The purpose of this study is to investigate the relations between housewife's self esteem and attitude toward household work its satisfaction and to find out how independent variables(housewife's age, education level, employment, household work helper, type of family) have effect on the two dependent variables. The measurement of self-esteem was based on the self-concept test standarized by Jung Won Sick, reformed the Fitts measurement for Korean Society. In order to measure of attitude toward household work and its satisfaction, based on the previous research, researcher made the measurement . the research was conducted on 234 housewives in Seoul in September 1984. Data was analyzed by percentage, mean, frequence analysis of variances, Pearson's correlation coefficient. The result can be summarized as following. 1)Over on half of housewives have high self-esteem comparatively. 2) Age and education level were variables to have influence n the attitude toward household work. 3)The attitude toward household work and its satisfaction comparatively were high. 4)Education level and type of family were variables to have influence on the attitude toward household work. Education level, employment and household work helper were variables to have influence on the satisfaction of house hold work. 5) Level of Self-esteem has influence on the attitude toward household work and its satisfaction. The higher level of self-esteem was, the higher becomes the score of the attitude toward house hold work and its satisfaction. Following suggestions can be extracted form the results of above study. 1) research of housewife's self-esteem didn't established a setted theory yet. I think, therefore, it requires deeper study about housewife's household work look upon as her occupation and relation between the household work as her occupation and her self-esteem in this area. 2) Population and sociological variables, used in this study, hardly influenced on self-esteem, the attitude toward household work and its satisfaction. Also the result didn't correspond with one another. So I think it requires need of further study how psychological and family function variables will have influence on housewife's self-esteem, the attitude toward household work and its satisfaction. 3) To recognized the value of household work objectively, many researchers tried to investigate of economical value of household work, But if housewife can realize her self-actualization through household work, it requires the study that try to objectively not only estimate the economic value of household work, but also the contribution of the aspect of family psychology.

College students face serious difficulties while seeking jobs, leading to a high degree of stress, which is thought to affect their attitude towards smoking. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between hardiness, job-seeking stress, and the attitude towards smoking among students, and to further identify the factors influencing smoking attitude. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered to 145 students. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS program, t-test, ANOVA, Kruskal Wallis test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Smokers constituted 22.1% of the sample. The study showed that smoking attitudes varied according to the smoking status (H=28.26, p<.001). The smoking attitude was seen to be desirable in the high group (t=-3.27, p=.001) and low job-seeking stress group (t=4.40, p<.001). There was a positive correlation between hardiness and smoking attitude (r=.18, p=.028). There was a negative correlation between job-seeking stress and smoking attitude (r=-.28, p=.001). Also, the factors affecting the smoking attitude were non-smoker respondent (β=.50, p<.001), job-seeking stress (β=-.23, p=.015), former smoker respondent (β=.22, p=.016) and the explanatory power was 24.3%. Therefore, school and health public center counseling and employment support programs need to help students manage and cope with stressful situations to change their attitude towards smoking in a desirable direction.

The occupational health services for the minor enterprises are poor comparing with that of large enterprises in Korea. In 1997, Korean government announced officially the law on joint employment system of occupational health practitioners to solve the problems. This study is to develop the model on the joint employment system of occupational nurse practitioners for minor enterprises in Korea based on the opinions of occupational health nurses (OH Ns). The data were collected by questionnares from October to November in 1997. The number of subjects was 210 occupational health nurses who had participated the mandatory nursing education program provided by the Korean Occupational Health Nurses Association(KOHNA). The response rate was 47.1%. The contents of questionnaires were general characteristics, occupational & job characteristics of OHNs, and the views on the joint employment system. The SAS-PC program was used for the statistical analysis. The results were as followed, (1) The proper number of industies was 3 and the appropriate number of workers was 448 for one joint employed occupational nurse practitioner (J EONP). (2) 44.7% of the OHNs wanted that the Ministry of Labor monitored the way and content of contraction b/w JEONP and minor emterprises, 82.6% of the OHNs wanted that KOHNA managed the employment informations. (3) The OHNs of occupational health agencies showed more positive attitude than the OHNs of private industries on the joint employment system. (4) 88.3% of the OHNs wanted the education training for JEONP. Especially in occupational hygiene and safety control. (5) The OHNs expected the role expansion of Occupational Health Nursing by JEONP system. At the same time they worried the adverse effects. For the successful execution of this system, it is necessary the cooperation among the Ministry of Labor, KOHNA, the minor enterprises, and the OHNs.
Purpose. The purpose of the study was to categorize nursing students' subjectivity in their attitude toward their jobs, and thereby understand the differences among these attitude types. Methods. The study used a Q-method to measure nursing students' attitude toward jobs identity types. In-depth and objective interviews and literature review formed Q sample. The P sample consisted of 25 nursing students. Results. The results of the study show that nursing students can be categorized into three types, depending on their attitudes toward their jobs. The firs type, 'interest-oriented' students, strongly disagree to the follow-ing: giving priority to job over marriage, standing unfair treatment in the workplace, the importance of pro-motion opportunity, irresponsibility, and uncertainty. The 'reward-oriented' students, on the other hand, strongly disagree to the following: indifference to career prospects, employment-related relocation of residence, irresponsibility, standing difficulties, and compromises with others. The third type of nursing students is the possession-oriented students, who strongly disapprove of irresponsibility, refusal to compromise with reality, standing unfair job allocation or promotion and career uncertainty. Conclusions. The study on nursing college students' attitude toward their jobs is meaningful in the following aspects: First, the study clarifies nursing college students' attitudes toward their job by categorizing it. Second, the study confirms the changing attitudes of nursing students toward jobs with the change of times and calls for proper educational programs to foster healthy career attitudes. Third, proper decision-making as regards jobs and job allocation for nurses, or their career attitudes, is beneficial to individuals, the medical industry, and society.

