Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether the internal abutment length affected screw stability in an internal connection implant. Materials and methods: Twenty long internal connection implants (Replus system, $4.7{\times}11.5mm$) were selected for this investigation. Abutments were assigned to four groups depending on the length of the internal connection (abutments with internal lengths of 1, 2, 3, and 4 mm, respectively). Each implant fixture specimen was embedded in resin medium and connected to an abutment with an abutment screw. A load of 100 N, applied at an angle of $30^{\circ}$ to the long axis of the implant, was repeated for $1.0{\times}10^6$ cycles. Reverse torque values (RTV) were recorded before and after loading, and the change in RTV was calculated. Data were analyzed with the Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: The change in RTV was not significantly different among the groups (P>.05). Screw loosening and fractures were not observed in any groups, and joint stability was maintained. Conclusion: The internal length of the abutment may not significantly affect the degree of screw loosening.
PURPOSE. This study evaluated the fracture load of customized zirconia abutments with titanium insert according to preparation depths, with or without 5-year artificial aging. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Thirty-six identical lithium disilicate crowns (IPS e.max press) were fabricated to replace a maxillary right central incisor and cemented to the customized zirconia abutment with titanium insert on a $4.5{\times}10$ mm titanium fixture. Abutments were fabricated with 3 preparation depths (0.5 mm, 0.7 mm, and 0.9 mm). Half of the samples were then processed using thermocycling (temperature: $5-55^{\circ}C$, dwelling time: 120s) and chewing simulation (1,200,000 cycles, 49 N load). All specimens were classified into 6 groups depending on the preparation depth and artificial aging (non-artificial aging groups: N5, N7, N9; artificial aging groups: A5, A7, A9). Static load was applied at 135 degrees to the implant axis in a universal testing machine. Statistical analyses of the results were performed using 1-way ANOVA, 2-way ANOVA, independent t-test and multiple linear regression. RESULTS. The fracture loads were $539.28{\pm}63.11$ N (N5), $406.56{\pm}28.94$ N (N7), $366.66{\pm}30.19$ N (N9), $392.61{\pm}50.57$ N (A5), $317.94{\pm}30.05$ N (A7), and $292.74{\pm}37.15$ N (A9). The fracture load of group N5 was significantly higher than those of group N7 and N9 (P<.017). Consequently, the fracture load of group A5 was also significantly higher than those of group A7 and A9 (P<.05). After artificial aging, the fracture load was significantly decreased in all groups with various preparation depths (P<.05). CONCLUSION. The fracture load of a single anterior implant restored with lithium disilicate crown on zirconia abutment with titanium insert differed depending on the preparation depths. After 5-year artificial aging, the fracture loads of all preparation groups decreased significantly.

Among these satellites, low - orbit small satellites with military characteristics require multi - target observation, and demand for high-resolution photographs and images is increasing. Fast maneuverability is the most important factor for high-resolution images and multi - target observations. However, in the case of a small satellites, it is possible to perform the attitude maneuver if it has high speed, but the residual vibration occurs when the attitude maneuver is completed and the next attitude maneuver is completed. In this study, to verify the vibration characteristics of the plate generated after attitude maneuver, an experimental fixture for simulating the attitude maneuver was fabricated and tested. In addition, Eddy Current Damper (ECD) using Eddy Current Brake system (ECB) is proposed as a passive damping method using permanent magnet to reduce vibration. A mathematical model was established to apply ECD and it was experimentally implemented according to the magnetic flux density and the air gap of the permanent magnet. One plate of four solar panels (plate) was specified, the residual vibration reduction performance after the test was verified experimentally.

The purpose of this study was to determine a method to prevent damage during the transfer of loading through optimal design of loading transfer software for an ammunition-carrying armored vehicle. Typically, an ammunition carrier armored car is equipped with an automated charge transfer system. The load is intermittently damaged during the loading of the cargo, and this needs to be improved. The following improvements and verification tests were carried out. As impact speed increased, the loading speed was reduced 60%, and a special fixture utilizing a force gauge was developed and tested. If the maximum current of 11A for the servo controller is output when the load of the conveyor is generated by interference inside the loading tube, there is a possibility of charge breakage. If the maximum current is low, the load cannot be loaded. In the loading test for the ammunition carrier armored car with the actual charge, the improved design was found to be valid, as the load was not damaged and occurred nominally.
