  • This study analyzed the aspect of occupational contents shown in total 24 types of Technology & Home Economics (1). (2) textbooks for middle school in accordance with the 2009 revised curriculum. Analyzing the type of occupation shown in textbooks based on the Korean Standard Classification of Occupations(hierarchical classification), the frequency(ratio), and the aspect of occupational contents in each unit of textbooks and each data type, this study provided basic data to be able to understand diverse aspects of occupational contents. In the results of study, in case of Technology & Home Economics textbooks for middle school, the large area of 'home life' presented occupational contents in the relatively high ratio than the 'world of technology' while the frequency(ratio) of occupational contents was very much different in each publisher, large area, and unit. The occupation name presented in textbooks provided very limited information in the level of 5.27% of occupations presented in the Korea Dictionary of Occupations. Especially, providing occupational information concentrated in professionals & relevant practiceans in the type of the Korean Standard Classification of Occupations(hierarchical classification), it was limited to provide opportunities to learn the diversity related to occupation. Based on such results of study, on top of introducing diverse occupational contents to make students cherish all the occupations, it would be also necessary to seek for institutional measures related to textbook development/career education, so that they could explore career by considering their aptitude and interest.

We analyzed 12 types of high school freshman textbooks under the revised $7^{th}$ national curriculum and selected 5 major subjects of learning 'traditional culture', 'History of Han-bok', 'colors of Han-bok', 'pattern & material of Han-bok', 'globalization of Han-bok' related to 'change of home life & culture' chapter. Also we developed 5-period Teaching-Learning Lesson Plan and 48-teaching materials(22 for students, 22 - for classes, 4 for teachers) and applied it to usual classes. The mean score of youth's awareness of traditional clothing culture in the post-test was significantly higher than in the pre-test. We concluded it was highly efficient in the youth's awareness of traditional clothing culture as right awareness about traditional clothing life culture, acceptance of foreign culture, positive attitude in traditional culture. Awareness about traditional clothing culture education was improved significantly, so we recognized importance of traditional culture education through it. We suggest that various themes on traditional culture should be developed and more reinforced. Also we need various traditional culture succession research as field of food life, house life and study Korea's cultural heritage.

  • This study identified the appropriateness of acceptance models of smart clothing and differences in the hypothesis of the path to clothing acceptance by classifying consumers depending on the level of technology innovation and fashion innovation through the extended TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) presented by Chae (2009). 815 copies of data were collected from adults over twenty living in major South Korean cities and analyzed them using a SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 5.0 package. Based on the average value of technology innovation and fashion innovation, the respondents were classified into: Group 1 with high technology innovation and fashion innovation, Group 2 with high technology innovation but low fashion innovation, Group 3 with low technology innovation but high fashion innovation, and Group 4 with low technology innovation and fashion innovation. The appropriateness of models for the four classified groups was verified. The analysis proved that an extended TAM for each classified group explains the acceptance process of smart clothing; especially the appropriateness of model of Group 1 and Group 4 was comparatively higher than other groups. Perceived usefulness was revealed as the key variable that affects consumer attitudes to accept smart clothing. Perceived ease of use has indirect positive effects on consumer attitudes passing through perceived usefulness and clothing involvement partly exerted impacts on consumer attitudes and the intention of acceptance. The mediating role of attitudes to explain the intention of the acceptance of smart clothing is high and suggests that it is necessary to take a positive role to help the consumer perceive the functional and useful aspects of the clothing.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents of 'housing' unit in middle school Technology-Home Economics textbooks according to the 2015 revision curriculum based on the targets of SDGs. All contents of the ten textbooks of five publishers, such as texts, photographs/figures/tables, activity tasks, and supplementary materials were analyzed in terms of SDGs targets. The number of 'housing' contents among 4 small housing units of Technology-Home Economics book 1 & 2 varied from 64 to 97 by publishers. Beside SDGs4.7, which contains inclusive and general ESDGs, 24 targets of 10 SDGs were found to be related to the contents of 'housing' and were grouped into 15 target categories. The number of SDGs target categories related to housing contents of each small unit and total of all units differed by publishers. Each of 4 small 'housing' units from all the five publishers was related to 6~10 target categories. The contents of five book 1's were related to smaller number of target categories than those of five book 2's. They corresponded to 9 and 12 target categories, consecutively. Only SDGs' target11.1 (appropriate and safe housing and basic services) was related to all the four small units of 'housing' contents among all the five publishers. covering 43.8% of the housing contents. In conclusion, the contents of the 'housing' unit were related to broad range of SDGs targets. Further study could relate goals of teaching-learning plan to various global targets of SDGs according to the contents of 'housing' in order to accomplish ESDGs.

  • The purpose of this study is to contribute to the improvement of the resilience of adolescents through the analysis of activities in high school Technology·Home Economics textbooks developed according to the 2015 revised high school Technology·Home Economics curriculum. For this purpose, we analyzed the activities of 12 high school Technology·Home Economics textbooks in the 'human development and family' and 'family life and safety' areas based on the sub-factors of resilience. A total of 303 activities were extracted from 12 textbooks. After analyzing the activities of the three people, the process of revising and supplementing the analysis criteria through consultation was conducted three times and then reviewed by three experts. The analysis found that although there were differences in the number of activities to be dealt with, it was common to focus on raising interpersonal ability(54.8%) among the sub-factors of resilience. Followed by self-regulation(39.4%) and positive(5.8%). Second, the analysis of the activities by core concepts showed that the most activities dealing with the sub-factors of resilience were in the 'family life and safety' area, which deals with 'safety (44.3%)' as a core concept. And in the area of human development and family, which deals with development (25.1%) and relationships (36%) as core concept, the sub-factors of resilience were also covered. This can be inferred that the home curriculum is suitable for systematic education of resilience, and that the term resilience in the curriculum has been considered and dealt with resilience before it is specifically mentioned. I hope that the results of this study will be used as basic data for the development of home and resilience education programs in the future.

  • The contents of 'Nutrition and Diet for Adolescents' in the 12 technology and home economics middle school 1st grade textbooks are analyzed based on the elaboration theory. The elaboration theory is the lecture strategy with 7 essential elements, proposed by Reigeluth. The elaboration strategies shown in 'Nutrition of Adolescents' and 'Diet for Adolescents' are all the same in 12 books, the conceptual elaboration, and the process elaboration, respectively. On the other hand, the elaboration strategies shown in 'Diet and Dietary Habit for Adolescents Nutrition Issues' and 'Proper Eating Habit and Nutrition Issues' are different depend upon the textbooks, all 3 conceptual, theoretical, and process elaborations strategies are shown. The element of pro study is presented by study objective, opening the thinking, and looking back. The summarizer is presented in all 11 but 1 textbooks by various activities and data. On the other hand, the element of analogy has the lowest implementation rate, only 3 among the 12 textbooks implement the analogy. The cognitive-strategy activator and learner control are shown in all 12 textbooks, mostly by data. Implementation of more activities and more analogies might be helpful to the students' participation and understanding the contents of 'Nutrition and Diet for Adolescents'.
