  • We aimed to find out how teaching ethics and empathy affect the perception of children's rights with 297 pre-service early childhood teachers enrolled in the Department of Early Childhood Education at universities located in Busan. Through this, the purpose of this study was to present basic data for the development of a character development program for a high-quality early childhood teacher training institution. We derived the following research results. First, as a result of examining the degree of recognition of pre-service early childhood teachers' teaching ethics, empathy, and awareness of children's rights, the average value was high in the order of teaching ethics, awareness of children's rights, and empathy. Second, there was a positive correlation between pre-service early childhood teachers' empathy ability, teaching ethics and awareness of children's rights, and empathy ability and awareness of children's rights. Third, as a result of examining the relative effects of teaching ethics and empathy of pre-service early childhood teachers on the recognition of children's rights, social ethics was found to be the strongest predictor among teaching ethics. In this study, we identified that teaching ethics and empathy are effective in various approaches to promote awareness of children's rights in pre-service early childhood teachers. And the results of this study provides the basic data for the character development of desirable teachers that pre-service early childhood teachers should have.

However Internet ethics education for the would-be teachers is very insufficient. Therefore, it is very important that teacher training institutions to train teachers operates Internet ethics curriculum and teaches it to would-be teachers. In this paper, we analyzed the operating status about Internet ethics curriculum in teacher training institutions in which open a major in computer related education. As a result, only less than 30% of the entire teacher training institutions are operating to have the curriculum. So, in order to solve the problem, Internet ethics curriculum in teacher training institutions should be strengthened and we should have applied it to other curriculum in other major. In addition, training and retraining to the teachers for Internet ethics should be strengthened.

The ultimate goal as well as the first principle of food ethics is a sustainable living of human race. • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of good death recognition, self-esteem, attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatmenton the consciousness of biomedical ethics in nursing students. Data were collected from 154 nursing students in B city and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 22.0. The degree of consciousness of biomedical ethics in nursing students was 2.87±0.26. There were significant differences in consciousness of biomedical ethics with respect to religion(t=-2.90, p=.004). There was positive correlation between consciousness of biomedical ethics and good death recognition(r=.27, p=.001), self-esteem(r=.36, p<.001), negative correlation between consciousness of biomedical ethics and attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment(r=-.29, p<.001). The factors affecting consciousness of biomedical ethics of the study subjects were good death recognition(β=.26, p<.001), self-esteem(β=.29, p<.001), attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment(β=-.30, p<.001), religion(β=-.20, p=.004), with an explanatory power of 28.7%. Through this research requires the fellow study to determine the factors affecting consciousness of biomedical ethics of nursing students.

  • With the rapid development of science and technology and their increased impacts on our society, we witness a growing recognition of the importance of engineers' social responsibility and their professional ethics. Especially, the introduction of EC2000 and ABET into engineering education has been contributed to reinforce the systemization of ethics instruction. However, we could not attain the educational goal of integration of engineering education and ethics by general declaration of its importance. We need to deal with the vital questions how to institutionalize and implement engineering ethics in engineering curriculum. This article focuses on three aspects. First, it mainly outlines the developments and the traits of engineering education in American universities. Second, by classifying the engineering ethics education into several patterns, we discuss the characteristics and implications according to those Patterns. Third, it is helpful to explore the way how we could apply these patterns to Korean engineering education. It is expected to combine the stand-alone engineering ethics lectures with ethics -across -the -curriculum considering each university's circumstances and resources. Still, many challenges remain, most notably the need for engineering faculty and non-engineering faculty to cooperate and accept for engineering ethics education.

  • As cases of social and ethical problems caused by artificial intelligence technology have occurred, artificial intelligence ethics are drawing attention along with social interest in the risks and side effects of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence ethics should not just be known and felt, but should be actionable and practiced. Therefore, this study proposes an artificial intelligence ethics education model to strengthen the practical ability of artificial intelligence ethics. The artificial intelligence ethics education model derived educational goals and problem-solving processes using artificial intelligence through existing research analysis, applied teaching and learning methods to strengthen practical skills, and compared and analyzed the existing artificial intelligence education model. The artificial intelligence ethics education model proposed in this paper aims to cultivate computing thinking skills and strengthen the practical ability of artificial intelligence ethics. To this end, the problem-solving process using artificial intelligence was presented in six stages, and artificial intelligence ethical factors reflecting the characteristics of artificial intelligence were derived and applied to the problem-solving process. In addition, it was designed to unconsciously check the ethical standards of artificial intelligence through preand post-evaluation of artificial intelligence ethics and apply learner-centered education and learning methods to make learners' ethical practices a habit. The artificial intelligence ethics education model developed through this study is expected to be artificial intelligence education that leads to practice by developing computing thinking skills.

  • This study aims to analyze categorically social and ethical problems related to the recent development of information technology and, then to propose measures to prevent the spread of the problems. For this purpose, the study examines the information ethics and information-related ethical education in some of the advanced countries and suggests a measure to establish a desirable information ethics which, through the roles of information experts can increase the convenience of the information society. Particularly, information should have been used in the right manner but it is not. This has caused legal and technical problems and now there is a need for cultural, societal and ethical changes. In fact, new technology and legal - institutional devices may solve those problems caused by the development. However, we should recognize the importance of human in life by taking expected social efforts into broader consideration. it is to be desired, above all, that ethical problems should be discussed toward respecting the interests of both indivisuals and society with the protection of the illegal circulation of unlawful and unhealthy information. Consequently, in order to solve those problems, it is required that remove the negative effects both information providers and users themselves through the enactment and enforcement of information ethics doctrine. The reason is that professionals' decision may be more specific than others. Therefore, specialists who work information fields including computers should reevaluate the a n.0, pplication of ethics and make new regulations. By doing this the rightful advancement of information culture can be accomplishmented and responsible infortizen can be created. Futhermore, primary schools and other institutions, which train technical communication specialists, should teach technical skills, computers, as well as ethnological consciousness when they use information mediums.

  • Engineering Ethics is a fundamental and essential subject and the understanding of ethics is of great importance for students in engineering courses and professional engineers. Most courses would consist of ethical tests, decision making opportunities, case studies, case methods, and group discussion. It is important to consider each case carefully, so we offer a number of hypothetical short stories to students as case methods that they cover in detail. We check the behavior decisions of students as they read the hypothetical short stories. In this study, the short story was about 200 words in length. This paper shows how, with the addition of minor changes to the text, some students changed their behavioral decisions. For example, with the addition of "if you take financial liability for the losses," some thought that they would not want to carry the debt. Other cases showed how some students disliked the majority rule. The paper shows that this arranged hypothetical short story method can often guide student's decision-making process, and can result in decreased undesirable decisions.
