Reliability Aging of Oxide Integrity on Low Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon TFTs

  • In this paper, we demonstrate the impact of oxide interface-state on low temperature poly-Si TFTs. The TFTs with interface-state exhibit poor performance and serious degradation under hot carrier and gate bias stress. Our results indicate that the worse oxide integrity cause initial characteristic shift and device instability.

  • An air flow measurement device is proposed. The thermal characteristic of a semiconductor element is adopted as a cooling parameter of thermal convection rate. The difference between forced convection and natural convection of two Zener diodes results enough difference in temperature. Experiment at various air flow conditions shows the measuring capability of the air flow in a duct. This measuring device has some merits, such as a reliability n hard field condition, simple circuit for signal processing, small volume of the element, less air flow resistance, independance of various ai temperature. The experimental result shows that it is an exact and usefull air flow measurement device.

  • Electro-magnetic clutch which is affected by elements of electric, magnetic and mechanical friction is important that it has a characteristic changes by environmental impact. Expecially, it is equipped in railroad sideway which is bleak external environment. Therefore, this paper investigated affections by temperature changes, which can make out through physical characteristics such as friction torque, minimum slipping torque, rated slipping torque of electro-magnetic dutch.

  • BSCCO thin films are fabricated via a co-deposition process at an ultra-low growth rate using ion beam sputtering. The sticking coefficient of Bi element exhibits a characteristic temperature dependence. This temperature dependence of the sticking coefficient was explained consistently on the basis of the evaporation and sublimation processes of Bi$_2$O$_3$.

  • During braking at a train, thermal energy is generated due to the frictions between disk and lining and wheel and shoe. In general, the braking transfers the kinetic energy into thermal energy. Therefore. the frictional characteristics are varied according to the braking force, the thermal resistance, and the thermostable, etc. Using a Dynamo testing we have studied the frictional characteristics and the thermal distribution to investigate a stable speed and to improve the testing method through comparing and analysing in the measurement or the thermocouple temperature and infrared camera.

  • In this paper, we investigated the wear rate, braking temperature and stopping distance of the composite brake shoe for diesel locomotive in the field test. The wear rate and braking temperature of the composite brake shoe would rather than cast iron. Also, the stopping distance of composite brake shoe is 450m at 100km/h. This result of field test shown that the density distribution of the composite brake shoe influence on wear rate.

  • In this study. CT specimens were prepared from ASME SA5l6 which was used for pressure vessel plates for room and low temperature service. And we got the following characteristics from fatigue crack growth test carried out in the environment of room and low temperature at $25^{\circ}C$, -3$0^{\circ}C$, -6$0^{\circ}C$, -8$0^{\circ}C$, -10$0^{\circ}C$ and -12$0^{\circ}C$ in the range of stress ratio of 0.1 by means of opening mode displacement. At the constant stress ratio, the threshold stress intensity factor range ΔKsub/th/ in the early stage of fatigue crack growth ( Region I) and stress intensity factor range ΔK in the stable of fatigue crack growth ( Region II) was increased in proportion to descend temperature. It assumed that the fatigue resistance characteristics and fracture strength at low temperature is considerable higher than that of room temperature in the early stage and stable of fatigue crack growth region. The straight line slope relation of logarithm da.dN -ΔK in RegionII, that is, the fatigue crack growth exponent m increased with descending temperature at the constant stress ratio. It assumed that the fatigue crack growth rate da/dN is rapid in proportion to descend temperature in Region II and the cryogenic-brittleness greatly affect a material with decreasing temperature.

  • The characteristic of dielectric breakdown in solid insulating material dominates the reliability and safety of power equipment and affects directly to its life. In this point of view, the thickness and temperature dependence of dielectric breakdown strength and mechanism of dielectric breakdown in low density polyethylene which has been employed widely as insulating material have been technically reviewed by examinations of thermal property. The dielectric breakdown strength depending on its thickness was measured 2.6[MV/cm] at the thickness of 20[${\mu}m$] and 1.9[MV/cm] at the thickness of 75[${\mu}m$] based on ambient temperature of 30[$^{\circ}C$]. It is shown the temperature dependence that dielectric breakdown strength decreases in linear as the thickness increases. The dielectric breakdown strength depending on temperature was measured 2.6[MV/cm] at the temperature of 30[$^{\circ}C$], 1.6[MV/cm] at 60[$^{\circ}C$] and 1.3[MV/cm] at 90[$^{\circ}C$] based on the thickness of 20[${\mu}m$]. As the ambient temperature increases, the temperature dependence is shown that a very large drop is occurred up to temperature of 60[$^{\circ}C$] and a very small drop is discovered over 60[$^{\circ}C$].

한반도의 날씨 스트레스 지수 NET(Net Effective Temperature) 분포의 특성 (The Spatial and temporal distributions of NET(Net Effective Temperature) with a Function of Temperature, Humidity and Wind Speed in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 상대적 날씨 스트레스 지수로 NET의 적용 가능성을 파악하고자 하였다. 기상청에서 예보하고 있는 기온, 습도, 바람 자료를 이용하여 NET 값의 시공간적 분포 특성을 분석하였다. 여름철 스트레스 지수인 일 최고 NET의 지역별 스트레스 기준값은 바람과 습도보다는 기온의 영향을 받으므로 일 최고 기온의 분포와 유사하다. 겨울철 스트레스 지수인 일 최저 NET의 스트레스 기준값은 산지 지역과 서울 이북 지역에서는 낮은 기온의 영향을. 해안 지역에서는 강한 바람의 영향으로 기준값이 여름철에 비하여 다양하게 나타난다. 스트레스가 강한 날의 발생 빈도는 여름철은 뚜렷한 연변화가 나타나지 않지만, 겨울철에는 1990년대 중반 이후 뚜렷한 증가 경향을 보인다.

소각로 운영조건에 따른 연소배가스 특성 연구 (The study of combustion gas characteristic by incinerator operation condition.)

  • 본 연구는 경기도 A지역 자원회수시설에서 연소온도의 변화에 따른 NOx, SOx, CO, HCL, DUST의 발생변화와 보일러 배출가스 온도, 보일러 출구산소 농도, 반건식 반응탑 출구온도, 촉매탑온도, 배출가스 온도의 변화를 분석하였다. SOx, CO, Hcl, DUST는 자원회수시설 내의 연소온도가 상승함에 따라 거의 5 ppm 미만의 일정한 값을 유지한 반면 NOx 는 40 ppm에서 70 ppm으로 증가하는 추세였다. 한편 보일러 배출가스 온도와 촉매탑 온도는 일정치를 유지하였으나 보일러 출구의 산소농도는 조금씩 감소하는 결과를 나타내었다.
