  • Zizyphi Spinosi Semen (ZSS) has been widely used for the treatment of anxiety and insomnia in Korea and China. This experiment was performed to know whether sanjoinine A, one of major alkaloid compounds of ZSS has anxiolytic and hypnotic effects through the GABAergic systems. Our results showed that administration of sanjoinine A increased open arm entries and spent time in open arm in the elevated plus-maze and increased head dips in hole board test. Different from traditional anxiolytic, diazepam, sanjoinine A itself did not decrease locomotor activity and strength level in mice. Furthermore, Sanjoinine A (0.5-2.0 mg/kg) prolonged sleeping time and reduced sleeping latency induced by pentobarbital in a dose-dependent manner similar to muscimol, a $GABA_A$ receptor agonist. Sanjoinine A (0.25-1.0 mg/kg) also increased sleeping rate and sleeping time in the combined administration at the sub-hypnotic dose of pentobarbital and showed synergic effects with muscimol in potentiating sleeping onset and enhancing sleeping time induced by pentobarbital. However, sanjoinine A itself did not induce sleeping at the higher dose. In addition, both of sanjoinine A and pentobarbital increased chloride influx in primary cultured cerebellar granule cells. Sanjoinine A decreased the $GABA_A$ receptor ${\alpha}$-subunit expression and increased ${\gamma}$-subunit expression, and had no effects on abundance of ${\beta}$-subunit in primary cultured cerebellar granule cells, showing different expression of subunits from pentobarbital. In conclusion, sanjoinine A shows anxiolytic-like effects and augments pentabarbital-induced sleeping behaviors through the modification of GABAergic systems. • By using text mining, we explore the factors responsible for an increase in SUV preference. We collected 32,679 posts related to SUVs from "Bobaedream," the largest online automobile community in South Korea, and applied the LDA topic model. While previous studies have explained the SUV boom as an individual's risk aversion strategy from crime, the result shows that the topic of 'Safety' appears to be an important factor in the SUV discourse in the context of a car accident and high-speed driving situation. To conclude, the consumption of SUVs in Korean society serves as a mean to prevent anxiety and danger to individuals when driving. We insist that decreasing social trust, caused by an increase in inequality, underlies the perception of risk on the road.

  • This study aims to examine the moderating effects of father's parenting participation on the effects of mother's parenting stress on children's problematic behavior. To reveal this, the 3rd year data of Panel Study on Korean Children was analyzed. The results of the analysis are like below. First, mother's parenting stress was a main factor having effects on children's internalization and externalization. The correlation and regression analysis showed that mother's parenting stress had positive effects on children's internalization and externalization. Second, father's parenting participation had no effects on children's problematic behavior. Third, mother's parenting stress had effects on children's internalization based on the interactions with father's parenting participation. In other words, father's parenting participation had moderating effects on the effects of mother's parenting stress on children's contraction and depression/anxiety. Based on it, the educational and welfare suggestions were made.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether group play therapy is effective in reducing problem behaviors of children with developmental disabilities. The subjects of study were in special schools and 5 children with disabilities using short-term care centers for the disabled, The research period was 12 sessions of 40 minutes twice a week using winter vacation from January 2, 2018 to January 28, The measuring tool, K-CBCL, was used to observe behavioral changes qualitatively. The summary of this study is as follows. First, children with disabilities significantly reduced their aggressiveness, atrophy, depression, and anxiety, and increased their activity during each session. Second, problem behaviors decreased after the intervention of group play therapy, and there were more decreases in internalization problems than externalization problems. The results of this study suggest that group play therapy is meaningful in reducing problem behavior according to the individual characteristics of children with disabilities.

  • This study was carried to examine overall psychopathological patterns of the Vietnam Civil War Veterans(Agent Orange patients)and Korean Civil War veterans(wounded soldier) using Rorschach tests. Test protocols of were compared with those of twenty Vietnam Civil War Veterans group and twenty-one Korean Civil War veterans. Rorschach protocols were administrated, scored, analysed according to the Exner's comprehensive system. Specifically, each Rorschach variable was divided into 3 clusters(e.g., core section, response determinants, and several special indices. The results of t-tests between the Vietnam Civil War Veterans group and the Korean Civil War veterans showed that Vietnam Civil War Veterans group were characterized as 1)cognitive rigidity, 2) ineffective problem solving, 3)emotional represion, 4)hypervigilance, 5)anxiety and 6) depressive tendency. These patterns suggest that still Vietnam Civil War Veterans experience the past trauma and lasting psychological seguela. Other implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to rethink the common theme that penetrates Faulkner's authorship. That is to say, does his authorship come from "being white"? To answer this question, I try to look into "otherness"/violence against others through re-reading Light in August. By borrowing the idea of "panopticon' mechanism in Michel Foucault's Surveiller et Punir, I will examine the process of justifying the violence against others, especially blacks. Through this process, I try to research the one side of Faulkner's Southern myth which was riddled with the history of pillage and violation of black people's rights. In Light in August, I will compare Jefferson society which encircles Joe Christmas to panopticon mechanism derived from Michel Foucault's Surveiller et Punir. Jefferson society as a designer of surveillance system and an executor as well ceaselessly surveils Joe Christmas's otherness/difference or blackness and tries to punish him whenever they can. With this mechanism, I try to explain that writer's repetitive narration of collective amoral behavior such as lynch comes from his anxiety and conscience about his dark side Southern history.

  • In line with the trend of the digital transformation, the financial sector is providing financial services with new technologies. Among them, the open banking, which is drawing attention from global financial industry, is a service environment that maximizes customers' convenience and data utilization. In addition, the shift in the digital paradigm has also increased anxiety that security problems such as hacking and information leakage caused by data sharing are also concerned. A failure to overcome the negative view will hinder the development of financial services. This study presents a security governance system that can safely and comprehensively manage data in a digital financial ecosystem. This prepares a technical application plan by presenting a digital financial security architecture to field workers, focusing on the open banking service environment. It can be seen that this study is worthwhile by presenting a comprehensive information protection system that allows financial IT to introduce and utilize open banking services in a changing environment.

  • As the payment service sector actively embraces artificial intelligence technology, "Voice Payments" is becoming a trend in contactless payment services. Voice payment services can execute payments faster and more intuitively through "voice," the most natural means of communication for humans. In this study, we selected richness, intimacy, and autonomy as factors for building trust with artificial intelligence agents. We wanted to determine whether the trust will be formed if the factors were applied to the voice payment services. The experiment results showed that the higher the richness and autonomy of the voice payment interface and the lower the intimacy, the higher the trust. In addition, the two-way interaction effects of richness and autonomy were significant. We analyzed and synthesized the collected short-answer system to identify users' anxiety when using voice payment services and proposed speech interface design ideas to increase their trust in the voice payment.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between job stress and coping style in college students. Participants were 314 students in a college. Data were collected using a self administered questionnaire. The survey was conducted from May 02, 2018 to May 28, 2018. There were statistically significant correlations between personality stress, family environmental stress, academic stress, school environment stress and emotion - centered coping style among sub - variables of job stress, Job anxiety stress was significantly correlated with social support seeking and emotion - centered coping style. Since college students' emotional stress coping style is related to depressive emotional and physical health problems, it is necessary to provide a psychological treatment program for early detection and coping with psychological support services, and a mixed service such as education, lecture, and camp. In addition, it is thought that strategic action skill training (plan, method, and technology) is needed to change from emotion - centered coping style to problem - solving style.
