『Hasimdangga Eumsikbeop』 is the second cookbook discovered in the Honam region. It is believed to have been copied by Hong Ju-song between the late 1800s and early 1900s, and excluding the missing parts, it contains a total of 14 items, including 7 liquor items and 7 general food items. Judging from the proofreading marks, it was not considered a complete creation. However, it was confirmed that the book was not influenced by existing ancient cookbooks from the Seoul-Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Yeongnam areas. Therefore, it is highly likely that the book was based on an undiscovered recipe book from an ancient family. It is valuable as a basis for comparative research on regional food culture in the traditional era in that the manufacturing methods, ingredient quantities, and description methods are different from existing cookbooks in many ways and contain unique terminologies and regional dialects.
U-Pb age determination was performed on the zircon fractions separated from the metamorphic rocks of three locations of the Gyeonggi Massif. The ages obtained from the upper and lower intersections between concordia curve and discordia lines made of the zircon fractions separated from the rocks of each locality we: $2168\pm$24 Ma and $1227\pm$40 Ma for the Yongduri Gneiss Complex, $1955\pm$22 Ma and $493\pm$32 Ma for the Euiam Group, and $3712\pm$244 Ma and $1613\pm$51 Ma for the Yongmunsan Group (2$\sigma$ errors). The upper intercept ages from the Yongduri Gneiss Complex and the Euiam Group of Gyeonggi massif are very similar to those obtained from the granitic gneisses and the porphyroblastic gneisses of Yeongnam massif respectively. Such similarities suggest that Gyeonggi and Yeongnam massifs might situate under the similar tectonic and geographic environment during ca. 2.2-1.9 Ga. The upper intercept age of Youngmunsan Formation (3.7 Ga) shows large error, because most of the zircon fractions are plotted very close to the lower intersection. It is necessary to investigate further to confirm this age. However, It may suggest the possibility of occurrence of the oldest crust of the northeast Asia similar to the one reported recently from the northeast China. The lower intercept age of the Yongmunsan Group is interpreted to indicate strong metamorphism. Such age postdates the 1.85-1.7 Ga metamorphism and igneous activities occurred in the Yeongnam massif, which might record the late Paleoproterozoic tectonic activities simultaneously occurred in both massifs.
It is as necessary as ever to make constant efforts to overcome the regional strife between the eastern and western parts of Korea and come to a mutual understanding. To achieve this, we must endeavor to correct Korean people's distorted understanding of the history of Korean philosophical thoughts. Ordinary Koreans commonly and mistakenly associate the academic circles of Korean Neo-Confucianism with certain regions by which to divide them into Giho School and Yongnam School and then go as far as associating the schools and parties and pegging them 'Namin'(南人) to refer to as the followers of Yongnam School and 'Seoin'(西人) as the followers of Giho School. Such false notions must be corrected. During the reign of King Seonjo, political factions of Joseon were split into Yongnam and Giho, or East and West. At the time, the two cardinal directions East and West were only used to refer to the eastern and western parts of Seoul, and not Yeongnam(East) and Giho(West) of the Korean Peninsula. Therefore, the factional split at the time has nothing to do with regional cleavages. In fact, a majority of scholars representing Korean Neo-Confucianism maintained a friendly relationship regardless of the school, party, and region. Many leading scholars in the middle of the Joseon Dynasty namely Jo Sik(曺植)/Seong Woon(成運), Lee Hwang(李滉)/Ki DeaSeung(奇大升), Lee Hwang(李滉)/Lee Yi(李珥), Noh Susin (盧守愼)/Lee Yi, the ones in the late Joseon Dynasty -Jeong Gyeong Se(鄭經 世)/Kim Jang-Saeng(金長生), Jeong Gyeong Se(鄭經世)/Song Joon Gil(宋浚吉), and also those at the end of the Joseon Dynasty such as Kwak JongSeok(郭鍾錫) and Kim BokHan(金福漢) deeply respected each other and had a close friendship rooted in their academic commitment. The friendship between the leaders of Giho and Yongnam is a testimony to the high level of their character, academic achievement, and intellect. More than ever, such intangible intellectual and cultural resources drawn from Korean tradition must be utilized to the fullest. From this point on, we need to further promote the friendship and mutual understanding the scholars of Yongnam(Gyeongsang-do), Gyeonggi, Honam (Jeolla-do), and Hoseo(Chungcheong-do) enjoyed, and use them as a cognitive basis for harmony between the eastern and western parts of the country. These invaluable assets can be specifically used in the promotion of exchange between the local autonomous governments of the regions where above-mentioned scholars built an amicable relationship, joint commemorative events, exchange between families of the scholars of both regions, opening of special exhibitions dedicated to the harmony between Yongnam and Giho at museums in the two regions, co-organization of local festivals, joint operation of culture programs, and relationship and exchange between the 'seowons' in both regions, through which to promote the long history of exchange between the scholars of the past and utilize it in joint projects.

