  • A new method for making automatic electroencephalogram(EEG) report based on the automatic quantitative interpretation of awake EEG was developed. We first analysed a. relationship between EEG reports and quantitative EEG interpretation done by a qualified electroencephalographer(EEGer) for 22 subjects. Based on the analysed relationship and usual process of report making by the EEGer, we defined all terminology necessary for EEG report and established rules for EEG report making. By the combined use of the proposed EEG report making and the method for automatic quantitative EEG interpretation presented at '90 KACC, we were able to make the automatic EEG reports which were equivalent to the EEG reports written by the EEGer. As all the procedures were programmed in a personal computer equipped with an AD (analogue-to-digital) converter, the automatic EEG reports were obtained in almost real time in usual actual EEG recording situation with only a few seconds time lag for the analysis in the computer. The proposed report making method and the quantitative EEG interpretation method will be effectively applicable to the clinical use as an assistant tool for physicians.

  • For the commerce of sensual goods such as textile products, feel and touch is very important. Although on-line B2B commerce in textile materials are increasing currently, off-line sample exchange process is also required in order to make a decision. So far it is evident that the means of on-line communication is not sufficient to both customers and suppliers. The aim of this study is to improve the e-catalogues, which is the equivalent of showroom of off-line business, by analyzing information items offered in currently opened B2B sites and to categorize the essential information items to be included in the I-catalogues. The study was carried out as follows: First e-catalogues of many B2B sites were compared and analyzed from the viewpoint of customers, apparel manufacturers. Second, apparel manufacturers were interviewed to find out what causes the inconvenience, which prevent them to do B2B commerce. Third, on the basis of these n analysis, the researcher categorized information items of the e-catalogue. The apparel manufacturers were interviewed on the feasibility of the information items researcher suggested forth, With the results, we proposed an e-catalogue of 53 information items. Fifth, Another point of this study is that we tried to clarify the terminology for e-catalogue. Often textile traders and apparel manufacturers understand a same information with difference.

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine the level of use of essential oriental nursing terms and related characteristics among nurses in oriental medicine (OM) hospitals. Method: A cross-sectional survey design with convenience sampling was employed. Questionnaires were used to collect data from 315 nurses in seven university-affiliated OM hospitals. The questionnaire included 174 oriental nursing terms about actions, tests, drugs, and theories. Multiple regression analysis was performed to determine factors associated with the level of use. Results: The response rate was 98.1% (n=309). Overall mean score for use of essential oriental nursing terms was 2.7(${\pm}\;0.7$) on a five-point Likert scale. Significant factors associated with the level of use were workplace and knowledge of oriental nursing theory terms. Nurses who worked in nursing care wards and those who had a higher level of knowledge of oriental nursing theories had a higher level of use. Conclusions: These findings indicate that level of use of essential oriental nursing terms were below average. Educational programs to enhance knowledge of oriental nursing theories need to be implemented for nurses in OM hospitals, considering their workplace, in order to facilitate nursing data sharing and communication among healthcare providers.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze and evaluate the characteristics of online catalogs' interface of children's libraries, and to propose how to design user-friendly interfaces. The online catalogs of 77 children's libraries which are registered on the National Library Statistics System as of December 2011 were analyzed. They are categorized into 7 types based on interface's characteristics. Such topics as the features of search methods, the record display formats, the terminology usage, and the special features of the 7 types were examined and discussed. Some shortcomings were examined and how to improve them was suggested.

  • The granitic rocks, so called Masanite, characterized by the micrographic, mylmekitic and perthitic textures, and zonal structure of the plagioclase in the Masan, Changwon and Jinhae areas belong to normal granite and granodiorite based on the modal analysis. These petrographic features strongly suggest the shallow emplacement of the plutons which are defined a typical calc-alkaline suite and I-type granitoids. The pressures of emplacement of the granitic plutons using the amphibole geobarometer were calculated to be 1.2kbar in the Masan area and 1.4kbar in the Changwon area. Their amphibole-plagioclase equilibrium temperatures were obtained to be $638^{\circ}C$ for the former ones and $724^{\circ}C$ for the latter. Homogenization temperatures and salinities for the type HI and IV fluid inclusions in quartz range from 298 to $541^{\circ}C$ (av. $425^{\circ}C$), and 10.5 to 34.6 wt.% NaCl (av. 28.2 wt.% NaCl), respectively. Gas compositions of the granitic rocks with fairly high $CO_2$ concentration relative to CH, correspond to the magnetite series granite of the mantle source. The terminology of the Masanite is not recommended usage. Because it is hard to discriminate in terms of petrological and petrogenetical characteristics between the Masanite and the Bulguksa granites in the Kyeongsang basin.

  • Purpose : We try to disclose how much the keywords of the papers from the Korean Journal of Emergency Medical Services with Medical Subject Headings(MeSH) terminologies and to understand the major subjects of the recent emergency medical technology research in Korea from keywords. Methods : We analyzed keywords from 524 articles of the Korean Journal of Emergency Medical Services that were published between 2005 and 2011. We investigated frequently used keywords and what percentages of keywords agree with MeSH terms using the MeSH browser. Results : There were on average 3.2 keywords per article. The most frequent key words were AED, Attitude, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, CPR, EMT, EMT students, External Defibrillator, Job satisfaction, Knowledge, 119 EMT in order. The number of terms in precise agreement with MeSH headings was 101(19.3%); 327 terms(62.4%) were not found in the MeSH browser and 96 terms(18.3%) partially matched MeSH terms. Conclusion : Many keywords used in the Korean Journal of Emergency Medical Services did not agree with MeSH terms. We conclude that contribution rules should be using MeSH terms and authors should be educated in the proper use of MeSH terms in their research and subsequent publication.

  • Generally, inaccurate reports on environmental issues occur due to various factors. The purpose of this study was to find out a way to enhance accuracy of environmental reporting. So the reporters' career and college major had been compared to the accuracy of their articles. The by-lined environmental articles in nine dailies published in 1991 were checked. Results of this study were as follows. (I) Inaccuracy rate in environmental articles was 54.2%. Inaccuracies appeared 1.7 times per an article, while the average frequency of inaccuracies in overall articles was 0.9 time. (2) Errors in the articles consist of 65.8% of subjective inaccuracies and 34.2% of subjective inaccuracies. They derive from the false usage of terminology(15.8% ),misquotation(14.5%), incorrect statistics(13%), exaggeration(13%), inaccurate title(7.9%), and false comparison(5%). (3) Inaccuracy rate by the type of articles was 66.7% in columns, 60% in feature stories, 54.5% in-depth stories, 40.9% in straight news, respectively. (4) Inaccuracy rate by the specific field was shown 71.4% in environmental impacts assessment, 52.5% in water pollution, 37.5% in waste management, and 35.7% in air pollution. (5) According to the result of chi-square test analysis, there were no statistically significant differences of inaccuracy rate and of subjective, and objective inaccuracies relevant to the period of reporters' career covering environmental reporting and the nature of articles, and college major.
