This paper is research results of investigating the elastic settlement behavior of the coastal caisson structure built on the sandy deposit by comparing results of centrifuge model experiments and those of existing methods of estimating elastic settlement. Basic soil property tests such as specific gravity test, grain size distribution test and organic content test with disturbed soil sampled from the site were carried out. The centrifuge experiment of model satisfying the required design criteria was performed under 50 of artificial accelerated gravitational force condition. The Centrifuge model experimental results were compared and analyzed with the current methods of estimating settlement based on the elastic modulus obtained from the results of odeometer tests and empirical methods from literature reviews.

In this study, we conducted geophysical investigations for the organization of integrated geophysical methods to detect underground cavities of ground subsidence area at the field test site, located at Yongweol-ri, Muan-gun. We examined the applicability of geophysical methods such as electrical resistivity, electromagnetic, and microgravity to cavity detection with the aid of borehole survey results. Underground cavities are widely present within the limestone bedrock overlain by the alluvial deposits in the area of the test site where the ground subsidences have occurred in the past. The limestone cavities are mostly filled with groundwater and clays in the test site. Thus, cavities have low electrical resistivity and density compared to the surrounding host bedrock. The results of the study have shown that the zones of low resistivity and density correspond to the zones of the cavities identified in the boreholes at the site, and that the geophysical methods used are very effective to detect underground cavities. Furthermore, we could map the distribution of cavities more precisely with the test results incorporated from the various geophysical methods. It is also important to notice that the microgravity method is a very promising tool since it has rarely used for the cavity detection in korea. Beyond the investigation of underground cavities, the geophysical methods are required to provide useful information for the reinforcement design for the ground subsidence areas. It is, therefore, necessary to develop integrated geophysical technique incorporating different geophysical methods to precisely map underground cavities and image the subsurface of the ground subsidence areas.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mother's characteristics, mediated by disciplinary methods and young children's emotional regulation, on young children's aggression. Subjects of this study consisted of 342 young children drawn from seven preschools in Cheongju city. The pilot study was used to examine the applicability of survey instrument. Data were analyzed by the method of frequency, percentage, Cronbach' ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, T-test. F-test, and Duncan post-hoc test using SPSSWIN program. The test of model was done with analysis of correlational matrix in LISREL VII package using a maximum likehood estimation. The results of this research were as follows: First, there were statistically significant differences in mother's characteristics consisting of neurosis symptom and extroversions, disciplinary methods consisting of coercive-punishment and indifferent-irresponsibility, young children's emotional regulation, and young children's aggression consisting of relation and overtness according to some socio-demographic variables. Girls had the higher emotional regulation than boys. Second, the direct effects of disciplinary methods and emotional regulation on boys' aggression were different in between relational and overt aggression. Third, the variables predicting boys' emotional regulation directly were the same in both relational and overt aggression. Forth, the direct effect of mother's characteristics on disciplinary methods was different in between coercive-punishment and indifferent-irresponsibility. Fifth, the indirect effects of mother's characteristics, mediated by disciplinary methods and young children's emotional regulation, on young children's aggression were partly supported in this study. Sixth, the theoretical model of the impact of mother's characteristics, disciplinary methods, and young children's emotional regulation on young children's aggression was different according to gender.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to show current states of domestic Precision Guided Missile(PGM) by analyzing Live-fire test results using general methods to get the Confidence Levels. Methods: Live-fire test results were used to get Confidence Levels of PGM. The Confidence Levels were derived by two general methods. The first method was Binomial distribution and second was convergence of Hypergeometric distribution and Bayes' rule. Results: The results of this study are as follows; The more Live-fire tests of PGM are performed, the higher Confidence Level of PGM will be estimated. And the number of Live-fire tests are related to a unit price of PGM. This results means that the increase of live-fire test, which is useful data for preparation and evaluation of Development Tests / Operation Tests for PGMs, is only way to enhance the Confidence Levels of each PGMs. Conclusion: This study shows the relationship between the Live-fire tests and Confidence Levels of PGMs and it will be used on Live-fire Test & Evaluation of PGMs for reference.
