The use of System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions in the design of on-board data handling systems is an important step towards further miniaturization in space. However, the Total Ionizing Dose (TID) and Single Event Effects (SEE) characterization of these complex devices present new challenges that are either not fully addressed by current testing guidelines or may result in expensive, cumbersome test configurations. In this paper we report the test setups, procedures and results for TID testing of a SoC microcontroller both using standard $^{60}Co$ and low-energy protons beams. This paper specifically points out the differences in the test methodology and in the challenges between TID testing with proton beam and with the conventional gamma ray irradiation. New test setup and procedures are proposed which are capable of emulating typical mission conditions (clock, bias, software, reprogramming, etc.) while keeping the test setup as simple as possible at the same time.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate clinical changes in graft size after treatment with connective tissue autograft in human. 40 premolar teeth in 23 patients having the following mucogingival problemswere selected. The width of extension, attached gingiva including free marginal gingiva, width of transplant and clinical sulcus depth were measured at the initial examination, 2, 12 and 24 weeks following the connective tissue autograft and free gingival autograft. The change of width of extension, attached gingiva including free marginal gingiva, width of transplant and clinical sulcus depth according to healing process in both graft procedures was statistically analyzed by ANOVA test and independent ttest using SPSS program. The results were as follows : 1. The change of keratinized gingiva in both grafting procedures was increased significantly at 24 weeks post-op. 2. The clinical sulcus depth exhibited no marked changes throughoutthe entire investigation in both grafting procedures. 3 . After 12 weeks, no dimensional variation was seen in graft size in both grafting procedures. 4. Shrinkage differs significantly in both grafting procedures. From the day of graft to 24 weeks after surgery the percentages of shrinkage were connective tissue autograft 55% and free gingival autograft 29%.

This work evaluates the performance of a number of seismic assessment procedures when applied to a case study reinforced concrete (RC) wall building. The performance of each procedure is evaluated through its ability to accurately predict deformation demands, specifically, roof displacement, inter-storey drift ratio and wall curvatures are considered as the key engineering demand parameters. The different procedures include Direct Displacement-Based Assessment, nonlinear static analysis and nonlinear dynamic analysis. For the latter two approaches both lumped and distributed plasticity modelling are examined. To thoroughly test the different approaches the case study building is considered in different configurations to include the effects of unequal length walls and plan asymmetry. Recommendations are made as to which methods are suited to different scenarios, in particular focusing on the balance that needs to be made between accurate prediction of engineering demand parameters and the time and expertise required to undertake the different procedures. All methods are shown to have certain merits, but at the same time a number of the procedures are shown to have areas requiring further development. This work also highlights a number of key aspects related to the seismic response of RC wall buildings that may significantly impact the results of an assessment. These include the influence of higher-mode effects and variations in spectral shape with ductility demands.

In this paper, we use the moments of order statistics derived by Lieblein (1955) to develop the correlation goodness-of-fit test for the Rayleigh distribution. In such we simulate the percentage points of the test statistics for the one-parameter and two-parameter cases. In addition, we calculate the power of the proposed tests based on some alterative distributions. Finally, we apply the procedures developed in the paper to some real data.
GLP regulations were initially “promulgated to address assuring the validity of data in the wake of investigations by EPA and FDA during the mid -1970's which revealed that some studies submitted to the agencies had not been conducted in accordance with acceptable laboratory practices.” [1] In the early 1970s, results of an investigation by the FDA in about 40 laboratories revealed many cases of badly managed studies, poor training of personnel and some cases of deliberate fraud. The general findings were that there were poorly trained study directors and study personnel, poorly designed protocols, protocols not followed, procedures not conducted as described, raw data badly collected, data not correctly identified, data without traceability, data not verified and approved by responsible persons, lack of standardised procedures, poor animal husbandry, inadequate characterisation of test items and test systems, inadequate resources, equipment poorly calibrated or otherwise qualified, reports not sufficiently verified, not an accurate account of the actual study, not a proper reflection of raw data and inadequate archiving of data. These problems are not just past history, since they resurface time and time again, even in quite recent times as the experience of GLP inspectors shows [1]. The GLPs specify minimum practices and procedures in order to ensure the quality and integrity of data submitted in accordance with a regulatory requirement
This study was intended to analyze whether there would be difference in awareness of the Evaluative Accreditation System(the administrative procedures of Evaluative Accreditation, the effect of Evaluative Accreditation, and the preferred public support types for encouraging participation in Evaluative Accreditation) between child-care directors and teachers, and among the types of child-care centers. The questionnaires were administrated to 168 child-care directors and 423 child-care teachers in Gyeonggido. Data analyses were conducted by descriptive statistics, the chi-test and the t-test. The main results were as follows. First, there was significant difference in awareness of the administrative procedures of Evaluative Accreditation among the types of child-care centers. Second, there was difference in awareness of the effect of Evaluative Accreditation on child-care service areas between child-care center directors and teachers, and among the types of child-care centers in terms of child-care services. Third, in terms of the preferred public support for the encouragement of participation in Evaluative Accreditation, there was difference between child-care center directors and teachers, and among the types of child-care centers.
In order to determine procedures for a, pp.opriate model selection of technological growth curves, numerous time series that were representative of growth behavior were collected according to data characteristics. Three different growth curve models were fitted onto data sets in an attempt to determine which growth curve models achieved the best forecasts for types of growth data. The analysis of the results gives rise to an a, pp.oach for selecting a, pp.opriate growth curve models for a given set of data, prior to fitting the models, based on the characteristics of the goodness of fit test.

The Bayesian model selection procedures for the shape parameter of gamma distribution are proposed in order to test that the failure rate of gamma distribution is constant, increasing or decreasing. The encompassing intrinsic Bayes factor by Beger and Pericchi (1996) based on Jeffreys prior for shape parameter is used to investigate the usefulness of the proposed Bayesian model selection procedures via both real data and pseudo data.
This article is concerned with procedures for detecting one or more outliers or influential observations in a linear regression model. A test procedure, based on recursive residuals is proposed and developed The power of the test procedure to identify one or more outliers is investigated through simulation, and its relevance to the number and configuration of the outlier.
