환경 대기중 Nitrate의 생성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Formation of Nitrate in the Atmosphere)

  • A study on the formation of particulate nitrate$(NO_3^-)$ and gaseous nitrate$(HNO_3)$ in the atmosphere was carried out in Seoul from Oct 8 to 11 1991. To collect $NO_3^-$ and $HNO_3$ in the ambient air, dual filter pack sampler (47mm$\phi$) was used. In the dual filter pack sampler, the first filter was Teflon filter (poresize 1$\mum$) for collection of $NO_3^-$ and the second filter was Nylon filter (poresize 0.45 $\mum$) for $HNO_3$. Particulate nitrate$(NO_3^-)$ and Sulfate ions were analysed by Ion chromatography. $HNO_3$ concentration was higher in the day time $(9.93\mug/m^3)$ than the night time$(3.50\mug/m^3)$, and Particulate nitrate$(NO_3^-)$ concentration was higher in the night time and early morning$(6.21\mug/m^3)$ than the day time$(4.31\mug/m^3)$. The conversion rate of $NO_x$ to total nitrate$(NO_3^-, HNO_3)$ was 7.57%/hr in the day time and 4.79%/hr in the night time, and total average conversion rate was 5.60%/hr.

  • 본 논문에서는 테프론을 이용하여 커플링 수가 5개인 대역통과필터를 제안한다. BPF의 경우, 1 GHz 이내의 낮은 주파수에서는 좁은 대역폭과 저지대역에서 우수한 특성을 갖는 필터를 집중소자를 이용하여 만들 수 있지만 그 이상의 주파수에서는 유전체를 이용한 마이크로 스트립과 같은 분포소자를 이용하여 설계하여야 한다. 한편 분포 소자를 이용하는 방법으로서 2 GHz 이하에서는 저 비용이면서도 우수한 특성을 보이는 FR4를 사용하지만, 2 GHz ~ 10 GHz에서 FR4구조는 설계치와 측정치의 차이가 크므로 FR4 대신, 테프론을 이용한다. 제안한 필터의 중심 주파수는 2.3 GHz, 삽입 손실이 1.2 dB, 반사 손실이 30 dB, 대역폭이 100 MHz, 크기는 8.3 cm $\times$ 4.9 cm 이다.

카본블랙류 미세입자 포집을 위한 유리섬유 필터백의 고분자 표면처리에 관한 연구 (A study on the Polymer surface treatment of GF-filter bag for collection of fine Particle like carbon black)

  • In this paper, we have investigated on collection efficiency of fine particle of glass fiber-filter bag according to the surface treatment. The solution consisted of polytetrafluoroethylene(teflon), graphite powder, silicon resin and water was used as a basic surface treatment agent. Tensile strength of glass filter-bag increased with up to 3hrs and then decreased with surface treatment time. Tensile strength and initial modulus of the glass fiber-filter bag treated by iodine after basic surface treatment for 3hrs were lower than those of basic surface treatment for 3hrs, however collection efficiency and fracture strain were higher than those of basic surface treatment for 3hrs. Glass fiber-filter bag with lower initial modulus and more strain will be extend the durable period and the one treated by iodine after basic surface treatment 3or 3hrs is expected high collection efficiency of fine particle. This method makes it possible to manufacture glass fiber-filter bag of the optimum condition.

Mutagenicity of Diesel-Exhaust Particulates

  • Organic extracts of diesel- exhaust particulates were analyzed for mutagenicity using Ames Salmonella typhimurium assay system. An experimental diesel microbus used was drived on the chassis dynamometer according to CVS-75 mode. The samples were taken from the mixed gases in a dilution tunnel. With a high-volume air sampler equipped with double filter holders, particulate matters were collected on a teflon-coated glass fiber filter placed behind a activated carbon filter. After ultrasonic extraction with benzene- ethanol and evaporation to dryness, the residue was dissolved in dimethylsulfoxide. Each sample was tested toward 2 strains, TA100 and TA98 by the pre-incubation method in the absence and presence of S-9mix. Average concentration of diesel- exhaust particulates was about 116.6mg/m$^3$, and 44.1~62.2 % to the total weight of particulates, consisted of organic matters. The mutagenicities of diesel- exhaust particulate organic matters were 4,512 and 2,205 revertants/m$^3$ toward TA100 without and with S-9mix, respectively. Those toward TA98 were 13,367 and 3,715 revertants/m$^3$, respectively.

  • Conventional membrane systems was difficult to treatment for pulp and paper mills waste warter. Technological advances in membrane filtration systems have created opportunity for pulp and paper mills to treat effluent streams in order to meet stricter environmental constraints. "Vibratory Shear Enhanced Processing(VSEP)" developed by new logic international makes if possible to filter effluent streams without the fouling problems exhibited by conventional membrane systems. Various kinds of waste water occurred to and paper mills experiment with "VSEP" set up conventional membrane. The results were as followes : Excepting ultra filter($0.1{\mu}\textrm{m}$ Teflon, C-100, G-50), Nano filter(NTR-7450, DS-5, PVD-1) and reverse osmosis(ACM-4) was treated with very excellent weight of treatment, electric conductivity, removal COD, TDS, turbidity.

다층 평면형 초고주파 필터의 설계 (A Design of Multi-layer Planar Type Microwave Filter)

  • In this paper, a planar type bandpass filter in multilayered PCB is presented. The multilayered PCB structure has some advantages on fabricating microwave devices such as the size reduction and ability of tight coupling by folding or embedding. The proposed BPF has two transmission zeros at the both sides of the center frequency by using independent electric and magnetic coupling structure. The designed BPF with four layer teflon PCBs of dielectric constant 2.94 has dimensions of 24x20x1.524 in mm, center frequency of 2.47GHz and bandwidth of about l00MHz. A good agrement is achieved between the measured result and the simulated one. The influences of air gaps between the layers are also analyzed and presented.