There is a progressive development in the medical imaging technology, especially of descriptive capability for anatomical structure of human body thanks to advancement of information technology and medical devices. But however maintenance of correct posture is essential for the medical imaging checkup on the shoulder joint requiring rotation of the upper limb due to the complexity of human body. In the cases of MRI examination, long duration and fixed posture are critical, as failure to comply with them leads to minimal possibility of reproducibility only with the efforts of the examiner and will of the patient. Thus, this study aimed to develop an auxiliary device that enables rotation of the upper limb as well as fixing it at quantitative angles for medical imaging examination capable of providing diagnostic values. An auxiliary device has been developed based on the results of precedent studies, by designing a 3D model with the CATIA software, an engineering application, and producing it with the 3D printer. The printer is Objet350 Connex from Stratasys, and acrylonitrile- butadiene-styrene(ABS) is used as the material of the device. Dimensions are $120{\times}150{\times}190mm$, with the inner diameter of the handle being 125.9 mm. The auxiliary device has 4 components including the body (outside), handle (inside), fixture terminal and the connection part. The body and handle have the gap of 2.1 mm for smooth rotation, while the 360 degree of scales have been etched on the handle so that the angle required for observation may be recorded per patient for traceability and dual examination.
Statement of problem. Primary implant stability has long been identified as a prerequisite to achieve osseointegration. So the application of a simple, clinically applicable noninvasive test to assess implant stability and osseiointegratation are considered highly desirable. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ISQ value and the insertion torque of the 3 different implant system, then to evaluate whether there was a correlation between ISQ value and insertion torque; and to determine whether implant design has an influence on either insertion torque or ISQ value. Material and method. The experiment was composed of 3 groups: depending on the implant fixture design. Group1 was Branemark type parallel implant in $3.75{\times}7mm$. Group2 was Oneplant type straight implant in $4.3{\times}8.5mm$. Group3 was Oneplant type tapered implant in $4.3{\times}8.5mm$. Depending on the density of the bone, 2 types of bone were used in this experiment. Type I bone represented for cortical bone, type II bone represented for cancellous bone. With the insertion of the implant in type I and type II bone, the insertion torque was measured, then the ISQ value was evaluated, and then the correlation between insertion torque and ISQ value was analyzed Result and conclusion. Within the limitations of this study, the following conclusions were drawn. 1. Within the 3 different implants, the insertion torque value and ISQ value were higher in type I bone, when compared with type II bone.(p<0.05) 2. In type I and type II bone, Oneplant type tapered implant has the highest value in insertion torque.(p<0.05) 3. In type I and type II bone, there was no difference in ISQ values among the 3 types of implant. (p>0.05) 4. Significant linear correlation was found in $Br{\aa}nemark$ type parallel implant: $3.75{\times}7mm$ in type II bone.

Purpose : This study was designed to evaluate the influence of implant abutment materials on detorque value and screw joint stability before and after dynamic fatigue test. Materials & Methods : The external hexagonal fixture and three different groups of abutment (titanium abutments, zirconia abutments, and UCLA abutments) were used. The detorque value before loading and after loading (cyclic loading up to $10^5$ cycles) of the abutment screw were measured. Result : 1. There was no significant difference in detorque value before loading among the each group. 2. There was no significant difference in detorque value after loading among the each group. 3. Detorque values before and after cyclic loading in each group were not significantly different. 4. There was no significant difference in loss percentage of removal torque before loading among the each group. 5. There was no significant difference in loss percentage of removal torque after loading among the each group. 6. There was no significant difference in loss percentage of removal torque according to loading among the each group. Conclusion : Short term screw loosening of three types of abutment was not significantly different. When bite force was applied, there was no significant difference in screw loosening between before loading and after loading.
