현대 산업에 있어 그 비중이 급속히 증가하고 있는 물류산업의 효율적인 업무 처리와 국제 경쟁력 확보를 위하여 물류정보시스템 구축이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이는 컴퓨터 기술의 발달과 함께 시간, 인력 및 비용이 많이 소요되던 종래의 거래서류 처리업무를 EDI 로 처리함으로써 가능해졌다고 볼 수 있다. 거의 30 여년간 기업간 온라인 상거래의 기본 수단으로 이용되어 온 EDI 의 동적인 변화 대응부족이나 고가의 네트워크 유지비용 등의 문제점을 극복하기 위해 유연한 변화수용 능력과 뛰어난 확장성을 가진 차세대 웹 문서인 XML을 이용한 XML/EDI가 등장하였다. XML/EDI는 XML, EDI, Agent, Template, Repository 의 5 가지 요소로 구성되어 있으며, 다른 요소들의 기본이 되는 Repository 는 거래에 필요한XML/EDI 태그들의 정의 및 의미를 저장하고 있으며 거래 당사자들이 검색하여 볼 수 있는 인터넷상의 공유 디렉토리를 말한다. 본 연구는 XML/EDI 물류정보시스템 구축을 위한 전 단계로서 현재 개념 적으로만 정립되어 있는 Global XML Repository 의 구성에 관한 연구이다. 특히 KEDIFACT 표준을 따르는 물류 EDI 를 바탕으로 Global XML Repository 내의 구성요소들을 정의하고 체계적으로 분류하는 것을 중점적으로 연구하였다.

This paper presents a query processing model in a wrapper based on the XML view tree. The query processing in a wrapper requires view composition, query translation into local sources, and generation of XML documents from local query results. We present a query processing model based on the view tree, where the XML views and the XML query is represented by the view tree. Since the view tree keeps the structure of a virtual XML document, it is easy to navigate the path expression. The view tree is also used as a template for schema generation and XML document generation as a query result. Moreover this conceptual uniform abstraction for the XML view and the user query makes it easy to support a multi-level XML view and to implement our composition mechanism.

XML은 Web에서 운영되는 모든 데이터 표현에 대한 표준이다. 여러 웹 소스들로부터 이질적인 데이터를 XML 데이터로 통합할 수 있다. 많은 연구자들이 XML처리에 대한 연구를 해 왔다. 이러한 연구의 집합체로서, 우리는 XML 데이터의 효율적인 저장, 추출, 질의, 웹 환경에서의 응용을 위한 기반 시스템인 XWEET를 제안, 구현하였다. XWEET는 XML 데이터의 표현을 위해 XDM이라는 데이터 모델을 사용하였으며, XML 데이터의 저장을 위해 PDM을, 이질적인 정보 소스로부터의 데이터 통합을 위해 Wrapper와 XWS를, 서로 다른 XML 문서 형식의 통합된 표현을 위해 XSI를 제공한다. 이렇게 통합, 저장된 데이터는 XML/QL 형식의 질의를 통해 접근되며, XQP는 제공되는 질의를 처리한다. 또한, 사용자들은 웹 환경에서 수행괴는 응용을 작성할 수 있는 기반을 제공받는다. WPG와 HTML/XML Template는 웹 응용의 수행 결과를 정의된 HTML이나 XML로 생성하도록 해 주며, WebTP는 웹기반 워크플로우를 위한 기반 기능을 제공한다.

This paper addresses the query processing component of a wrapper system for a relational database model based on the XML view in integrating databases. The schema of a relational database is represented as XML Schema that is proposed by W3C. Users submit a query using the XML query language XQuery over the XML Schema. The wrapper system to be developed supports an user-defined XML view. XQuery is also used as the view definition language. In this environment, this paper suggests a new XML query processing model. We propose the composition algorithm of an XML view with an user query, the translation algorithm of XQuery into SQL, and the XML template construction algorithm for generating XML documents.

According to the development of embedded systems, they are used in various fields. However, the productivity and the quality of embedded systems are not acceptable because of the hardware environment-oriented development. Several works has proposed new techniques using a formal specification method or complex template, but due to high complexity and low flexibility of the method, it is difficult to be used. Accordingly, this paper presents a new approach to develop embedded device drivers which are kinds of embedded system software. In our approach, we define a light device driver template for ensuring high flexibility and productivity and generate the device driver by incorporating with embedded system information represented by XML. By using XML we consider the design phase in device driver development process for the quality of the driver. Our approach, improves the reusability of embedded device driver and finally, it will improve productivity and quality of embedded system.

