This study identifies efficient earthquake intensity measures (IMs) for seismic performances and fragility evaluations of the reactor containment building (RCB) in the advanced power reactor 1400 (APR1400) nuclear power plant (NPP). The computational model of RCB is constructed using the beam-truss model (BTM) for nonlinear analyses. A total of 90 ground motion records and 20 different IMs are employed for numerical analyses. A series of nonlinear time-history analyses are performed to monitor maximum floor displacements and accelerations of RCB. Then, probabilistic seismic demand models of RCB are developed for each IM. Statistical parameters including coefficient of determination (R2), dispersion (i.e. standard deviation), practicality, and proficiency are calculated to recognize strongly correlated IMs with the seismic performance of the NPP structure. The numerical results show that the optimal IMs are spectral acceleration, spectral velocity, spectral displacement at the fundamental period, acceleration spectrum intensity, effective peak acceleration, peak ground acceleration, A95, and sustained maximum acceleration. Moreover, weakly related IMs to the seismic performance of RCB are peak ground displacement, root-mean-square of displacement, specific energy density, root-mean-square of velocity, peak ground velocity, Housner intensity, velocity spectrum intensity, and sustained maximum velocity. Finally, a set of fragility curves of RCB are developed for optimal IMs.
Many therapeutic class drugs such as beta-blocker, corticosteroids, NSAIDs, etc are prohibited substances in the horse racing industry. Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) technology makes it possible to isolate drugs from interference, enables various drug analyses in complex biological samples due to its sensitive sensitivity, and has been successfully applied to doping control. In this paper, we describe a rapid and sensitive method based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) using solid phase cartridge and LC-MS/MS to screen for different class's 35 drug targets in equine plasma. Plasma samples were pretreated by SPE with the NEXUS cartridge consisted non-polar carbon resin and minimum buffer solvent. Chromatographic separation of the analytes was performed on ACQUITY HSS C18 column (2.1 × 150 mm, 1.8 ㎛). The elution gradient was conducted with 5 mM ammonium formate (pH 3.0) in distilled water and 0.1% formic acid in acetonitrile at a flow rate of 0.25 mL/min. The selected reaction monitoring (SRM) mode was used for drug screening with multiple transitions in the positive ionization mode. The specificity, limit of detection, recovery, and stability was evaluated for validation. The method was found to be sensitive and reproducible for drug screening. The method was applied to plasma sample analysis for the proficiency test from the Association of Racing Chemist.

With the advent and realization of Software Defined Network (SDN) architecture, many organizations are now shifting towards this paradigm. SDN brings more control, higher scalability, and serene elasticity. The SDN spontaneously changes the network configuration according to the dynamic network requirements inside the constrained environments. Therefore, a monitoring system that can monitor the physical and virtual entities is needed to operate this type of network technology with high efficiency and proficiency. In this manuscript, we propose a real-time monitoring system for data collection and visualization that includes the Prometheus, node exporter, and Grafana. A node exporter is configured on the physical devices to collect the physical and virtual entities resources utilization logs. A real-time Prometheus database is configured to collect and store the data from all the exporters. Furthermore, the Grafana is affixed with Prometheus to visualize the current network status and device provisioning. A monitoring system is deployed on the physical infrastructure of the KOREN topology. Data collected by the monitoring system is further pre-processed and restructured into a dataset. A monitoring system is further enhanced by including machine learning techniques applied on the formatted datasets to identify the elephant flows. Additionally, a Random Forest is trained on our generated labeled datasets, and the classification models' performance are verified using accuracy metrics.
As the field of application of in-situ gamma spectroscopy is diversified, proficiency is required for consistent and accurate analysis. In this study, a program was developed to virtually create gamma energy spectra of artificial nuclides, which are difficult to obtain through actual measurements, for training. The virtual spectrum was created by synthesizing the spectra of the background radiation obtained through actual measurement and the theoretical spectra of the artificial radionuclides obtained by a Monte Carlo simulation. Since the theoretical spectrum can only be obtained for a given geometrical structure, representative major geometries for in-situ measurement (ground surface, concrete wall, radioactive waste drum) and the detectors (HPGe, NaI(Tl), LaBr3(Ce)) were predetermined. Generated virtual spectra were verified in terms of validity and harmonization by gamma spectrometry and energy calibration. As a result, it was confirmed that the energy calibration results including the peaks of the measured spectrum and the peaks of the theoretical spectrum showed differences of less than 1 keV from the actual energies, and that the calculated radioactivity showed a difference within 20% from the actual inputted radioactivity. The verified data were assembled into a database and a program that can generate a virtual spectrum of desired condition was developed.
In the recent farming industry, there is a growing diffusion of drones, which are recognized as a crucial technology of the 4 th industrial revolution to cope with aging. Especially, filming and pest control using drones are representative fields that have different age groups for obtaining a national license of multicopter that is a ultra-light flying device, and can create profits after getting a license. However, pest control technology using drones has different spray effects depending on levels of operational proficiency, since this highly relies on an operator's operating skills. It is anticipated that if this issue is supplemented, the use of drones for pest control in the farming industry will diversify. For analysis of spraying characteristics of agricultural pest control drones, this study aims to formulate effective spraying hours and effective spraying intervals and suggest an algorithm, which facilitates an accurate calculation of pest control area depending on the kinds of pest control drones. This algorithm can be used in the field of pest control by improving scatterling issues caused by drone flight methods of drone pest controllers and building an optimum pest control manual in future.