The nondestructive test is widely used in the field of diagnosis and maintenance to evaluate the degree of damaging of structures caused by aging, and the demand for this test method is expected to continue increasing. However, there is a lack of standards related to the nondestructive test, and South Korea is relying heavily on developed nations for original technologies related to diagnosis. It is an urgent task to establish a nondestructive test method appropriate for the circumstance of South Korea. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze estimated error of compressive strength in single-story structures comprised of vertical and horizontal reinforced concrete members using the impact testing method and rebound hardness method, which are nondestructive test methods, and to review on-site applicability of these methods. Based on compressive strength of the structures estimated, overall mean error was 21.2% for the impact testing method and 15.6% for the rebound hardness method. The necessity of a reliable diagnostic method based on compound nondestructive test methods to increase accuracy of estimation was confirmed.
In this paper, the evaluating test methods of the fire and the electric shock on the Electric pad using the house is proposed. We analyzed electric pad using magnetic shielded type hot wire because electric pad using the magnetic shielded type hot wire generally be used in the home. We analyzed FMEA in order to analyze the mechanism of the fire and the electric shock of the electric pad and designed testing methods (Durability tests on the environment, Mechanical durability tests, Electrical durability tests) obtained through the two-step QFD and tested. We verified the evaluating test methods of the fire and the electric shock on the Electric pad using the house through the analysis of the test results.

A modified Bagdonavičius-Nikulin chi-square goodness-of-fit is defined and studied. The lymphoma data is analyzed using the modified goodness-of-fit test statistic. Different non-Bayesian estimation methods under complete samples schemes are considered, discussed and compared such as the maximum likelihood least square estimation method, the Cramer-von Mises estimation method, the weighted least square estimation method, the left tail-Anderson Darling estimation method and the right tail Anderson Darling estimation method. Numerical simulation studies are performed for comparing these estimation methods. The potentiality of the new model is illustrated using three real data sets and compared with many other well-known generalizations.
To establish the simple and practical test method of estimating resistance of rice varieties against rice leafblight, trials were made to correlate among the four test methods such as true resistance test, secondaryinfection test, secondary epidemic test and field test. The results obtained through the experiment on 25 ricevarieties and 3 pathogenic isolates designated to HB9O11, HB9022 and HB9033 can be summarized asfollows. 1 .Based on the results of true resistance test, 25 rice varieties can be classified into four groups:1 )Samgang variety group ;resistant to HB9011, 13 varieties, 2)Pungsan variety group ; resistant to HB9011 and HB9022, 5 varieties, 3)Samgang variety group ; resistant to all three isolates, 2 varieties, 4)Unbongvariety group: sensitive to all three isolates, 12 varieties. 2. The responses of rice varieties to isolates showed some discrepancies among on the test methods. These examples were found in 3 varieties including Yeongdeog varieties to HB9011, 3 varieties including Taebaeg variety to HB9022 and Taebaek vaieties to HB9033. 3. Correlation coefficiences between the secondary infection test and the secondary epidemic test for HB9011, HB9022 and HB9033 were 0.972, 0.894 and 0.919, respectively. It suggests that the two methods are not significantly different so that one of the two methods are not significantly different so that one of the two methods can be omitted from resistant test without affecting the result. 4. Between the true resistance test and the field test at the disease common area, there were no significant correlations. Unbong, Chucheong and Yeongdeog varieties are appeared as resistant varieties in the true resistant test, but their responses in the field test were different and appeared as sensitive varieties. 5. The disease index was used to express theresults from four test methods. The disease index was calculated as the sum of each numerical values of theresults from the four test methods by giving the same weights(0 to 25)to each test method. If the disease index for certain variety is less than 15, then the variety is considered to be resistant. 4 varieties such as Seohae, Hwajin, Yeongdeog and Pungsan varieties-disease indices were less than 15 were selected as field resistance varieties.