The results of the survey on the number of students enrolled in 1,337 elementary schools in the 29 provinces nationwide are as follows. First, in the first Newtowns, the number of enrolled students is 601~750. In particular, 4 small schools (4.2%) showed 300 small sized schools. Second, the number of schools in the metropolitan area is 451~750, and the number of schools under 300 students is 16, accounting for 5.6% of the total. Third, the Chungcheong Province is the largest in the 751~900 people, but relatively fewer than 150 students account for more than 13% of the total. Fourth, Yeongnam region has the largest number of enrolled students in the 301 ~ 450 classrooms, and the number of schools with 150 under 50 schools is 300 and the number of under schools is 118 with 24.3%. Fifth, Honam area is the most in 601 ~ 750 people, but the number of schools under 150 students is 27 and the number of under 300 schools is 23.5%. In particular, small schools in Yeongnam region and Honam area are more than twice as high as other areas. Additional follow-up studies are needed for other cities.

While attainment rates for $SO_2$ and CO approached 100%, those for $PM_{10}$, $NO_2$, and $O_3$ have been low during the past decade. The attainment rates for 24-h $PM_{10}$ and 8-h $O_3$ have been only 1~3% and 5~12%, respectively, since the standards were strengthened in 2007. Variations in the 99th percentiles of 24-h $PM_{10}$, 8-h $O_3$, and 24-h $NO_2$, which are used as criteria for determining exceedance of standards, were examined by region. Because the analysis was based on short-term high-concentrations, the effects of Asian dust were observed for $PM_{10}$. Accordingly, it is necessary to specify whether exceptional events such as Asian dust will be included or not in determining the exceedances of standards. While variations in $NO_2$ were not large, there was an increasing trend in $O_3$. In the Yeongnam region, the increasing rate of $O_3$ concentrations was small although the decreasing rate of $NO_2$ was the greatest. In the Gangwon region, $NO_2$ concentrations were almost unchanged, but $O_3$ concentrations experienced a significant increase. Regional management strategies targeting short-term high concentrations of criteria pollutants analogous to the Special Act for the greater Seoul area will aid in improving attainment rates.

The purpose of this study is to examine what people in Korea recognize the cultural symbolism and the planting patterns of 'Guǐmok', pagoda tree(Sophora japonica). The species planted in the 'Guǐjeong' was empirically investigated and analyzed to determine which species of pagoda tree or Zelkova tree(Zelkova serrata) was taken through literature surveys, field surveys, and interviews with persons. This 'Guǐjeong' was combined to track how the culture of the 'Guǐmok' planting introduced in China was ultimately accepted and transformed in Korea. In this study, we tried to analyze the meaning implicit in the mystery while checking the distribution of the mystery and the form of the mystery, the name of the pavilion and its relevance to the contrast medium. Essentially, the trees that govern the characterization of the nectar plant, regardless of the region, are considered to be a pagoda tree, which is considered an internal factor in which the pagoda tree culture was not completely transformed into a zelkova tree. It was recognized throughout the Joseon Dynasty that the species representing 'Prime ministers(三公)' was judged from all the Joseon Dynasty periods, based on the builder of Guǐjeong's Aho(雅號) and Dangho(堂號). It was confirmed that the tree was very likely to be planted in place of the painting tree. But now is selectively zelkova tree is in accordance with the preparation of planting site conditions and areas on behalf of the Change is very high probability that is planted. Cultural variables that led to the cultural transformation of the 'Guǐmok' seem to have been deeply involved in the geographical space of China and Korea, Confucian practices of the Choson society, comings and goings and letter bridge, and network strength with China through the book spread. In addition, the culture of 'Guǐmok' is presumed to have led to cultural custom of the upper class, not the whole class, in the Yeongnam region, it can be said that the independent adaptation to act to recognize 'Guǐmok' as a pagoda tree, that is a Sophora japonica, has occurred very strongly. The difference between the cultural areas of Yeongnam and non-Yeongnam is also considered to be an internal factor that has played a major role in the cultural transformation of planting of 'Guǐmok'.