This paper proposes a confronting feedback control structure and controllers for positive output elementary super lift Luo converters (POESLLCs) working in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). The POESLLC offers the merits like high voltage transfer gain, good efficiency, and minimized coil current and capacitor voltage ripples. The POESLLC working in DCM holds the value of not having right half pole zero (RHPZ) in their control to output transfer function unlike continuous conduction mode (CCM). Also the DCM bestows superlative dynamic response, eliminates the reverse recovery troubles of diode and retains the stability. The proposed control structure involves two controllers respectively to control the voltage (outer) loop and the current (inner) loop to confront the time-varying ON/OFF characteristics of variable structured systems (VSSs) like POESLLC. This study involves two different combination of feedback controllers viz. the proportional integral controller (PIC) plus sliding mode controller (SMC) and the fuzzy logic controller (FLC) plus SMC. The state space averaging modeling of POESLLC in DCM is reviewed first, then design of PIC, FLC and SMC are detailed. The performance of developed controller combinations is studied at different working states of the POESLLC system by MATLAB-Simulink implementation. Further the experimental corroboration is done through implementation of the developed controllers in PIC 16F877A processor. The prototype uses IRF250 MOSFET, IR2110 driver and UF5408 diodes. The results reassured the proficiency of designed FLC plus SMC combination over its counterpart PIC plus SMC.

As mobile forensics has emerged as an essential technique, the demand for technology development, education and training is increasing, wherein images are used. Academic societies in South Korea and national institutions in the US and the UK are leading the Mobile Forensic Image development. However, compared with disks, images developed in a mobile environment are few cases and have less active research, causing a waste of time, money, and manpower. Mobile Forensic Images are also difficult to trust owing to insufficient verification processes. Additionally, in South Korea, there are legal issues involving the Telecommunications Business Act and the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information. Therefore, in this study, we requested a review of a standard model for the development of Mobile Forensic Image from experts and designed an 11-step development model. The steps of the model are as follows: a. setting of design directions, b. scenario design, c. selection of analysis techniques, d. review of legal issues, e. creation of virtual information, f. configuring system settings, g. performing imaging as per scenarios, h. Developing a checklist, i. internal verification, j. external verification, and k. confirmation of validity. Finally, we identified the differences between the mobile and disk environments and discussed the institutional efforts of South Korea. This study will also provide a guideline for the development of professional quality verification and proficiency tests as well as technology and talent-nurturing tools. We propose a method that can be used as a guide to secure pan-national trust in forensic examiners and tools. We expect this study to strengthen the mobile forensics capabilities of forensic examiners and researchers. This research will be used for the verification and evaluation of individuals and institutions, contributing to national security, eventually.

The mandatory use of BIM(Building Information Model) in larger Korean public construction projects necessitates participants to have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant procedures and technologies, especially during the bidding stage. However, most small and medium-sized construction and engineering companies possess limited BIM proficiency and understanding. This hampers their ability to recognize bidding requirements and make informed decisions. To address this challenge, our study introduces a method to gauge the complexity of BIM requirements in bidding documents. This is achieved by integrating a morphological analyzer, which encompasses BIM bidding terminology, with a deep learning model. We investigated the effects of the parameters in our proposed deep learning model and examined its predictive validity. The results revealed an F1-score of 0.83 for the test data, indicating that the model's predictions align closely with the actual BIM performance challenges.
