변형된 IPA 분석기법을 활용한 도시부 도로 서비스 질 평가 (Evaluation of Urban Roadway Service Quality Using Modified-IPA Technique)

  • 현재 도시부 도로에 대한 서비스 수준 평가는 통행속도, 지체 등과 같은 정량적인 부분만을 고려하였다. 하지만 도시부 도로를 이용하는 운전자들은 정량적인 부분이외에도 도로의 청결, 타운전자의 법규위반 등의 정성적인 측면에서도 영향을 받고 있는 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 정량적인 부분과 정성적인 부분을 함께 고려하여 평가지표를 도출하고, 서비스 측면의 개선사항 도출시 주로 경영분야에서 사용되고 있는 Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) 기법을 변형하여 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 변형된 IPA 분석기법은 분석대상 및 항목간 상대적 수준을 반영하여 서비스 수준이 평가될 수 있도록 구성되어 있다. 사례분석 지역으로 서울시 강남 3개구, 강북 3개구를 선정하여 도시부 도로의 서비스 질 평가가 수행되었으며, 변형된 IPA 평가를 토대로 도로 서비스 질 향상을 위한 지역별 개선항목을 도출하였다.

광촉매 코팅 금속의 IPA 분해 특성 연구 (A Study on the Degradation of Isopropyl Alcohol with $TiO_{2}$-coated Metal)

  • 본 연구에서 광촉매 $TiO_{2}$/P-25를 알루미늄 금속판에 코팅하여 코팅 조건에 따른 IPA 분해 활성을 고찰한 결과, 무기계 바인더인 KR-400, 유$\cdot$무기복합 바인더인 TMOS, 유기계 바인더인 A-9540을 사용하여 코팅한 알루미늄 금속판의 표면상은 모두 깨끗하였다. 부착력은 무기계 바인더를 제외한 바인더에서 우수한 것으로 나왔다. 또한 IPA 분해 효율은 무기계 바인더 < 유$\cdot$무기 복합 바인더 < 유기계 바인더 순으로 나타났다. 유$\cdot$무기복합 바인더와 P-25의 비율을 10: 10, 8.3: 10, 6.6: 10, 5: 10, 3.3: 10, 1.6: 10으로 바꾸어 광분해 실험을 수행한 결과, 1.6:10일 때 IPA 분해 효율이 가장 우수하였다. 상용화된 타사(A사, B사) 제품과의 성능 비교 결과, 본 연구에서 사용한 바인더(A-9540): P-25의 비율을 1: 6으로 배합하여 코팅한 알루미늄 판의 IPA분해 효율이 가장 우수하였다.

A comparative study on analgesic and non-analgesic outcomes of inter pleural analgesia compared to thoracic epidural analgesia in open pancreatico-duodenectomy

  • Backgrounds/Aims: Thoracic epidural analgesia (TEA) is an established analgesic method in open Kausch-Whipple pancreaticoduodenectomy (KWPD). Although, it can cause hemodynamic instability and neurological complications. Inter pleural analgesia (IPA) is an alternative option. We aim to evaluate the effectiveness of IPA versus TEA after KWPD. Methods: We retrospectively studied the efficacy of IPA against TEA in patients, operated by a single surgeon. The primary outcome was the analgesic efficacy and secondary outcomes were analgesia-related complications, inotrope use, and duration. Results: Forty patients (TEA, 22; IPA, 18) were included. Both groups were well matched for patient characteristics, type, and duration of surgery. TEA was associated with higher analgesia-related complications (n = 8, 36.4% vs. n = 1, 5.6%; p = 0.027). TEA complications included analgesia not working (n = 4), leakage (n = 2), refractory hemodynamic instability (n = 1), and lower limb anaesthesia (n = 1). One patient in the IPA group encountered leakage. TEA was associated with longer inotrope requirement (35 vs. 18 hours; p = 0.047). There was no significant difference in intensive care unit (ITU) admission rate (81.8% vs. 77.8%; p > 0.999), median ITU stay (3 vs. 2 days, p = 0.385), or hospital stay (11 days in both groups). Conclusions: In open KWPD, IPA is not inferior to TEA in its efficacy of pain control. IPA was associated with less analgesia-related complications and shorter inotrope requirements. However, this was a small retrospective study. Larger randomized controlled trials are needed to study the effectiveness of IPA.