To clarify the characteristics and genesis of clayey terrace soils in Yeongnam area, macro-morphological features and soil profile development indexes were investigated with the sequential soils in Yeongcheon (inland region) and in Yeongil (coastal region). The results are summarized as follows; 1. According to the physiogaphy and landuse, the terrace soils were discernible to well drained yellowish red (5 YR) profile of higher terrace (Bancheon series), moderately well drained reddish yellow (7.5 YR) profile of middle terraces (Upyeong and Hwadong series), and lower terraces (Deogpyeong and Geugrag series) which were moderately well to imperfectly drained by paddy-fication. 2. The roundness and sphericity of the gravels contained in the terrace deposits were ranged around 0.543-0.546 and 0.723-0.722, respectively. The rounded to well rounded gravels were resemble to typical alluvial origins. 3. The amount of clay minerals formed in the soil horizons per 100g of parent materials were 50.8-30.7g while the rates of the clay leached were 30.1-7.4%, and the higher terrace had the more leaching rates. 4. The index of profile development of the terrace soils ranged from 37.95 to 22.01 and the index were positively correlated with relative elevations of the soils. The rates of clay leaching were positively correlated with the ratios of clay in the illuvial horizons to elluvial horizons. 5. A similarity was observed among cumulative grain size curves of the terrace soils, but the patterns of recalculated silt free cumulative grain size curve of terrace deposits in Upyeong soils in Yeongil area were abruptly different from down layer that suggest the soil to have bisequum profile.
To clarify the soil characteristics and genesis of the clayey terrace soils distributed in Yeongcheon (inland region) and Yeongil (coastal region), 9 typifying pedons including a recent local deposits were studied. The physico-chemical properties found were summarized as follows; 1. The contents of available water of the terrace soils were ranged from 12.0 to 20.3%. They were increased with increaseing clay content up to 35%, and then decreased at clay content of 35 to 55%, but were maintained about 12 to 13% when the clay content exceeds 55%. 2. The amount of water stable aggregates in the surface soils were ranged from 55.0 to 81.1%, and were low in cultivated upland where water erosion were accelerated while high in the paddy where the double cropping were practiced. The index of aggregate in cultivated upland were higher in the surface soils but the paddy soils were higher in subsoils. 3. The colloidal reactions checked by the differences between pH in $0.01N-Na_2SO_4$ and $H_2O$ indicate exchangeable acidity to exchangeable neutrality, which means a sort of Red-yellow soil forming process had been prevailed during genesis of the terrace soils. 4. Cation exchange capacity of the clayey terrace soils were averaged about 15.8-20.2me/100g of fine earth and 35.6-52.6me/100g of clay. The rates of base saturation were 32.7 to 57.6% and the rates decreased with increasing the elevations of terraces. 5. The activities of free iron oxides were 0.061 to 0.739 and the values decreased with increasing elevation while the crystallinity index of iron oxides positively correlated with elevations the values ranged from 0.067 to 0.537.
This article deals with some issues with respect to the Mahan pottery excavated from the tombs. Pedestal jars with cover, small round-bottom jars, cylindrical pottery etc. had appeared in the interaction with the northern region in the dimension of the southern Korean peninsula. Especially, these relics had an important role at the route connecting the midwest region, Chungcheong(忠淸) inland and Yeongnam(嶺南) region. By this stage, the iron culture was similar to each other in the southern Korean peninsula. In addition to the inland route, the coastal passage along the west coast seems to have been used. Such signs are found in cylindrical pottery and Pedestal jars with cover. It was probably a natural phenomenon that the most powerful forces of Mahan appeared at this crossroad of cultural exchange. The unique style of Mahan pottery such as double-rim pottery had been established since the third century. After the third century, Mahan pottery varied by region depending on the tomb style. The difference roughly matches with the variations of the tomb style. But at the region of Bungumyo(mounded tomb), specific pottery such double-rim pottery had been prevalent than in other regions. And a specific style had been used in a narrow range. The pottery spread to the neighboring regions in the course of interaction and were also used in ritual practices.

These are Byeolsingut Talnori with religious, the Ogwangdae of wandering play team, the Ogwangdae of local residents, and the Dulnorum of local residents. The mask dramas of Korea southeast region are specified as intangible cultural asset, many traditional mask play were restored. The restoring is imitation. These things are difficult to assigned as the intangible cultural asset. But though it is the imitation of the mask dramas, it is culture phenomenon. So we need to make the fostering system.