여과지를 이용한 유기탄소의 측정 오차 보정 (Filter-based Correction for Positive Sampling Artifacts in the Determination of Ambient Organic Carbon)

  • This study describes the impact of positive sampling artifact caused by a filter-based sampling in the determination of ambient organic carbon (OC). Three different sampling media combinations were employed for this investigation: (1) Quartz filter-alone (Q-alone), (2) quartz filter behind quartz-fiber filter (QBQ), and (3) quartz filter and quartz filter behind Teflon filter (Q-QBT). The measurement of ambient OC was carried out at a semi-urban site near oceanside at the end of November of 2008. It was found that Q-alone sampling configuration resulted in a higher OC than QBQ and Q-QBT by 14% and 28%, respectively due to no correction for positive artifact caused by adsorption of gas-phase OC onto the filter. A lower quantity of OC was collected from the backup quartz filter on QBQ than that from Q-QBT. A possible explanation is that the front quartz filter of QBQ was not fully saturated with gas-phase OC during the sampling period, allowing smaller amount of gas-phase OC to reach the backup quartz filter. The contribution of positive artifact to $PM_{2.5}$ mass was approximately 2.15 ${\mu}g/m^3$ which is equivalent to 6% in terms of Q-QBT sampling configuration. The positive artifact was found to be more dominated during summer than during winter, showing temperature dependence. It was concluded that Q-QBT sampling configuration offers less impact of positive artifact on ambient OC sampling than QBQ in quantification of OC.

미세먼지 여지의 무게 측정을 위한 저비용 계량챔버 개발 및 성능평가 (Development and Evaluation of an Inexpensive Weighing Chamber for Particulate Filters)

  • Filter and microbalance sensitivity in measuring fine particulate matter mass is greatly influenced by particulate properties and environmental factors. Temperature and humidity control inside a measuring chamber with a microbalance, and neutralization of static charges on filters are essential for consistent filter weighing. Commercial weighing chambers are expensive with a unit price of tens of millions won. This study developed an inexpensive weighing chamber for weighing fine particulate matter and evaluatedits weighing performance. A microbalance with 1 ㎍ precision was used to measure the weight of a filter. The microbalance was set in a transparent acrylic enclosure (100 × 60 × 65 cm3) equipped with temperature and humidity control equipments. Weighing performance of the chamber was examined using Teflon filters with or without different particulate sample types. Temperature and humidity were maintained at approximately 23.2±1.2 ℃ and 36.2±1.8℃ for 8 days, respectively.

Aperture와 PBG를 적용한 대역통과 여파기 성능개선에 관한 연구 (Improvement of Band Pass Filter Using PBG and Aperture)

  • 본 논문에서는 접지면에 PBG 및 Aperture의 기능을 하는 셀을 에칭함으로써 PBG에의한 광대역 저지대역 여파기특성을 이용하여 본래 스트립라인이 가지고 있는 하모닉 성분(Second, Third Harmonic and etc)을 억제하였으며, Aperture 특성에 의하여 밴드폭이 넓어지는 2가지 효과를 동시에 볼 수 있는 셀을 제안하였다. 대역통과 여파기는 결합 스트립 여파기를 사용하였다[l]. 대역통과여파기의 대역폭은 신뢰할 수 있는 길이인 0.2mm를 구현할 수 있도록 맞추어 설계하여 대역폭을 가능한 넓게 만들었고 기판은 유전율이 3.2인 기판을 사용하였다. 필터의 중심주파수는 2.14GHz, 대역폭은 230MHz를 얻었다. 이를 Aperture를 통해 310MHz까지 80MHz 즉, 34.7%까지 증가시켰으며 PBG를 통하여 하모닉성분(2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th)을 20-30dB까지 억제하였다.

대기 에어로졸 검댕입자 측정을 위한 두 aethalometer의 상호비교 (Inter-comparison of Two Aethalometers for Aerosol Black Carbon Measurements)

  • Recently, a real-time, pocket-sized aethalometer (microAeth$^{(R)}$ model AE51) has been developed by Magee Scientific Inc. for measuring the concentration of black carbon in the atmosphere. In this study, two aethalometers, models AE-16 and AE-51, which measure the optical absorption of carbon particles at infrared 880 nm, were operated at time interval of 5-min between January 9 and February 10, 2010 at an urban site of Gwangju, to compare the accuracy of black carbon (BC) concentrations reported from the AE-51 model and to investigate reasonable sampling time of filter media in the AE-51. The air samples in the AE-51 and AE-16 models are collected on T60 (Teflon coated glass fiber) filter media (filter spot area: 0.07 $cm^2$) and quartz fiber roll-tape filter (filter spot area: 1.67 $cm^2$), respectively. Real-time measurement results indicate that when the filters were clean, the AE-51 BC was greater than or similar to the AE-16 BC data. However as the filter spots become darker, the AE-16 BC concentrations were higher than the AE-51 BC data and the difference in the BC concentrations from two AE models becomes gradually increased. Relative error in the AE-51 and AE-16 BC concentrations showed significance difference depending on used time of the filter in the AE-51 model, weather pattern, levels of air pollution, etc, ranging from 11.5% (used time of the filter in AE-51: 1,595 min) to 52.5% (used time of the filter in AE-51: 2,085 min). When considering the used time of one filter ticket in the AE-51 model and difference (or relative error %) between AE-16 and AE-51 BC concentrations, it is recommended that the standard sampling time per one filter ticket within the AE-51 model be less than approximately 24 hr (1,440 min) under the normal weather conditions except for severe haze and mist events.
