Line. Also the change of the Doryon-Line is re-lated to the proportion the length the depth that is the curved proportion and the two curved proportion 0.04 and 0.13 are related to the roof style of the traditional architecture in Chosun Dynasty. The Chosun people have made a change the Doryon-Line monotonous in the 14C-15C but the Doryon-Line have been full of variety every fifty years in the 15C-18C. Especially Chosun people have been at war in the mountains and fields in the Doryon-Line are 0.06 and 0.07 in this period I think that the curved proportion 0.06 and 0.07 are symbolized the natural beauty in the mountains and trees of the Korea.

Sensitivity has become more important in relation to design in a changing social environment and atmosphere. In the West, the concept of aesthetics has long been established but in the East, only in the seventeenth and eighteenth century China the discussion had begun. In Korea where the first scholarly discussion on aesthetics had begun around 1929, more and more rigorous and theoretical discussions emerge nowadays. Korean beauty consists of unplanned Beauty and unplanned planned Beauty. Japanese beauty consists of the beauty of half-articulation and the beauty of articulation. While both Korea and Japan base their sense of beauty on nature, Korea emphasizes the nature as it is and Japan values the artful decorative elements. In modern Korean fashion, the characteristic Korean aesthetics of unplanned Beauty appears in the various expressive techniques such as the movement with natural gathering, the use of natural materials like cotton, the harmonization of black and white, and simplified silhouette. Also, there are plays on balance and proportion using straight and curves lines and variegated colors and creative printing, intentional asymmetry, and destrution.
This study examined the aesthetic characteristics of Grecian style which is being considered as the representative classic of Western fashion and the transformations of those Grecian styles on the fashion of the twentieth century. This study used positive research method using literatures on art history and clothing history, fashion related publications, and magazines and websites to understand the trend of fashion designer's collections. The study results are as follows. The aesthetic characteristics of Grecian style was considered to be the ideal beauty combined with symmetry, the functional beauty combined with non-construction, and the sensual beauty combined with natural body. The ideal beauty combined with symmetry appears as a style that shows idealistic proportion of a body emphasizing high-waist based on the golden ratio and the body as a whole rather than details. The functional beauty combined with non-construction appears as perfect recreation a body in its original and natural form. The clothing takes a form that does not have any structural design and has simplified cutting and sewing. It uses pins and strings to fix up the form of clothing which is flexible and naturally draped. The sensual beauty combined with natural body is found in natural silhouette dress alluding naked body in connection with Rousseau' naturalism in neoclassic period. Throughout the twentieth century, the desire for Grecian style was conveyed by a single detail or through an array of allusive effects.
This study aims to propose for the K-beauty industry by analyzing the consumption situation. The data used the household trend survey and GDP from 06' to 16' provided by the National Statistical Office. The analysis results of the influencing factors of expenditure on the K-beauty service industry per household resulted in the increase of expenditure on hair and beauty services and their goods when ordinary income decreased, it was possible to understand the similarities between the change of Engel's coefficient. It was difference in the proportion of consumption of beauty services account by income quintiles.The increase of the GNI had an effect on that of the consumption of K-beauty. The above results show that beauty service industry is relevant to the items of households' income and expenditure. Plans are needed to take into account national economic trends and consumption patterns.