인터넷에 접속하기 위해 사용하는 단말기가 기존 유선 인터넷의 경우에는 desktop computer 환경이 대부분이었으나 무선 인터넷 접속 단말기는 스마트 폰이나 handheld 기기등 다양하며 이러한 단말기들이 모두 비슷한 환경을 갖지 않기 때문에 웹 컨텐트를 모든 단말기에서 접근 가능하도록 만들기가 어렵다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 기존의 XML 문서를 기반으로 웹 컨텐트를 구성하고, 컨텐츠를 표현하기 위한 presentation template를 작성하여 이 두 문서를 분석하여 웹 컨텐트 페이지를 다양한 단말기에 적합한 포맷과 마크업으로 변환하는 방법을 제시한다.

본 논문은 XSD(XML Schema Definition)기반의 XML 문서를 웹, 엑셀 환경에서 다양한 관점으로 볼 수 있도록 템플릿 서비스를 제공하기 위한 시스템이다. 템플릿 서비스는 데이터스킨 서버에서 스킨을 통하여 서비스되며, XML 문서를 다양한 문서로 변환할 수 있도록 한다. 예로 XML 문서를 HTML로 변경하는 경우 XSLT(Extensible Style Language Transformation) 를 사용할 수 있고, 엑셀 문서로 변환할 경우 엑셀 템플릿을 만들어 스킨으로 제공할 수 있다. 스킨은 다양한 방법으로 구현될 수 있으며, XML 문서에서 사용자가 원하는 문서로 만들기 위한 미들웨어 역할을 한다. 사용자는 데이터스킨 변환 서버에 접속하여 가지고 있는 XML 정보들을 차트, 그래프, 수식 등으로 쉽게 변환할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 OWC(Office Web Component)로 쉽고 빠르게 문서를 변환 할 수 있도록 한다.

UDDI (Universal Discovery Description and Integration) Registry is used for Web Services registration and search. UDDI offers the search result to the keyword-based query. UDDI supports WSDL registration but it does not supports WSDL search. So it is required that contents based search and ranking using name and description in UDDI registration information and WSDL. This paper proposes a retrieval engine considering contents of services registered in the UDDI and WSDL. It uses Vector Space Model for similarity comparison between contents of those. UDDI registry information hierarchy and WSDL hierarchy are considered during searching process. This engine suppports two discovery methods. One is Keyword-based search and the other is template-based search supporting ranking for user's query. Template-based search offers how service interfaces correspond to the query for WSDL documents. Proposed retrieval engine can offer search result more accurately than one which UDDI offers and it can retrieve WSDL which is registered in UDDI in detail.

Web applications based on J2EE($Java^{TM}$ 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition) were occurred for solution to overcome the limitations in time and space that the former applications had. Recently, lots of solutions using frameworks are being suggested to develope applications more quickly and efficiently. In this paper, we propose the template for several processes and types, which should be taken in presentation layer of web applications. This idea was based on the fact that web applications developers can concentrate on their specific tasks with independent manner in layered architecture. This template is XML-typed document that shows information about presentation layer of Web applications, which the user wants to compose. This template is inputted to the code generator. After then, the code generator generates skeleton code in presentation layer automatically after parsing information of XML documents. It means that we can develope Web applications more efficiently, by constructing skeleton code which inherits from hot spot classes of framework. Using this template and code generator, developer can develop Web applications with little practice and also is easy to cooperate with other developers to develop them just in time with distributing the standard development process.

사업 영역 확대와 네트워크 발달로 인해 전자상거래(Electronic Commerce)는 점차 국제적 환경으로 확대되고 있으며, 장소나 시간에 구애받지 알고 정보를 전송할 수 있게 되었다. 거래되는 업무가 증가됨에 따라 거래내용, 결제 내용(계좌번호, 카드번호 등), 비밀번호 등 교환되는 정보의 종류도 다양해져 보안의 중요성이 대두되었다. 이에 데이터 사용 효율과 응용 가능성을 높이기 위해 차세대 인터넷 표준으로 대두되고 있는 XML을 메시지 처리 단위로 정의하고, XML 기반의 인터넷 메시징 시스템인 IMSX (Internet Messaging System based on XML)을 설계하였으며, 보안 위협으로부터 대응하기 위해 암호화(Encryption)와 전자서명(Digital Signature) 등의 메시지 레벨의 응용 보안을 적용하였다. 또한 문서 송신, 문서 수신, 검색, 문서 변환, 템플릿(Template) 제공, 보안 서비스 등을 선정하여 구현하였다.
