A Technology Mining Framework in Developing New Wireless (이동통신 서비스 개발을 위한 유망기술 발굴 프레임워크)

  • In this paper, we propose a technology mining framework for mobile communication industry. We develop a two phase approach of new technology identification and service enhancement. The new technology identification process consists of R&D issues analysis, technology theme design, and emerging technology sampling. On the other hand, existing service enhancement process has technology landscaping, keyword based search, and technological growth analysis. By implementing these two phase frameworks, we develop a technology portfolio for mobile communication industry.

  • The role of wireless power transmission(WPT) on the information communication technology and the re-set location of WPT technology in the hype cycle to apply the recent trend of market and industry are presented in this paper. We describe the need of national strategy to change from the phase of industry promote to the phase of industry revitalization. The relation between the management of spectrum and electromagnetic environment is analysed in the view point of physics. We also propose the direction of policy for industry revitalization adapted the world changing circumstance.

  • 종래의 산업연관분석은 산업과 기술의 관계에 대한 명확한 해답을 줄 수 없었다. 그러나 OECD에서 최초로 연구한 기술연관분석은 산업과 기술의 관계를 경제학적으로 설명함으로써 기술에 대한 경제정책적 응용을 가능하게 하였다. 본 고는 일본과학기술정보센터(Japanese Information Center for Science and Technology:JICST)의 자료에 기초하여 기술연관분석을 응용한 일본의 연구사례로서 앞으로 그 활용이 기대되고 있다.

  • WTO 체제의 등장과 기술경쟁의 가속화로 기술의 확보가 기업경쟁력의 핵심으로 등장하고 있는데, 우리나라 정보통신 산업의 경우 민간부문의 기술개발 활동은 그 투자면에서 뿐 아니라 기술관리 측면에서도 취약성을 면치 못하고 있다. 이에 우리나라 정보통신산업체를 대상으로 연구개발전략의 실태를 조사하여 그 문제점과 개선대안을 탐색한다. 실태조사 결과 정보통신산업체들의 연구개발전략은 아직 전사적 차원의 "Total R&D"개념이 다소 부족하고 장기적인 관점에서의 연구개발 활동이 미흡한 것으로 나타나, 중장기기술개발계획과 연계된 전략적 연구관리체제의 도입이 필수적이다.

The relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction, and moderating effect of gender (서비스품질과 고객만족의 관계 및 성별 조절효과에 관한 연구)

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction, and the moderating effect of gender. Based on the responses from 807 customers who encountered employees in telecommunication industry, the results of multiple regressional analysis showed that all service quality factors have positive relationships with customer satisfaction. The results of moderating analysis showed that empathy and tangibility have positive interactive-effects on customer satisfaction with gender. With increasing of empathy and tangibility, female customers have been more satisfied than male customers.

  • The systematic classification of database is much debated issue currently in telecommunication industry. Nevertheless, the attempt to build the systematic model is nowadays nowhere to be found. The purpose of this study is to gain a general overview relating to this subject and to make out a draft for the development of standard model. Relating th the study for the databases classification, it was classified from the 9 points of view: manufacturer, subject, processed form (level), (re)presented form, language, completion state and updating cycle, retrieval method, communication media, and use.

A Study on the Bundle Strategy through Attributes related to the Perceived Customer Value of Telecommunication Services (통신 서비스의 소비자 인지 가치 속성에 따른 결합 전략 연구)

  • This paper researches the value of domestic telecommunication bundle products. Customers evaluate each telecommunication products differently according to their attributes. The attributes affecting the customer value of telecommunication bundling can be categorized in 3 ones as follows; corporate image, service feature, and service price. Also authors analyze the difference of importancy that customers consider when they evaluate each products, and propose the optimal scenario for bundling. In conclusion, other two companies A, C excluding B should invest more resources into the portion that strengthen the attributes of company image, and service feature to upgrade their 'corporate image', and 'service feature'. According to 6-scenarios analysis on the bundle products, the QPS expansion of company A was the most advantageous position, but if companies B, C expand DPS made use of their strengths, they can prevent from decreasing additivity rapidly with sequential scenario. The above results show that one company may have equable power in each area, but if another company having strengths in special areas makes up for its weakness and differentiates gradually it can contribute to strengthen its competitiveness. This contributed much more theoretical and practical than the existing researches. Supposing that additivity index evaluated by consumers can be changed by efforts of companies, this scenario planning is the result of study showing that the investment and publicity of each company have to be considered as its characteristic of each product at the same time.

  • This paper has an intention of proposing useful parametric tables of each industry group within Korea. These parametric tables can be insightful criteria for those who are dealing with the exact valuation of company, technology or industry through Real Option Analysis (ROA) since the identification of the movement of underlying asset is the very first step to be done. To give the exact estimations of parameters and the most preferred model in each industry group, we cover topics on ROA, stochastic process, and parametric estimation method like Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) and Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE). Additionally, specific industry groups, such as, Internet service group and mobile telecommunication service group defined independently in this paper are also examined in terms of its property of movement with the suggesting of the most fitting stochastic model.
