The increasing technological demands of today call for complex systems, which in turn involve a series of optimization problems with some equality or inequality constraints. In this paper, we presents a real-coded genetic algorithm(RCGA) as an optimization tool which is implemented by three genetic operators based on real coding representation. Through a lot of simulation works, the optimum settings of its control parameters are obtained on the basis of global off-line robustness for use in off-line applications. Two optimization problems are Presented to illustrate the usefulness of the RCGA. In case of a constrained problem, a penalty strategy is incorporated to transform the constrained problem into an unconstrained problem by penalizing infeasible solutions.

Conventional membrane systems was difficult to treatment for pulp and paper mills waste warter. Technological advances in membrane filtration systems have created opportunity for pulp and paper mills to treat effluent streams in order to meet stricter environmental constraints. "Vibratory Shear Enhanced Processing(VSEP)" developed by new logic international makes if possible to filter effluent streams without the fouling problems exhibited by conventional membrane systems. Various kinds of waste water occurred to and paper mills experiment with "VSEP" set up conventional membrane. The results were as followes : Excepting ultra filter($0.1{\mu}\textrm{m}$ Teflon, C-100, G-50), Nano filter(NTR-7450, DS-5, PVD-1) and reverse osmosis(ACM-4) was treated with very excellent weight of treatment, electric conductivity, removal COD, TDS, turbidity.

현대 도시의 상수도 업무를 효율화, 고도화하기 위해서는 적절한 상수도정보체계의 운용이 필요하다. 이는 궁극적으로 도시종합정보체계의 부분이 되야 한다. 이를 수행하기 위해, 서울시 강남지역을 사례로 한국의 상수도 업무를 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로, 벡테 GIS의 macro-programming language를 이용하여, 한국토지행정업무의 기본인 지번을 기초로 도시상수도정보체계를 구축하여, 사례지역에 적용 후, 한국에서의 도시상수도정보체계가 효율적으로 운용되기 위한 활용방안, 제도적, 기술적 문제점 등을 논의하였다.

The technology acceptance model(TAM) has been widely studied in IS research in order to gain a better understanding of the adoption and use of information systems. Based on the TAM, we explored acceptance of internet shopping mall. 261 questionaries were collected and analyzed. The results of this study showed that the internet shopping mall characteristics such as information quality, system design quality, and communication are important factors in affecting user's visiting and buying frequency at the internet shopping mall. Therefore, the internet shopping mall providers should make the product's information more informative and design shopping mall sites more effectively and interactively.

In executing the large scale national project, such as development of space launch vehicle, it is most important to guarantee the technological reliability. However the reliability analysis of launch vehicle is different from other mass product goods because of the limitation of budget and number of tests. In this study, the reliability analysis technique of the propulsion system, which is one of the major sub-systems of launch vehicle is illustrated and applied to the liquid rocket engine of KSR-III.

Nowadays, crowdsourcing has become a popular concept and is widely used in many social, economical and technological areas. For consumer product design, crowdsourcing is implemented extensively with many cases. Although there has been a lot of research on the application of crowdsourcing for product design, the big picture of how factors influence the participartion of individuals from the crowd in a crowdsourcing project for product design has not yet been understood. This paper aims to investigate the relationships of crowd participation and influencing factors including: process, product, and reward. To do this, we conducted a survey on a crowd of engineering individuals and analyzed the collected data with data mining techniques. Main findings include the relationships of crowd participation versus process, product, and reward factors as well as regression models to predict crowd participation.

In our modern society, such electric facilities as lighting, elevators, water supplies, drainages, waste water treatments and landscape lighting are being more enlarged, diversified and technology-intensive owing to outstanding technological development, while they require reliable and safe electricity. On the other hand, as more electric energy is consumed with more complicated systems operated, any accident from a personal electric system is likely to have wider spreading effects. In particular, the electric receivers and transformers installed for such public facilities as subway stations require highest safety, reliability and economy, but such requirements tend to be less considered than such financial requirements as budget conditions, much less their safety and reliability. In such a circumstance, this study was aimed at suggesting some standards for safe, reliable and economic subway electric systems in terms of their scale, location and uses. Specifically, this study put forwards the ways to optimize and standardize the electric systems including receivers and transformers for subway stations in order to make them safer, more reliable and economic.

This paper classifies the critical knowledge/skill set required to IS practitioners according to content or domain of knowledge : IS technology knowledge/skills, organizational and societal knowledge/skills, interpersonal knowledge/skills, and personal traits knowledge/skills. The survey reveals that Korean IS practitioners rate interpersonal knowledge/skills and personal traits knowledge/skills the most important, and organizational and societal knowledge/skills the least important. Specifically, they rate creative thinking, critical thinking, interpersonal communication skills, team working skills, personal motivation, operating systems, programming languages, DB/data warehouse, IS technological trend, networkicommunicationisecurity especially important. The survey also shows that Koran IS practitioners feel knowledge deficiency in almost all knowledge/skills areas. The results confirm that the curriculum of universities, the training and education programs of industries, and IS/IT education policy of the government should be revised as soon as possible.

As a result of the technological advances in the E / E system, automotive system can provide advanced functions for safety and comfort. In addition, mechanical systems is changed to the electronic system. And the systems perform cooperative functions through communication. So the E / E system becomes more complicated as the size of the system increases. In order to secure the safety of complicated E / E system, ISO26262 standard require that Freedom from Interference and Sufficient Independence be met. In this paper, we propose a software scheduling method that can guarantee the independence between decomposed components after software decomposition and software development of ASIL D level EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) system.

Medical data is one of the data that must be kept in safe containers, far from intrusion, viewing and modification. With the technological developments in hospital systems and the use of cloud computing, it has become necessary to save, encrypt and even hide data from the eyes of attackers. Medical data includes medical images, whether they are x-ray images of patients or others, or even documents that have been saved in the image format. In this review, we review the latest research and the latest tools and algorithms that are used to protect, encrypt and hide these images, and discuss the most important challenges facing these areas.