Determining the Relative Importance of Quality Dimensions Using the Kano Model and IPA

  • The Kano model, a two-dimensional quality theory, is widely used as a useful tool for measuring potential customer requirements by utilizing the concept of the Potential Customer Satisfaction Coefficient (PCSC). There is growing evidence that the PCSC, comprising the Potential Satisfaction Coefficient (PSC) and Potential Dissatisfaction Coefficient (PDC) and utilizing Kano's four quality dimensions (A, O, M, and I), can be particularly useful in determining the relative importance of quality characteristics in IPA. Despite prior studies utilizing the PCSC concept for characterizing importance, attempts to determine the relative significance among quality dimensions have been relatively scarce. This study aims to use PCSC and IPA to demonstrate which quality dimension is more significant than the others. The author analysed 32 Kano related articles, encompassing 34 cases, using IPA. The results indicate that the proposed equations are valid for assessing characteristic importance, with O or M is perceived as more important than A or I.

  • IPA(interpattern association) model is a method of feature extraction using a neural network. Even in the case that the reference patterns are simuklar to one another, this model can recover the reference patterns effectively. However, when the pattern whose feature pixels are lost is used as input, this model can not guarantee perfect recovery of the reference pattern. It is proposed a improved interpattern association(IPA) model for the feature extraction using neural network. The improved IPA model that combines the first interconnection weight matrix of the IPA model with the second additional weight matrix is proposed here to overcome the recovery problem of the original IPA model. The results of computer simulation and optical experiment are advanced.

IPA에 의한 추자지역의 도서관광 선택 속성 분석 (Analysis on Selection Attributes of Chujado as Island Tourism using IPA)

  • This study was focused on tourists visiting the Chujado, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province as island tourism. First, this study collected the selection attributes visiting Chujado from literature review and applied the IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis)with the attributes to this research. The results are as follows: First, in the area I, the attributes (climates, exotic atmosphere, tourism information, reservation service, a variety of food, clean food etc.) both with high importance and high performance need to be kept continuously. And, in the area II, the IPA map showed that other attributes (accessibility, a variety of food, accommodation, affordable price etc) with high importance and low performance) need to be improved in the future time. These results can give the implications for establishing an appropriate policy of Chujado tourism development.

  • This paper presents anisotropic ethcing characteristics of single-crystal silicon in tetramethylammonium hydroxide(TMAH):isopropyl alcohol(IPA) solutions containing pyrazine. With the addition of IPA to TMAH solutions, etching characteristics are exhibited that indicate an improvement in flatness on the etching front and a reduction in undercutting, but the etch rate on (100) silicon is decreased. The (100) silicon etch rate is improved by the addition of pyrazine. An etch rate on (100) silicon of $0.8\;{\mu}m/min$, which is faster by 13 % than a 20 wt.% solution of pure TMAH, is obtained using 20 wt.% TMAH:0.5 g/100 ml pyrazine solutions, but the etch rate on (100) silicon is decreased if more pyrazine is added. With the addition of pyrazine to a 25 wt.% TMAH solution, variations in flatness on the etching front were not observed and the undercutting ratio was reduced by 30 ~ 50 %.

  • During the construction work, many deaths and injuries have occurred in the formwork. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of construction workers about the disaster of formwork collapse. In this study, the IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) technique was used to analyze the perception of construction workers and derive urgent factors for improvement. As a result of IPA analysis, the fourth quadrant factor needed to be improved first, and the second quadrant factor needed effort distribution. Therefore, it is judged that this study can be used as basic data for safety management and disaster prevention activities.

  • IPA는 1971년이래 약 120명의 공학박사를 배출했으며, 1986년에 수행된 프로젝트는 약 300건에 달한다. 보다 앞서가기 위한 신기술에 대한 과감한 투자, 연구소 내에서 매우 활발한 정보 교환, 풍부한 전문 잡지 및 서적 보유, 박람회 등을 통한 적극적인 외부 홍보가 인상적이다. 정규 IP A직원 외의 사람들에 대한 배타성은 IPA가 일반대학 연구소와는 성격이 약간 다름을 보여주는 일면이다.

An Unsafe Practice Analysis considering Potential Risk to Foreign Construction Laborers in Korea

  • Recently, the number of accidents reported involving foreign laborers has risen, and the need to prevent accidents at construction sites has become more urgent. It has been found that 90 percent of construction accidents are caused by unsafe work practices, and various studies have been conducted on these practices with the aim of preventing accidents at construction sites. However, the tendency with previous studies was to average the results of survey responses, and as a result it is impossible to consider the potential risk of how many foreign laborers feel unsafe in relation with the unsafe practices. Therefore, in this study, importance-performance analysis (IPA) was improved in order to assess the potential risk of the unsafe practices of foreign laborers at construction sites in Korea. To verify the applicability of the improved IPA, a survey was carried out, and then the results were compared with those of the IPA. Through the use of the improved IPA, unsafe practices that were not found in the previous IPA but have potential risk were identified. The method proposed in this study is expected to contribute to the prevention of construction accidents of foreign workers by enabling a more efficient management.
