A Symbolic Layout Generator for CMOS Standard Cells Using Artificial Intelligence Approach (인공지능 기법을 이용한 CMOS 표준셀의 심볼릭 레이아웃 발생기)

  • SLAGEN, a system for symbolic cell layout based on artificial intelligence approach, takes as input a transistor connection description of CMOS standard cells and environment information, and outputs a symbolic layout description. SLAGEN performas transistor grouping by a heuristic search method, in order to minimize the number of separations, and then performs group reordering and transistor reordering with an eye toward minimizing routing. Next, SLAGEN creates a rough initial routing in order to guarantee functionality and correctness, and then improve the initial routing by a rule-based approach.

  • The purposes of this study are to 1) enforce the necessity of liturgical vestments though clarifying the symbolic meaning, function and ritual importance of Christian liturgical vestments of ministers, 2) figure out the process of changes and characteristics of Christian liturgical vestments of ministers. 3) clarify the liturgical year, symbolic patterns and colors of the liturgical vestments, and 4) study on the status of current liturgical vestments worn by protestant ministers. Based on the catholic and the protestant churches, the scope of the study was decided and the study was conducted along with research on documents and materials. The results are as follows: 1) The liturgical vestments of priests in the Old Testament era had to be worn by stipulated rules and, instructions to perform duties. 2) The liturgical vestment of the catholid church are very various in their kinds and has their unique origins and meanings. 3) The symbolic patterns, color and meanings used by liturgical years of christianity. 4) Design on the liturgical gown and stole of christian ministers.

  • Theatricals have been with human's history for a long time. And It is also receiving a lot of love in modern times. The stage is recognized another space of time by spectators during the play and the production actualize fictional world by using all destination things on the stage. Therefore, the design of the stage has symbolism and the production needs semiological. The Elements expressed through the stage is composed of stage equipment, costume, lighting, stage effects and the production needs light, sound and costume designers, a stage manager, grips an advertising director for the play. The study analysis on symbolic image on the view of semigical with focused on "Vishnvovvi sad" of Anton Chekhov. The details of the study are symbolism of stage effect and costume, lighting, stage equipment. The Study about the Influence of Mathematics Language on Mathematics Reading

  • The study is about the influence of literal, symbolic and graphics languages on mathematics reading. The results show that the scores of symbolic language volume are significantly lower than that of literal language volume. The abstractness of the mathematical symbols will not have a significant impact on the students with excellent mathematical academic, but as for the medium and poor students, abstract mathematics symbols will cause their cognitive impairment. Due to picture-superiority-effect, the test scores of the graphics language volume are significantly higher than that of the symbolic language volume. Graphics language will have a significant impact on the excellent and medium students, but has no impact on the poor students.

  • We propsoed a multiplexed optical correlation filter method for an optical parallel addition based on symbolic substitution. In the proposed mthod, we used redundant binary number which was easy to minimize the number of the symbolic substitution rules. We chose MACE filter which had very low sidelobes and good correlation peak compared with SDF filter as the optical correlation recognition filter and encoded input numbers properly to increase the discrimination capability. In order to minimize the number of symbolic substitution rules, sixteen input patterns were divided into six groups of the same addition results and six filters for recognizing the input patterns were used. these filters were multiplexed in two MMACE filter planes and the corresponding substitution method was proposed. Through the computer simulation, we confirmed the proposed method was suitable to implement the optical parallel adder.

  • The judgement of how good a memorial park is designed in terms of representing symbolic meanings through moonument depends on whether it decisively reflects peoples' common value and affection to specific event or place of the park. It is in fact, not easy to define the kind of value and affections peoples have in mind for the park. It is likely that most park design concepts are primarily based on designer' subjective view of the world by which the public is expected to understand, accept, and eventually share the common symbolic meanings of the park. AS memorial park design as the works of art might be appreciated not only in view of artistic performance of designer but in terms of its social meaning of the newly defined space. Two cases of park designs by author include issues on conceptual alternatives, experience of memorial space, symbolic use of materials, and perspectives on the direction of contemporary park design. It is noteworthy that authentic approaches should be challenged for a new way in which symbolic meanings could be given in rather contradictory style.

  • In this paper, we discuss optimal design of Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks by means of Genetic Algorithms(GAs) using symbolic coding for non-linear data. One of the major subject of genetic algorithms is representation of chromosomes. The proposed model optimized by the means genetic algorithms which used symbolic code to represent chromosomes. The proposed gFPNN used a triangle and a Gaussian-like membership function in premise part of rules and design the consequent structure by constant and regression polynomial (linear, quadratic and modified quadratic) function between input and output variables. The performance of the proposed model is quantified through experimentation that exploits standard data already used in fuzzy modeling. These results reveal superiority of the proposed networks over the existing fuzzy and neural models.

  • In [9], Geramita, Harbourne, and Migliore find a graded minimal free resolution of the 2nd order symbolic power of the ideal of a linear star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ n of any codimension r. In [8], Geramita, Galetto, Shin, and Van Tuyl extend the result on a general star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ but for codimension 2. In this paper, we find a graded minimal free resolution of the 2nd order symbolic power of the ideal of a general star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ of any codimension r using a matroid configuration in [10]. This generalizes both the result on a linear star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ of codimension r in [9] and the result on a general star configuration in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ of codimension 2 in [8].

  • A new control scheme is proposed in this paper which can cope with varying environment as results of load disturbances, changes of plant dynamics, and failures of components. The objective of this paper is to blend numeric-to-symbolic conversion techniques with linear conventional controllers so as to adapt to the varying environment of the system. The control scheme is based on the parametrization of stabilizing controllers, which is called Kucera/Yula parametrization. The parametrization has been extended to the class of systems which contain numeric-to-symbolic converters. It is shown how the numeric-to-symbolic converters can be blended with the linear controllers.