In recent years, the competition for employment among college students has become more intense. It is also the time when strong personal beliefs and will to develop careers are required for successful employment through stable major study. Therefore, in this study, we tried to find out the effect on major attitude and employment efficacy according to the level of aviation safety perception, which is an important issue in the aviation industry. For analysis, survey is conducted targeting college students majoring in aviation service who are enrolled in universities in the metropolitan area and Chungcheong area. To verify the hypotheses of the study, demographic characteristics are identified based on questionnaires, reliability and validity of measurement items are verified, and structural equation model analysis is performed to verify the hypotheses. The analysis results are as follows. First, it is found that safety knowledge and safety consciousness, which are sub-factors of aviation safety perception of college students majoring in aviation service, have a positive (+) effect on subject recognition, learning process recognition, and career recognition of major recognition. Second, subject recognition, learning process recognition, and career recognition, which are sub-factors of major recognition, are found to have a positive effect on major commitment. Third, it is found that major commitment have a positive (+) effect on employment efficacy. Based on the research results, practical support plans and strategies for effective major study and successful employment are presented.
This ethnographic case-study explores the interpretation and behavior in job considering among full-time housewives. The participants of this study are eleven middle class full-time housewives in their thirties and forties. In-depth interviews based on an unstructured Questionnaire were conducted for this study. Findings are as follows: Six full-time housewives tend to think their full-time housewife-lives more convenient, something unable to substitute and more profitable compared to the counter partner's lives. But they are classified into two groups according to the satisfaction for full-time housewife life. One group has found out more positive meaning in their life but the other group has not yet and they are doubtful about real life and other opportunity. In Contrast, other five full-time housewives tend to interpret employment as a more productive source to secure family resource for their children's education and repay the loan used to buy larger apartment. And the job is considered to confirm her own individuality and the feeling for the social entity as a competent social entity. But two of them who have never been employed do not try to get a job as a new identity alternative. And the various elements like household income, job experience, health, children's age and husband's attitude to his wife's employment etc. are defined to influence the interpretation and the job considering behavior among full-time housewives.

Recently, universities are being requested to educate a wider range of technical and social skills in order to respond to the government's policy for promoting youth employment and the industrial demand arising from social changes. Accordingly, field practice at universities is being further strengthened. It is important to analyze whether the work experience and information that students gained through field practice can improve their confidence in their career path, and can serve as a motive for not only employment but also start-up after graduation. In this study, the motivational aspect which leads to action by improving students' confidence in their career path is investigated. In addition, the influence of field practice experience on employability and entrepreneurial intention is also analyzed by setting a self-directed career attitude as a variables. The results of this study are as follows. First, the field practice experience of college students has a significant effect on employability, but does not directly affect their entrepreneurial intention. Second, it is confirmed that the higher the self-directed career attitude of students with experience of field practice has a positive (+) effect on the employability. Third, the higher the self-directed career attitude has also a positive (+) effect on entrepreneurial intention. This study shows the influence of field practice on employability and entrepreneurial intention beyond the limit of the existing research that was divided into employment and start-up. Theoretical basis for analyzing whether universities can achieve practical results simultaneously in government policy for employment and start-up is also provided.

The population was technical high school students. The study was carried out through questionnaire survey method. The survey questionnaire was sent by mail. A survey questionnaire consists of 38 items. 391 questionnaires were used for analysis. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for data analysis. And the data was analyzed by using structural equation modeling to examine structural relationship. The results of this study were as follows: First, resilience of technical high school students was high. In the domain of resilience, 'diversity of interest' was the highest, and 'emotional management' was the lowest. And resilience of meister high school students was higher than that of specialized high school students. Resilience of male students was higher than that of female students. Second, major satisfaction of them was moderate. In the domain of major satisfaction, 'major prospect' was the highest, and 'satisfaction of societal dimensions' was the lowest. And major satisfaction of meister high school students was higher than that of specialized high school students. Major satisfaction of male students was higher than that of female students. Third, employment preparation of technical high school students was moderate. In the domain of employment preparation, 'employment attitude' was the highest, and 'job performance competency' and 'employment information' were moderate. And employment preparation of meister high school students was higher than that of specialized high school students. Employment preparation of male students was higher than that of female students. Forth, resilience of technical high school students had a positive effect on employment preparation. Also major satisfaction of them had a positive direct effect on employment preparation. And the mediating effect of major satisfaction was significant in pathway from resilience to employment preparation.