Table strapis patient fixture for securing the patient movements and falls. if it designed to measure the abdominal circumference and used as an indicator of dose selection at CT scan. it will prevent the overexposure of dose without degradation of image quality and efficiently manage dose of each type of body to technician to deal with CT. First, in order to compare the dose used in CT image and qualitative characteristics. reference image is obtained by examining the abdominal phantom in same conditions with the hospital 120 kVp, 200 mAs, D-Dom (Dynamic Dose Of Modulation). SNR, PSNR, RMSE, MAE, CTDIvol of CT images are compared with reference image. for comparing with reference image, the image that Umbilicus level image of Abdomen CT is stored in the PACS were used. For comparison, the top 12 o'clock portion of the air drawn from the same ROI was measured. CTDIvol, mAs, etc. In order to analyze the characteristics of the image, by measuring the length of the umbilicus circumference, pattern of the dose was analyzed. by using the analyzed perimeter and dose information, To be identified visually, fixed band that scale marked were produced. Use them, If the length of circumference of less than 60 cm 100 mAs, Case of 61~80 cm 120 mAs, Case of 80~100 cm 150 mAs, more than 100 cm 200 mAs, dose selection based on the perimeter, the image was applied. by compare analyzed with the Reference Image, image quality was assessed. by compare with existing tests that equally 200 mAs applied, How much was confirmed that the dose reduction. 1. Depending on the Abdominal circumference, the average PSNR(dB) of the image that differently dose applied was 45.794. 2. Comparing with existing test. the dose of scan that adjusted the mAs depending on the circumference was decreased about 40%. SNR and PSNR of the image that obtained by adjusting the standard mAs based on dose modulation were not much different. Therefore, By choosing a low mAs. dose reduction can be obtained. and the dose selection method that measured Abdominal circumference using a fixed band can protect the overexposure and uniformly apply dose of each type of body to technician to deal with CT.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of mobilization on bone-implant interface prior to osseointegration of fixtures. Materials and methods: The experimental implants (3.75 mm in diameter, 4.0 mm in length) were made of commercially pure (Grade IV) titanium, and were treated with RBM ($MegaGen^{(R)}$: Ca-P). The 80 implants (two in each tibia) were inserted into the monocortical tibias of 20 rabbits which each weighed more than 3.5 kg (Female, New Zealand White). According to the removal torque interval, the groups were divided into 10 groups, Group I (6 wks), Group II (4 days+6 wks), Group III (4 days+1 wk+6 wks), Group IV (1 wk+6 wks), Group V (1 wk+1 wk+6 wks), Group VI (2 wks+6 wks), Group VII (2 wks+ 1 wk+6 wk), Group VIII (3 wks+6 wks), Group IX (3 wks+1 wk+6 wks) and Group X (10 wks). The control groups were Group I and X, the removal torque was measured at 6 wks and 10 wks with a digital torque gauge (Mark-10, USA). In the experimental groups, the removal torque was given once or twice before the final removal torque and the value was measured each time. After which, the implants were put back where they had been except the control groups. All the experimental groups were given a final healing time (6 wks) before the final removal torque test, in which values were compared with the control groups and the 1st and/or 2nd removal torque values in each experimental group. Results: In the final removal torque tests, the removal torque value of Group X (10 wks) was higher than that of Group I (6 wks) in the control groups but not statistically different. There were no significant differences between the experimental groups and control groups (P>.05). In the first removal torque comparison, the experimental groups (4 days or 1 wk) values were significantly lower than the other experimental groups (2 wks or 3 wks). In the comparison of each experimental group according to healing time, the final removal torque value was significantly higher than the 1st torque test value. Conclusion: Once or twice mobilization of fixture prior to osseointegration did not deter the final bone to implant osseointegration, if sufficient healing time was given.

Despite an improved bone reactions of Mg-incorporated implants in the animals, little yet has been carried out by the experimental investigations in functional loading conditions. This study investigated the clinical and histologic parameters of osseointegrated Mg-incorporated implants in delayed loading conditions. A total of 36 solid screw implants (diameter 3.75 mm, length 10mm) were placed in the mandibles of 6 beagle dogs. Test groups included 18 Mg-incorporated implants. Turned titanium Implants served as control. Gold crowns were inserted 3 months. Radiographic assessments and stabilitytests were performed at the time of fixture installation, $2^{nd}$ stage surgery, 1 and 3 months after loading. Histological observations and morphometrical measurements were also performed. Of 36 implants, 32 displayed no discernible mobility, corresponding to successful clinical function. There was no statistically significant difference between test implants and controls in marginal bone levels (p=0.413) and RFA values. The mean BIC % in the Mg-implants was $54.4{\pm}20.2%$. The mean BIC % in the turned implant was $48.9{\pm}8.0%$. These differences between the Mg-implant and control implant were not statistically significant (P=0.264). In the limitation of this study, bone-to-implant contact (BIC) and bone area of Mg-incorporated oxidized implant were similar to machine-turned implant. The stability analysis showed no significantly different ISQ values and marginal bone loss between two groups. Considering time-dependent bone responses of Mg-implant, it seems that Mg-implants enhanced bone responses in early loading conditions and osseointegrated similarly to cp Ti implants in delayed loading conditions. However, further investigations are necessary to obtain long-term bone response of the Mg-implant in human.
